    UPDATE. Due to the correspondence delay, they decided to offer me the 30% as a one time courtesy. ❤

      II have a question! (thanks for this ;) ) - I came back from an hour plus walk in temps right around freezing. I wear several layers (I climb a big hill for the first 20ish minutes) but my core temp drops when I get home. Here is the question - should I wait before getting in or is there benefit (thinking about the ice bath/sauna tradition in Scandinavian countries). Thanks to both of you!

      Some one else was asking about this, I suggested contacting a local well known/ well rated plastic surgeon and schedule a consultation with them and ask them these questions. Consultations are typically affordable and sometimes even free. Just be Transparent with them about why you are scheduling with them, Not for treatment or a future appointment, but for educated answers to at home led treatments. It’s really the only thing I can think of for people to get answers on light therapy. Oh also led light therapy began at NASA, perhaps NASA has more information on their national page and maybe you can even reach out to them with your concerns!

    If someone deducted from that interview that the sauna blanket might decrease your hot flashes - it is not! 😂😳 I’m doing it religiously including in the summer almost every day and I love it. But it did nothing for my weight or hot flashes ( sport and HRT is on the other hand) just be aware.
    Also I use dermalux panel at the same time and do think that it might trigger malasma, I’m sure hormons play the biggest role in it though.

    • @elettramia6380
      @elettramia6380 7 месяцев назад

      I don’t trust random led light devices. Omnilux devices have over 20 years of scientific data to back up their products, and their products do NOT produce heat making it safe for people with rosacea and possibly people with melasma. I ordered the omnilux face, chest and neck mask and got $120 off due to Black Friday, they also offer payment plans on omnilux which is exactly what I did. Sorry but I’m Not trusting random led devices. All these devices are fairly expensive, so if I’m gonna spend that much money it’s going to be on a well established device

    I love the idea of a sauna blanket, but have always been very concerned about the EMF's. I would have loved to hear her view on that subject. With the amount of electro magnetic waves that we are subjected to, no one seems to question its effects on our cells longterm. I shouldn't say 'no one' - but no one that promotes products that expose us to these waves.
    Sauna is an incredible tool for the health of our body, but I am questioning the infrared being used daily. Sauna has been around for centuries, and in its original form has been used in many countries for detoxification and immune health.
    I do love their copper brush, as the benefits of copper have also been proven. ...
    Thank you for this! But if you could possibly get an answer on the EMFs? .... Blessings

      On their site they note that the blanket is “grounded in low ELF (extremely low frequency) and low EMF” they go on a little bit about setting industry standards etc but that’s what I found about EMF. 😊

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE

      Not exactly- this is far infrared. LED is red and Near Infrared.
      The far infrared isn’t visible (like NIR) but provides heat. The heat from that light is rejuvenating. So it’s sort of similar but also very different. I’m going to ask Jessica your question and see if she can explain it better!

    Thanks for this interview and info! Couple things: I believe the reason she feels cooler in the summer (when using the IR sauna) is because the body has a natural response to try to cool itself down from the heat of the sauna. And I am wondering what research there is to back up some of her claims? I know there is probably a lot out there about saunas, but I’m wondering specifically about the detoxing claims and what that actually means in the short and long term. I can’t help but wonder if you can get too much of a “good thing” and possibly throw off some of the mineral (or other chemicals?) balance if too much “detox” is done? And while I’m sure each person is different according to their lifestyle it seems this would be important information to share. Also I wonder about the claims around their healing oil mentioned. Do they have science to back it up? Thanks so much for all your great content!

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! As far as the detox (this is from me, not her) I think it has a lot to do with lymphatics and simply sweating.
      I definitely think it can throw off our minerals etc. I drink a large glass of electrolyte water before/during/after I sauna not because anyone told me to but because that seems like common sense (that too much of this could be no good!).
      I’m working on “sauna content” and will definitely link any and all science/studies etc that I find. There is a lot out there- I’ve been weeding through it 😍
