5 “ragazzi” (musicisti e fan dei Beatles), Georgia, Renato, Jacopo, Claudio e Roberto alias Sugarpie & The Candymen, hanno appena finito di registrare un album interamente dedicato, con propri arrangiamenti, a brani famosi dei Beatles, tra cui “Come together”.
Il loro sogno-impossibile ora sarebbe quello di suonarli avendo come spettatori d’eccezione proprio loro, sì i Beatles (!?!). E così scatta il piano, giocato ironicamente sulla falsariga di noti film gialli: s’introducono furtivamente e fuori orario nel “Museo dei Beatles”,indossano impermeabili, con bavero alzato e occhiali da sole (per non farsi riconoscere), impugnano torce che dirigono con forsennata curiosità nello spazio buio per illuminare le pareti alla scoperta di memorabilia, foto, poster, strumenti, scritte, rarities, conservati scrupolosamente in bacheche di vetro illuminate, laici tabernacoli del magico mondo dei Beatles.
E’ quello il posto giusto per una fanta-esibizione e così sulle note di una travolgente elaborazione di “Come together” i 5 Sugarpie & The Candymen, liberatisi finalmente degli impermeabili e degli occhiali, si scatenano travolti dall’illusione che lì ad ascoltarli ci siano proprio i loro beniamini: i 4 Fab Four.
Ma la “festa” viene inaspettatamente disturbata dall’arrivo dei “custodi” del Museo che tentano d’interrompere l’esibizione, ma il finale è a doppia sorpresa.
5 "Guys" (both musicians and Beatles' fans), Georgia, Renato, Jacopo,
Claudio and Roberto aka Sugarpie & The Candymen, have just finished
recording an Album, entirely dedicated to the Beatles a collection of their
best Songs ever including 'Come Together ", adapted with their own
arrangements.
Their impossible dream would now be to play the entire Album and have as
spectators of the Beatles themselves(!?!).
And so their plan goes into action, ironically played along the lines of
well-known Thrillers movies:
They introduce themselves furtively into the 'Beatles Museum'
wearing raincoats with turned up collars and sunglasses (not to be
recognized), holding torches heading with curiosity into the dark space to
light up the walls to discover memorabilia, photos, posters, instruments,
write ups, rarities, carefully preserved in lit glass cases, tabernacles of
the magical world of the Beatles.
This is the right place for a sci-fi Show, and so to the notes of a
fantastic version of "Come together" the 5 Sugarpie & The Candymen, finally
take off their raincoats and glasses and break loose overwhelmed by the
illusion that out there in front of them their favorites Fab Four are
watching their performance !
But the "party" is unexpectedly interrupted by the arrival of the Museum
guards who try to stop the Show, but the end still holds a double surprise.
