I don't know why? But I love documentaries so much! There's so much idea, that they can give or share. In any types of beliefs and religions.💚💚 Love this sight
It's because they take your mind away from this modern chaotic world. Look how natural, peaceful and simple other people live their lives. No Instagram, no materialism
How nostalgic it is to look at these beautiful pictures.!!! In the late 1986 I had the privilege to visit the Bajuni islands on the Somali side and spend an unforgettable day with Jibril the 'nakooda' of Koyama together with the wonderful Bajun people who will remain forever in the deepest of my heart. They were able to use an Interesting technics to catch sea crayfish. Some iron wire shaped like a couple of tennis rackets with a hose of net stitched along the round end of both the rackets. This tool was presented in front of the sea crayfish to entangle him when frightened with a spear inserted in the lair was trying to escape.
It seems strange to me, I knew that pirates had bases in Puntland in the north, given the frequency of trade routes not too far from the coast, not under the Equator and in Kenya. Unfortunately Somalia is doomed by its very important strategic location in the Horn of Africa and that wonderful land will never find peace.
When you say we take things for granted, it seem to suggest these people aspire to have your superficial superior comforts that only money can buy. Not at all. Paper money is a man made construct that has made slaves and or villains out of men.
It's all about things which our ancestors gave us, it is not in the terms of material but the knowledge , which help humans to survive from infinite years and this life can't be stopped, until we harm our mother nature, respect every creature in this universe, like people of pumba respect and gave a special place in their life to vampire fish, awesome marine life on punmba island.
Our World is so rich and amazing 😍 wonderful filming, great people, the narration voice is calming i Love the music 💖 Thank you SLICE you made my Sunday happy!
Its amazing to see how agile and athletic these people and how deep is their knowledge about the sea . The old captain is so hard working and is a treasure of knowledge. So beautiful and independent people. Pray they live happily and free.
They will if Europeans leave them alone, they're always trying to throw the bible at people and their way of life. They have destroyed so many cultures. They have robbed and stole everything that's not nailed down. Hopefully they leave these people alone.
I guarantee You waist more food in a week than these people have seen in a year. You wouldn’t be able to live in a place where they have no WiFi, your using a phone in the US complaining about the US.

That’s crazy, imagine just watching this, we get that aww. just watching this skill but imagine what other skills we haven’t seen or lost through the ages,
Actually kinda heartwarming to hear the respect some humans have of the nature around them. Having a fish placed on the peddle stool of becoming a family member just shows the respect they had for these fish.
May Almighty bless them. They are struggling but they are happy to remind their almighty. Thanks Slice channel for sharing such an amazing documentary 🤲

This is a little like fishing using cormorants from Japan and China. Probably not very efficient when compared to netting or spear fishing, but still a very interesting technique.

That is an incredible video. Thank you very much. I have seen the rows of fishing cormorants on the stern of the thai boats waiting their turn to catch their fish and bring it back to tbe boat, sometimes two birds fetching a heavy fish. The Ramoro is very different. To hold a large Ray or shark is quite a feat. I wonder do they know exactly what they are doing. In our part of the world we have a similar fish called a Lamprey but their eel shaped bodies are not toned and powerful like tbe ramoro Our Lamprey are also an endangered species with certain rivers dedicated to their survival...
