Thanks Euge, really appreciated your view and reflections on this pedal..! And soo valuable with the comparasion of actual downtuned guitars 👍, thank you for the effort 🙏. You are my ”goto” guy, I’ve got so much inspiration from your videos 😊. All the best..!! / Henrik
If u get a kemper you can go down or up by half steps so u can take a lower tuned guitar and go even further down are tune up to whatever plus u can get rid of the back line and amps and pedals. Same with the Axe FX II and III
I know but I love the simplicity, reliability and sound of my pedals and use then live into Neunaber Iconoclast 😊👍. Here’s a video about it: ruclips.net/video/swybCSKO8y8/видео.html But thanks for the reminder!👌
Great video Euge, I use the digitech drop and think it works great for the application where you just need to play that one song live that's in a lower key. The difference in tone is negligible and most of audience would have absolutely no clue. Like you say, it works great up to about 2 whole steps then it gets a bit sketchy, especially on the cleans. Cheers!
Hey Euge, just watching this video now as I'm looking to buy one of these... That clean lick though.... I've been learning that lick after I watched the Max Guitar video of the Fender offset Tele with P90's!
Nice video! I do have a drop pedal. For me the only down side is i can ear a little octaver background sound , especially on clean sound . So it change original sound a bit for sure. But that said great pedal…
It would be interesting to hear you've tried it out with headphones on; just to know if your fingers allowed you a sound you were happier with when your ears weren't freaking out at the discrepancy between what they were hearing and what they were expecting - especially at the lower tunings. I have this pedal, and love it, but I did allow myself a giggle or two when I saw you stumble and laugh; I have the same experience every single time I decide to plug in a delay pedal 😉
Hey Euge, it doesn’t look like this question has been asked yet- would you record with the drop pedal? Have you tried to record with it at all?? Thanks man! You’re the man! 😊🤘
I love mine. Best pedal ever! My Gary holt and Phil demmel guitars sound like shit past C#. They are both tuned to E with 10-46 string gauge. When I connect my Eric Peterson Dean V (I0-52 strings tuned to E) B and A sounds brutal.
I'm using the Ehx Pitchfork and it does the trick very well. It's a very useful tool especially for live, but I won't use it further than 2 steps(2 and a half step max) below for the reason you mentioned. Did you notice any high end loss with the Digitech btw?
I use the Whammy DT where you can go octave up or down. Works well. Had the idea when I worked with ex-Megadeth Glen Drover, he used it on my songs that were downtuned halfstep when we recorded songs. Worked really well on recordings also.
Another great video Euge! I use a similar effect inside my Helix, and works really good! But when we can still listen the original tunning with the effect, is sooooooo bizarre hahahahaha just like you said! For touring, when we get flights or make some cover when we don’t have a guitar with the needed tune, it’s really really good solution...totally agree!

Thanks! Indeed 👍😎
That’s a gorgeous stars and bars guitar. I’m jealous!
😎👌

Thanks!

Oh cool!
I don’t remember what I played since it’s been quite a while when I filmed this but ok 😎🤟

Great video, I've always wondered about this pedal. I'd like to see more about it. Please let me know your thoughts after your try it live.
Thanks! I will but it might take some time ’cos of the Covid...🙄
Sometimes there's just some things that shouldn't be processed.
Thanks for the video Euge.
:-). Thanks Han!
Amazing pedal my friend!!!!
Yeah!

It hasn’t 😎. I haven’t recorded so no. Or maybe just as a ”special effect” 😊.
Thanks!
@@EugeValovirta230V thanks for the answer Euge! Have a good one!

Yeah it seems to be pretty damn good \m/!
For me sounds good :)
👌
funny i've been there , hearing both sounds . comes in handy for practice , if you are playing with different you tube songs.
😊👌

Not really or at least it didn’t bother me 😎.
Happens mostly on a very clean sound, but who uses this channel? :-P
😁👍
Hi Euge, great video, what happens if i have a guitar tuned in D standard and i want to play in E standard, is it possible to "tune it up"? Thanks😁
I don’t have the pedal ”close to me” atm but if I remember correct you can only tune down with it 😎.
Hi, Drop should be as a first stomp in the pedalboard , right?
Yeah since it needs the clean signal to work properly 👌.
Hämmentävän hyvä peli. Pitää varmaan hankkia. Sillon tällön tekee mieli soittaa Meshuggahia, mutta ei sen takia kannata 8-kielistä ostaa.
👌👍😎

Indeed 😁.
Pepita will need all those devices. He has only one guitar \m/
Correct 😊
