D. Oistrakh and J. Heifetz are articulating so clear, and they are really incredible. Especially, Heifetz did something I never heard before within this Coda. Completely brilliant!
David Oistrakh, Hilary Hahn (Who surprisingly isn't here?) and Jascha Heifetz In that order. Oistrakh is just sublime with how articulate and crisp it sounds. Hahn for how loud, clear and natural she sounds. And Heifetz for being his unparalleled virtuioso self.
The Perlman recording I prefer of this piece is the very old one with Erich Leinsdorf that is part of the big "Essential Tchaikovsky 70 Very Best" box on Apple Itunes. He takes the cuts in the last movement which used to be standard in performances.
Sobran varios faltan algunos .pero lo que si no deja lugar a dudas es que heifetz es ectraterrestre faltan como 500años para que algun violinista se le acerque en algun aspecto
Thats because hes playing a different edition of the concerto, written by his teacher leopold auer. If you listen closely you can hear oistrakh playing the same edition.
I don't think this version (from a Hollywood film?) shows Heifetz at his best. I remember the Heifetz/Reiner recording from around 1960 being much better. I also don't remember him playing those odd passages that stand out so much. I'll have to pull the record down and compare it to this.
@@Stanvansandt i dont think heifetz has ever played the original rendition of the concerto. Its always been auer, which is what he taught all his students as well. I could be wrong
I could tell it was Hadelich just from the very first bit, and I also guessed Kavakos and Vengerov right. I got all the others wrong though, I did accidentally look at my screen when Heifetz came on and Perlman was right at the start so I couldn't even guess those, would've maybe gotten them..
I've always liked Julia Fischer's approach: more clarity, accuracy, sweetness of tone. Maybe too Classical in style, but does romantic necessarily mean ferocious?
The best of the best live recording of this concerto is Perlman’s with no doubt!!! No one can say that it is not the best. If someone says, he/she doesnt understand classical music for sure
@@frankie6954 Heifetz is a genious and 1 of the bests but prime Perlman is almost unbeatable when it comes to interpretation, musicality, emotions and mimics on his face and playing style combined together. Heifetz is a bit far from emotions in general. He is more on pure technical and solid non mistakable playing style.. And most of the times too fast playing style.. so perlman recording of this concerto is unbeatable.. goodbye!..
Love Ray Chen for lots of reasons. But he would be the first to say that this isn’t his finest performance of the Tchaikovsky because of the intonation and slow speed. In fact he has done a video about it. He is so modest and fun. He is a much better player now than in the video.

I liked the Julia Fischer's, Zimmermann and Vadim Repin's interpretation
For me, my favorites are David Oistrakh, Itzhak Perlman, Gil Shaham, Julia Fischer, and Augustin Hadelich.
Heifetz, Heifetz, and only Heifetz...the BEST, the GREATEST!
I especially liked the visual aspect of Heifetz's performance.
0:00 - Itzhak Perlman

32:26 - Ivry Gitlis
34:13 - David Oistrakh
36:10 - Jascha Heifetz
:D
Wow, Igor Oistrakh was on fire here. Such an under-rated violinist, because his father was so great.
Zimmerman stands out... And his complete performance absolutely beautiful.
Ya know what Zubin said to Henryk at 15:17?
"Thanks for Szeryng"

Parlman, D. Oistrakh
Repim and Zimmerman-passion, discipline, creativity. Fabulous.
Les 3 meilleurs pour la fin...mon préféré Ivry Gitlis avec son jeu si fougueux et envoûtant ,et son violon dont le son est superbe et si bien utilisé

Every version I like. You could add quite a few more- on the English scene there were Alfredo Campoli, Alan Loveday and Maurice Hasson
Oistrakh David, Oistrakh Igor, Zimmermann
Heifetz, the last one, is pretty different than the rest
Heifezt is unique!!

Igor Oistrakh my favorite.

Only Heifetz...the violin god.
Hadelich and Milstein. We hear all the notes.
Hadelich!
Heifetz hors concours
why the milstein video has such a bad quality?
Joshua Bell?
Nah
L'ultimo potevate rallentarlo di un semitono.. XD
