Diabetes could blind her. It could cost her feet. In pregnancy it could kill her. If someone I loved was diagnosed with diabetes I'd be on the diet myself to support them.
My dad has type 2 he lost so much weight he looks like a skeleton its literally eating him alive he finally decided to eat healthy after a month in the hospital due to a stroke diabetes kills its horrible when not under control
Exactly, I don't have health issues but I am obese. I recently had a baby for a couple and caught covid during the pregnancy that damaged my liver, and tried to shut down my kidneys. As a result in less than 24 hours my BP skyrocketed and I had to have emergency surgery to save both mine and the babies life. She is already starting out with obesity related health issues it's about her health more than just fertility. He's a toxic narcissistic if I ever seen one.

Let’s be honest - most, if not nearly all, marry women because of their physicality. It’s just he is more attracted to big versus small
The odds of the marriage surviving aren't good. When one partner loses a lot of weight, they gain independence. Rusty likes being in control, which is why he's so against this. My marriage lasted 4 years past my surgery. He left me for a woman who was at least 300. We been together for 27 years, 24 married. Pre-op he swore that he wouldn't leave me if I lost the weight. Look up the stats.

Nor should your love for your spouse/partner be conditional on them maintaining their looks. Because what this guy is doing is similar, given that the diabetes could eventually kill her.
@@VampFaye I had a very handsome older cousin who was very slim and 6'4 or taller. Our family prototype is "svelte". He was VERY confident in his looks and abilities to attract women. As he matured, he WOULD NOT involve himself with a woman who was LESS than 325 pounds! Some men just like fat women! It boggles my mind honestly though I have been attracted to a heavy man. I could tell that he was muscular previously and not sloppy fat. I looked at his character and how he carried himself; was he genuinely confident, heavy or not. I really don't believe Rusty lacks confidence. He just likes a big, solid woman. His wife has a great personality and confidence so Rusty has all his favorite qualities all in one package. My husband married me at my highest weight of 325 lbs. I was blessed to get pregnant right away. I had gastric bypass 2 years later.
I told my husband the #1 reason I was having the surgery was so I can be there for him for the longest time possible. We celebrated our 25th this year and we are 😊

oh, i have a question about the bypass.. my sil wants to get it & she has some health issues… is that going to affect her being able to get that surgery? i have a friend who got it 3 years ago now & she didnt do what was needed to take care of herself…. she’s getting lipo in 2 weeks now because of her not not changing her diet, eating worse than before & not working out. i tried to get her in the gym with me, because since i got my surgeries i work out now. i workout 3-4x/week to keep my shape the way my surgeon made it when i got off the table, & i refuse to go back under for another surgery… but she only went 2x with me & stopped coming, i even hired her a personal trainer & had to go to those sessions myself because she kept making excuses the first 3 times she was supposed to meet up with the trainer, & i still had to pay for those sessions in full, whether she showed up or not & i was out of the country so i couldnt go to those first 3 sessions.

When my wife and I met 9 years ago we were both almost 300 pounds. I always preferred bigger women but I love her and want her healthy and happy. Two years ago we both had bariatric surgery and are now at a healthy weight. Our relationship is even better because we can do so much more now and just feel better overall. If you love someone their health comes first.

As a former morbidly obese person (425lb to 170 lb) I can't fathom someone wanting to make their partner unhealthy. I was a walking dead person. The feeder mentality is just mind-boggling. It's makes no sense to me.

My mom died of complications from diabetes at 50 years old. Starting in her 30s she had feet infections and had toes amputated, and lived in constant pain with many, many health and organ problems from age 35 onwards. Diabetes is a killer! I hope she does whatever it takes to save her life

I have lost 100 lbs and soon will be getting the surgery and my sister and father are actually against the surgery but will support me nomatter what and my husband wants whatever will make me happy. My friend went through exactly this same thing. She was about this weight when she met her husband, wanted kids, got the band and did it all basically alone because he was so unsupportive. After the surgery she finally got the okay from the doctor to start trying and finally he confessed that he didn't want kids. Spineless POS of a man. Someone who doesn't want you to be your best self does not love you. Run Kristin, you're young and a total catch, you'll find someone who appreciates you.

As her HUSBAND he should support her and want her to do better for herself and see her do things that make her happy and are good for her
I was 435 when I met my boyfriend and I lost 260 pounds and also him ....best decision of my life..if someone is there for how you look..and not who you are..then that relationship just isn't worth it
Me and my bf both had weight issues. I was willing to go through the diet and exorcise. He wasn’t and I just noticed, the more he sat around… The more I was in willing. So I got rid of him all together. But he kept giving me excuses like… “I don’t like to sweat, maybe later.” I just got tired of it and put myself first.
I don’t like to sweat either. so I go swimming. That way I can’t tell if I’m sweating. Win win

gastric bypass surgery is incredibly dangerous. there are lot of complications & a lot of reasons someone would worry about their loved ones getting it. it’s better to just lose weight the real way, because if you just take a shortcut you aren’t actually changing any of the behaviors that made you big in the first place

I’m 5’e 280, hubby is 190 and 6’1. We have been married almost 40 years, have 3 children, 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was a world class off road cyclist with several wins. I lost weight at one point for about 3 years and he was not happy with this. He supported my weight loss but did not agree with it. I’m 65 and fluffy and happy, as is hubby.
Being 325 she doesn't need the surgery. She just have to lose the dead weight i.e her husband. And start eating healthy and excercising

So...he doesn't care that she's at risk of dying in couple years, that her dreams cannot be fulfilled, that her weight is stopping her from doing many things, that she's suffering...the only thing he seems to care about is whether he'll be still atracted to her if she looses weight. And the fact that she's made her own decision about her life, that's what made him angry. The surgery risk scare is just added thing to make him look better, and even if it is real - it's the last thing he mentioned, that really shows his priorities. He only cares about himself :(
