As a car tog, I one reason I would say it's not the 'one lens do it all' is that sometimes you can't zoom with your feet because of no space to do that ! as you said use the lens that is right at the time for getting your shot. Oh yep I do have a 35mm f1.4

y not use a 35mm with an e mount??

Only reason it’s EF because it’s cheaper. I find it performing identical to native E mount regarding autofocus
