I like mine well done. I own around 20 flashlights ranging from Surefire, Weltool, Streamlight, Nitecore etc. And honestly this is at the top of the list for me
This flashlight in my opinion would be perfect, except for the fact that the second button does not turn direct in low mode or in a moon mode.It is more interesting for the operator to have a low mode for various purposes than a strobe. There is a forecast of an update of it in these characteristics as a version 2,0? many customers are questioning this possibility.
This flashlight has an intelligent memory circuit which remembers the last brightness level you used. So if you want to always turn on in Low, then cycle to Low before turning the light off.
@FenixLighting I understand but when it comes to a tactical tool we always need to have a high mode available so this function should be saved on the second button.
Looks good, other than the rubber flap. I have yet to have one hold up for any period of time. At least its location looks like electrical tape can be used to secure it. At this point, I only buy models that have the screw down cover like my PD25R, or require removal of the battery to recharge like my PD35 V3.0. I generally carry one or the other on a daily basis.
This flashlight has internal waterproofing for the port, so even if you don't completely secure the rubber cover or it comes off, this light will still maintain its IP68 rating.
@@flashlightnoobI have the PD32 V2 and prefer it without the external charger port and indicator mainly for WML. Now if the TK05R came out with a version like the PD32 V2 then I would consider buying it for WML.
@FenixLightingUSA you're wrong. Nobody likes the rubber bands that cover the USB port. Its nice losing them.. 😂 I always have a spare battery ready to use. Do not disable the flashlight while it is charging. 😏
@@PhillipMoita unfortunately you're wrong. I understand and share your point of view but most people want just usb c port in every device. It's easy to forget about this when you and everybody around you is using multiple cells and external chargers. I forgot about this on regular basis too.
Your flashlights sucks !!! I have had 3 Fenix flashlights the all died after either a few days or a few month for every day use at work, at home and out in the nature.
We're sorry you have had a bad experience. We do offer a limited lifetime warranty. Did you contact our warranty and repair department to get a replacement? We pride ourselves on quality and we've never heard of someone having this bad of luck.
I call BS. I've owned Fenix stuff from the get-go. Never an issue and never a problem. Besides, the warranty was the reason I bought, in the first place. Did you even try to reach out to Fenix...sounds like you'd rather be angry. Have a good day, sir!
@@williamdecker3989 I do not give a damn about the warranty if the crap breaks anyway ! I will never buy Fenix again ! I tried 3 Fenix flashlights, yes I am very angry about Fenix !
I’ve spent close to $4000 on fenix products for me and my crew who use them “every day”and have used them in deep caves , off shore ,snow ,torrential downpours and literally ran one over on accident still worked after dropped some down embankments that were several hundred feet high had one that was underwater for 2 weeks before we were back in the same area again and when it was recovered it still worked just like the rest of them still working fine and the one problem I did have with a brand new light it was just a bad tail cap and they sent me a new light and tail cap best customer service I’ve ever had this dudes full of sh*t about them being bad lights , I wouldn’t keep buying them if they sucked lol

So glad you love this flashlight!

You need to check their new PD32R, Just bought one and love it.

Why not the single button like on the PD32 V 2.0? For a tactical light you might miss the mode button under stress.
Good suggestion, but many of our customers prefer the two switch system as well.
18350 battery? Will it work with 16340 / CR123?
16340 can be used, but CR123As cannot.
@@FenixLightingUSAhi Fenix ... What is the output if I used 16340? N does the 18350 vs 16340 hold the charge better?

Will the ALR-01 fit?
No. This light it too small.
do you guys have any free type g.a.w.'s/contests or promotions thru your marketing dept./ team there ?????? , thanks n we'll talk soon > tom !
No we do not other than a few sales that we typically have throughout the year.

Why the USB port?!? 😢
Because people like to be able to recharge their light in-body?

I’d probably seal off the usb port with epoxy putty, and charge the batteries with a charger.
Why? The port has internal waterproofing so it is totally protected.
Too big on the head for edc.
The head is larger than your typical EDC, but the overall size is small enough to easily fit in your pocket.
@FenixLightingUSA I got mine in today. I love the Matte black finish. All models need that new finish

The port itself has inner waterproofing, so the cover is just to protect the port from debris.
