I agree, for all the songs on the Number One In Heaven album, which starts with a song about sperm and ends with a song about heaven. Along the way is this manic, frenzied run through some strange man's life. Is the man in the song one of the Maels? Well, not on one level, it seems to be from the viewpoint of some disco goer, possibly gay - two flat feet, meeting Liz (Taylor, or the Queen), no time for relationships - or at least not a conventional family man let's say. Quite possibly on drugs like speed or amyl nitrate, certainly not someone gently saving away for their retirement. Hence the frantic urgency of the song, expressing that fast-living lifestyle. But more than that, could it be a metaphor for the Maels' own musical career? How by this point as band they'd seen everything, tried everything, and were now racing to beat their competitors in the field of electronic pop music? Or is it about society as a whole, the increased pace of life due to technology and social changes? No time to be a child and stroll gently through life, rather societal expectations to do more, quicker? I love how the song could mean any of these things, or it could mean none! All the songs on N1IH have the same multiple interpretations.
