there is a rumor going around that when Harper played with the Nats against the Phillies in Philly, he made the remark "someday I'm gonna play for them"
I dont know if it's true but God damn he fits in well in the philly sporting community. He gets it. He works at 100% effort at all times and is clutch beyond belief. I been watching him every game since he got here......oh he's special. Yup.

When he was 16 media was comparing him to becoming MLB’s Lebron & stuff like that which annoyed a lot of people who were tired of hearing about him so the fans & media took every chance to throw shots at him whenever he got angry with an umpire or the opposing teams & they hated when he played good & cheered when he played bad all over the place. Many people loved calling him a overrated hot headed 19 year old when he first got to play in the MLB & it’s just been a bad reputation around him but truthfully he’s always just been a stud since a young age & has an extremely strong passion for the sport, although I will admit he was very hot headed in his early years he’s really been growing & maturing

I could smell his pipe when the phillies charged the field after winning this series . No sport except baseball has that power .

Seeing his transformation from the most angry guy in the game(as I viewed him) to a guy who could apologize for reacting as he did with Snell as he's walking off in all that pain was something I never thought he do. He officially earned that 330mil with that oh so clutch 2 run bomb... but lets not forget Rhys "The Beast" Hoskins, because without those clutch bombs we couldve lost games 3 and 4, or at least one of them and were headed back to San Diego instead of clinching at home!

I have a question. Does it matter if they win the World Series with the way they've played to get here after a tough start, and barely getting in the post season? Of course it does from a going all the way perspective, but me personally I am happy with the NL pennant the way they did it even with a loss going forward. It won't diminish the heart, and what they did to get there. Now, go get that WS trophy boys!

To the players, it's a World Series title or bust. They have come too far to stop now. Don't be satisfied with just making the World Series. Believe it when I say the players will not be satisfied with just making it there. I do believe the Phillies will win it all. They are the hottest team right now. Good luck to you!

Bryce has come a long way as a player and person since his early days in Washington. He gets alot of hate stemming from those early days, and I really hope the people who hate on him see how much he's grown. He leaves everything he has out on the field, physically and emotionally. He's the true leader of this team, and the city and the organization absolutely loves him.

Reminds me of holiday n how much he loved the city. .. I remember when he left he was heart broken .. i hope Harper retires a Philly .. he definitely the best player we’ve ever had .. not greatest Philly yet but sure enough is on his way .., but definitely the most talented player we’ve ever had in my mind ..

when Phillies signed Harper i thought he seemed like a punk while in DC...I realized right away how wrong i was about this guy bc he plays the game the way that every philly fan wants their players to play...100% effort every play. Not only does he play hard but he is as clutch as they come...after watching player after player across the league sign big deals than turn into a mediocre player it is amazing to see a guy make $300 mil and that be a bargain!

Reporters ask the dumbest questions.. is this what you dreamed of as a kid.?
It's asking about when you were a kid playing basketball. "Did you pretend you were hitting the game winning 3 as time expired in the Western conference championship, i didnt wanna dream to big and pretend it was last shot of finals"
    🤦..

Well, Bryce reacted like he should have after that HR. Other guys would be all hyped. Bryce is so great, and he did this so often the past 2 years alone ...his reaction is like "This is my job, I do this all the time, let's lock down this win now" Absolutely you can tell when a real great one performs. It reminds me of the time Adrian Beltre got his 3000th hit, or when Nolan Ryan Struck out his 5000th batter. They were all like "cool, but it's our job ya know"
