I find that if america and britain are in large global wars in the 1950s they tend to crap out divisions outside of their countries, whilst barely garrisoning their mainlands. I figured this out in my communist china game where it was me and the soviets plus our puppets vs western europe and the allies, and their were shit tons of divisions in SEA and europe, so i invaded california and found i was able to seize the whole west coast, and once i invaded mexico, the whole of america. Then i land in the UK and find the same.
