Rest in Peace, Judy Garland. It's heartbreaking how tragic her life was, and how she was exploited by her parents from an early age. I hope that she's happier somewhere over the rainbow.
Ugh, I know! When I first heard this song, I was moved. 🥹 The first time that I watched The Greatest Showman is on Tuesday 22nd May 2018, when our college named “New Fosseway School” at the Cinema Room at Manor House Hotel. I tried my best to hold my tears… but failed! The music is absolutely beautiful. 🥹🥹🥹
Skyfall, Somewhere over the Rainbow, I Will Always Love You, See You Again, When Doves Cry and My Heart will Go On are my favourites because they make you emotional and you get legit chills from them too ❤️❤️
what's so amazing about when doves cry is that it's also a metaphor for hope for a better day when your pushing through everything but you can't get a break it's a prayer for a bright future for specifically yourself and I love it
I still amazes me that Somewhere Over the Rainbow was almost cut from the movie - supposedly because it “slowed the picture down”. What a loss that would have been for us all - - - - - - -
i find it funny that "my heart will go on" almost didnt exist considering celine didnt want to do it and james cameron didnt want to have it in the soundtrack. hats off to rene angelil for convincing celine to do the song
What an awesome trip down memory lane. Most of these movies are from the 80’s and 90’s when I grew up. It’s very cool to feel validated about your cherished memories!!
I think the most underrated song from a movie is Purple Rain. There is so much beauty in this simple song. From its slow start to its climax to its outro. The high note Prince hits at its end. Gorgeously, beautiful.
That was really great, but for me Into the West, sung by Annie Lennox at the end of Return of the King hits me harder, especially because of the ending of the movie.
As a indian comment section makes me amazed and proud at same time. Our different movie genres and ethnicity ,language movies gives great movie songs. Since start to now❤❤
I had the honour of seeing Rick Hansen pass through our town during his man in motion tour when I was 10 years old. I waved 👋 at Rick and he waved 👋 back to me
I've got some many... this must have been a hard list to make for you guys! - Tiny Dancer, in Almost Famous - Stuck In The Middle With You, in Reservoir Dogs - Where Is My Mind, in Fight Club - Bohemian Rhapsody, in Wayne's World - I Say a Little Prayer, in My Best Friend's Wedding - Atomic, in Trainspotting ... and I could easily go on for dozens of other titles.
Some songs in movies that give me chills: *Rainbow Connection* sung by Kermit the Frog in _The Muppet Movie_ - it really reflects a melancholy but hopeful mood *The Imperial March* as the entrance for Darth Vader in _The Empire Strikes Back_ - Never has a villian had more iconic or haunting entrance music *Clubbed to Death* from the woman in red scene in _The Matrix_ - although the end song by RAtM where Neo flies off is an amazing finish, this particular scene really shows how Neo is struggling with the with the weight of everything that he's been told. *Love Theme* from _Braveheart_ - I _still_ have this piece of music come up in my mind when I'm feeling melancholy
Every time I hear “Moon River”, I cry thinking of my favorite cousin who passed away in a car accident in June of 2020. I love you Cal and am always thinking of you ❤💐💐
My Heart will go on makes me cry every time I hear it and what a magnificent movie Titanic was I watched a midnight screening of it and it’s my 2nd favourite movie behind Schlindlers List and Forrest Gump 3rd and Jurassic Park 4th
Definitely My heart will go on (ever since my childhood) happy wednesday afternoon, Samantha, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
What's interesting about Audrey singing Moon River, is that the producers wanted to dub her voice (like was later done in My Fair Lady). Henry Mancini, the brilliant composer of this and many other great songs, said if they did that, he would pull the rights for the song to be in the movie. He later said that Audrey's rendition more perfectly captured what he was thinking when he composed the classic ballad than any other cover ever did.
Where the hell is the Circle of Life song from The Lion King??? -The one at the start of the movie, not the Elton John version. That one always tugs at the heart strings when I hear it.
Can you count songs performed in a musical as part of the 'book' alongside those just played as part of the sundtrack? Some question of whether you should count any song already in existence and 'revived' in a movie (How many used 'The One and Only'?), or a cover version redone in the movie. 'As Time Goes By'
Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen Can you get it??!! Wizard of Oz is 85 years old. What about movies that are over 50 years old that still catch the audience?? 😊
Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifia should have been Oscar nominated for When I See You Again. Charlie would have been the youngest ever nominee for Best Original Song until Billie Eillish for No Time To Die from the movie of the same name and for What Was I Made For from Barbie
I came here to say the same thing. I’ll Never Love Again makes me sob EVERY TIME. Gaga had just lost a dear friend to cancer when they filmed the scene in the film. So her feelings were all real and raw.

