I've been crashing for many years. I'm 68 years old and I never know how to do this. Thank you so much for sharing this technique. Now my projects will be completed a lot faster.
Thank you so much. This is certainly a game changer for me, I crochet for charity, or to donate to fund raising. Currently have 7 days to produce items for a fund raising event for a lawn bowls club, with money going to the local cancer care and treatment centre where my husband is being treated. So want to produce as much as I can. Your tutorials are always clear and concise. Huge thank you.
I'm 3/4 into my first mandala and found out I missed an increase on my last round. Remembered seeing your short of this technique and found the video. It totally saved me from having to frog a whole round and a half!! 🎉 thank youuu
Thank you, I thought I had learned this stitch a couple of years ago, but I fought it the whole time. I decided I just would never use this stitch again. I stumbled on your video and tried again. ITS BEAUTIFUL AND SO EASY!! Thank you for breaking the stitches down and going slow!!
I will give this a go at some point, but need to slow the video down, and get my mind wrapped around the process. How wonderful to be able to crochet more, with less effort. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I love it! I started making a blanket with this pattern last night for a very dear friend of mine. Thank you again. 😊
I couldn’t wait to try this out, so I used it to make a napping pad/blanket for a cat friend. Used a round each of sc, hdc, crab stitch as a border, and it really looks nice.
I love this pattern but have found that when doing the 2 rows at a time if you, yo put hook through st, yo pull through then enter into next st, yo and pull through 2 loops at a time till down to 1. I am using blanket yarn and it does have a little crimping to it but this also adds to the plushiness of the blanket. Hope this is understandable 😀
Happy to help! Ironically, it's been around since the late 1800s, oftentimes shown in very old needlecraft encyclopedias, which have since been forgotten.
Thank uou for sharing this very awesome technique, Donna. I've learned a lot different techniques and beautiful projects since I started following you years ago. I appreciate that you go straight to the point! ❤ I love your nails, always very beautiful colors! Could you please tell me what color or brand they use? 😊
Thanks! My grandmother taught me this one back in the 80s. However, afterwards I saw this technique also covered in one of the old needlecraft encyclopedias dating back way before even my grandmother!
When the crochet hook is placed in the stitch below (or the next chain), anything can be done at that point, such as increases, decreases, front post, back post, back loop, front loop, etc.
@@MsSaka100I would assume you need to do the decrase at the level of the first single crochet of the stack. Basically treat the beginning like you're doing a single crochet decrease first, then stack your other three single crochets on that.
Thank you for sharing, being informative, and speeding up crochet.
You are so welcome!

Thanks for this video. Is there a way to a stackable, that is two row half double crochet?
I love these new-to-me techniques. A very cool stitch. Is it possible to do increases and decreases in this stitch, or is it for straight edges only?
When the crochet hook is placed in the stitch below (or the next chain), anything can be done at that point, such as increases, decreases, front post, back post, back loop, front loop, etc.
@@naztaziaSo I can figure out how to do increases, but decreases still elude me. Can’t get how to work two together.
@@MsSaka100I would assume you need to do the decrase at the level of the first single crochet of the stack. Basically treat the beginning like you're doing a single crochet decrease first, then stack your other three single crochets on that.