Anyone else feel that ‘Never Enough’ from the Greatest Showman should have made this list?! I mean… THOSE VOCALS! Come on MOJO!
Ugh, I know! When I first heard this song, I was moved. 🥹

Yes yes along with Tightrope and A Million Dreams for me
Skyfall is like the definition of song that would give you chills
Moon River, Don’t you forget about me, My Heart Will
Go On , somewhere over the rainbow always gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to them.❤
I swear Audrey Hepburn was an Angel! There's no other way to explain that kind of beauty! Rest in peace Angel!
Skyfall, Somewhere over the Rainbow, I Will Always Love You, See You Again, When Doves Cry and My Heart will Go On are my favourites because they make you emotional and you get legit chills from them too ❤️❤️

That Celine was able to nail "My Heart Will Go On" in ONE TAKE is no surprise to me!
Dreaming Of You From Selena and Unchained Melody from Ghost are two of my favorites👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I still amazes me that Somewhere Over the Rainbow was almost cut from the movie - supposedly because it “slowed the picture down”. What a loss that would have been for us all - - - - - - -
I Will Always Love You and Skyfall still gives me goosebumps every time I hear them
"Because You Loved Me" from Up Close and Personal always gets me
I'd add "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and "The Rainbow Connection" from The Muppet Movie.
Yes❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes to both of those!
Eye of the Tiger is more than just a song, it's motivation to keep going and to never give up
ONE TAKE? Oh my gosh! Wow! Celine Dion’s a legend ❤️
i find it funny that "my heart will go on" almost didnt exist considering celine didnt want to do it and james cameron didnt want to have it in the soundtrack. hats off to rene angelil for convincing celine to do the song

I've always loved Prince's "When Doves Cry" but in my opinion, the title track, "Purple Rain" is a masterpiece ❤ It's beautiful!
Say what you want about See You Again, but those last 10 minutes always bring me to tears and a big reason is that song.
For me too, I think about the people who have gone to heaven before me, it gets me every time.😢.
Totally agree with numbers 1 and 2.
May It Be by Enya. Unfortunately this song was only played during the credits of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
That was really great, but for me Into the West, sung by Annie Lennox at the end of Return of the King hits me harder, especially because of the ending of the movie.
All the LOTR credit songs, and even The Hobbit's Ed Sheeran - I See Fire would have been perfect for this list!
Through the eyes of love Ice Castles, The Wind Beneath My Wings Beaches, This Used To Be My Playground A League of Their Own.
“I’ve had the time of my life” from Dirty Dancing is my pick for #1
Iconic! _"Nobody puts baby in the corner"_
As a indian comment section makes me amazed and proud at same time. Our different movie genres and ethnicity ,language movies gives great movie songs. Since start to now❤❤
We don’t need another hero- Tina Turner Mad Max III deserved at least an honorable mention.
Over the Rainbow, When doves cry and Moon River are great. In your Eyes from Say Anything is another good one.
Who exactly is getting chills from these song..
I had the honour of seeing Rick Hansen pass through our town during his man in motion tour when I was 10 years old. I waved 👋 at Rick and he waved 👋 back to me
What about "As Time Goes by from Casablanca"?
Great pics! I would've added Unchained Melody (Ghost) and You Always Hurt the Ones You Love (Blue Valentine) though
I've got some many... this must have been a hard list to make for you guys!
- Tiny Dancer, in Almost Famous
- Stuck In The Middle With You, in Reservoir Dogs
- Where Is My Mind, in Fight Club
- Bohemian Rhapsody, in Wayne's World
- I Say a Little Prayer, in My Best Friend's Wedding
- Atomic, in Trainspotting
... and I could easily go on for dozens of other titles.
Great picks here, especially "Where is my mind"
"The Miracle Is You," the final song in Encanto, definitely moves me every time
You'll Be In My Heart By Phil Collins
Some songs in movies that give me chills:
*Rainbow Connection* sung by Kermit the Frog in _The Muppet Movie_ - it really reflects a melancholy but hopeful mood
*The Imperial March* as the entrance for Darth Vader in _The Empire Strikes Back_ - Never has a villian had more iconic or haunting entrance music
*Clubbed to Death* from the woman in red scene in _The Matrix_ - although the end song by RAtM where Neo flies off is an amazing finish, this particular scene really shows how Neo is struggling with the with the weight of everything that he's been told.
*Love Theme* from _Braveheart_ - I _still_ have this piece of music come up in my mind when I'm feeling melancholy
I love all these songs!
The song from a movie that gives me chills every time is "Memory" from Cats (1998).
That wasn't a movie per se. It was just a filming of the staged version.
One take? Awesome!
Every time I hear “Moon River”, I cry thinking of my favorite cousin who passed away in a car accident in June of 2020. I love you Cal and am always thinking of you ❤💐💐
Prayers to you!.
@@jaclynsanture6643 Thank you!

Too many to mention AGAINST ALL ODDS by Phil Collins TAKE MY BREATH AWAY by BERLIN. the FOOTLOOSE soundtrack and let's not forget DISNEY
No need to say goodbye from the second Narnia track is such an underrated gem
For me, Eye of the Tiger is always associated with my high school marching band. We played that song regularly all 4 years.
Audrey Hepburn may not have been able to sing in "My Fair Lady", but she proved that she COULD sing with her performance of "Moon River"!
The top 3 are incredible artists.
dont know if chills is the right word here i dont get the chills
While I wasn't particularly a fan of the movie, Speak to Me by Amy Lee from Voice From the Stone was a beautiful movie song.
My Heart will go on makes me cry every time I hear it and what a magnificent movie Titanic was I watched a midnight screening of it and it’s my 2nd favourite movie behind Schlindlers List and Forrest Gump 3rd and Jurassic Park 4th

@@JuanEnriqueFloresJr Watching a movie (like The lion king)
@@samuelcollantes1175 Cool. I've loved The Lion King too ever since I was a kid. Did you hear about what happened to James Earl Jones? RIP.

Celine is the queen 👑
behonest, John Williams music was also giving some chills in some movies.
Stand by me ben e king ???
I already knew that My Heart will go on would be number one
I’d say Olivia Nwton John Hopelessly Devoted To You from Greaee
That’s a good one too
My favourites are See You Again and Eye of the Tiger.
Who knew movie songs could be powerful
*This time* in August Rush
I think I would've added Isaac Hayes Shaft theme to the list.
What a Feeling from Flashdance was number one on Billboard the day I was born
Dolly Pardon wrote, " I will always love you."
number one should definitely be " New York New York " sung by the great Liza Minnelli from the movie "New York New York"
Dolly Parton wrote #3 too! ❤
M A D O N N A :
Crazy for you,
Live to tell,
This used to be my playground,
Ill remember,
You must love me,
Masterpiece...
IT TELLS YOU SOMETHING ?
"I'll be seeing you" from The Notebook
Shout out to Garbage’s “The World Is Not Enough” from the Bond Franchise! ❤ 8:22
"Boy For Sale", from 'Oliver', 1968
Moon River❤
I only came here for the honorable mention of 8 MILE.
8:46 plus she was like 8 months pregnant when she recorded it.
Given that Kris kicked it a couple of days ago I'm surprised Evergreen ain't here.
Where the hell is the Circle of Life song from The Lion King??? -The one at the start of the movie, not the Elton John version. That one always tugs at the heart strings when I hear it.
The Beatles forever ♾️

Some question of whether you should count any song already in existence and 'revived' in a movie (How many used 'The One and Only'?), or a cover version redone in the movie.
'As Time Goes By'
Sing Out from Harold and Maude should be on this list.
Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen
Can you get it??!! Wizard of Oz is 85 years old. What about movies that are over 50 years old that still catch the audience?? 😊
You're the best around from karate kid
I might be wrong but didn't man In motion come out before Rick Hanson did his man In motion tour?
I would add Shallow to this list.
Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifia should have been Oscar nominated for When I See You Again.
Charlie would have been the youngest ever nominee for Best Original Song until Billie Eillish for No Time To Die from the movie of the same name and for What Was I Made For from Barbie
Rest in Peace Whitney ♥️🙏🏼
I thought Debby Reynolds’s “Tammy” was gonna be here. Oh well.
What about FAME?
"Never Say Die" from Iron Eagle Die.
Shallow, I'll Never Love Again?
I came here to say the same thing. I’ll Never Love Again makes me sob EVERY TIME. Gaga had just lost a dear friend to cancer when they filmed the scene in the film. So her feelings were all real and raw.
Suddenly from Xanadu.
BITTERSWEET SIMPHONY
WHERE IS CHIM CHIM CHEREE??
Comparing Whitney Houston, who's "talent" was her ability to scream, to Judy Garland who actually had talent, is just ludicrous.
Circle of Life,
Not on the list,
Disappointed
I must be one of the 5 people who hasn't seen Titanic
Poor choices except for skyfall.
I'm gonna say it. Don't You Forget About Me is over played way too much.
