But I'm assuming he's criticizing how THAT was never really touched upon in the movie, it didn't give audiences an insight into WHY Batman does kill now. You do have to remember that Tim Burton's Batman was the very first Batman to kill so carelessly in a long, long time and although I enjoy the aspect that maybe he realizes refusing to kill EVERYONE just isn't working anymore, Batman v Superman doesn't set it up well and it just seems out of character. And again, in those movies, he kills very specific people, he just mows people down in this movie and it just didn't work as well for me.
+Keith Hall Batman killing main villains? Fine. Especially since he doesn't directly cause their deaths. But Batman mowing down random henchmen? Stupid. If Batman is so fine with directly shooting up dudes, then why doesn't he use actual handguns? Ironically, the movie itself shows how effective he would be if he did. Why hasn't he killed the Joker? Zack Snyder shouldn't be a director. He should be in charge of effects and camera work, but nothing to do with story EDIT: Snyder cut was good I change my mind
+Red Yellow no he didn't, Batman never killed thousands of innocent people he killed nasty horrible killers. Superman didn't kill them either not purposely anyway. So I think your statement is invalid.
The ultimate edition is way better. Superman broke my heart in it, what he went through and in the end he said "this is my world, you're my world". I cried alot and this is coming from a guy who laughed when jack dawson died in titanic i screamed at rose to share her piece of wood xD.
+George W Kush The vast majority of reviews? That's not really true. While most reviews are indeed negative, the positive reviews are there too, just a little behind the negative ones.
I think I watched a different movie cause this movie was great. All I have to say is that people are just to critical these days. I bet if batman and superman were throwing around a lot of cheesy one-liner jokes, where no one died and everyone lived happily ever after, it would have satisfied you reviewers.
They need fast fast fast 2 year old child plot. The force awakens was no different to what Chris describe a movie that could have gone somewhere but then drops its load with bs that is so fantastical it screams fan made rather than motion picture.
Amazing how in 5 years everyone went from “Zack Snyder sucks, he’s ruining the DCEU” to “Zack Snyder’s Justice League is gonna be amazing, we love Zack Snyder”
@@christianherrero8053Reading the storyboards I gaurantee the DCEU would have been epic and absolutely destroy the Infinity saga. Also great that they didn't do the Bruice-Lois relationship.

+Lethal Cinema Central Then John Flickster would Smash in and murder everyone. P.S Is there a DC hero that is kinda like the Hulk? because that would be John
+jack90054 Not really, it's mostly just drop-dead sexy people who are heroes in the DC universe. There are, however, several different villains who are just like the Hulk. Doomsday, Mammoth, Blockbuster, Solomon Grundy, etc.
It figures. DC just can't make movies like Marvel. It already has a 37% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. DC should stick to the animated movies, where they are far superior to Marvel, in my opinion.
@@earlgrey2130 no u. Affleck portrayed an old batman who's been through hell and he did it perfectly. Also he understood the character very well as he was able to convey batman's redemption arc perfectly. His expression, tone and words went through perfect changes by the end of the movie establishing that he had become THE batman we love. Unless ofcourse we watch the trash movie called justice league
Sorry Chris, but how can I trust critics who gave: 75% for Age of Ultron. 65% Watchmen. 66% for Thor 2. 56% for Man of Steel. 82% for Sharknado. 63% from Dusk Till Dawn. Following these sites to 4 years, and really will never understand the Hatred that these critics have at Snyder. So much Hate and Persecution.
Snyder doesn't make bad films. He makes perfectly decent movies, with fantastic action and often lazy/muddled storytelling. I'd say Man of Steel is the exception, but he also had Nolan helping with the story.
Well why don't you read some of the reviews and study their concerns, I dont think people disliking his work is unjustified is they feel his work doesnt reach a reasonable standard. Anytime there is any criticism of him his fans jump to his defence and claim some imaginary and irrational hatred. I have read a good number of reviews on this film by intelligent, articulate critics, writers and fans (see Scott Mendelson of forbes) who have issues with things like incoherent plotlines bad pacing and sketchy character motivations, if Zack Synder had made a good film I believe even those who often critisise him would have been silenced but that doesnt appear to be the case.
+Joao Thomazini not gonna call you a fanboy, but you should understand that some people don't want to be disappointed so they watch reviews to make their expectations closer to what the movie's going to be.
+Joao Thomazini these people are hard to please. suddenly these youtube reviewers are the expert the we listen to. I refuse to be affected by these turds.
I feel like... there was a more efficient way of stabbing Doomsday with Kryptonite other than having the guy who has a weakness to it charge him with it....
Really ? this again look Wonder Woman was holding down doomsday and Batman was out of this league besides he's only human not like he is in the comics and plus it shows Superman is willing to give his life for humanity and that this is his world and he'll do anything to defend it watch the movie again and focus on the scene itself
He was holding the spear his weakness in his hand and his super strength is gone when kryptonite is in present and also superman makes the decision to sacrifice himself and that describes that doing the right thing is who he is
Section XP23 no, why would he be able to fly it there if he didn't have super strength? Kryptonite Doesn't JUST weaken his strength, it weakens all powers so if he had enough power to fly there, then he has enough power to pick it up for 0.2 seconds and throw it, even if he was weaker, it would still be enough and he could lessen the time he holds it and improve the piercing power if he used super speed as well to throw it. Stop trying to excuse bad writing
Use logic its not bad writing its the true and with taking a break from grabbing the spear in the water and fighting Doomsday and saving Lois used all his strength to fly out there and put doomsday down and he went down with him the last of his strength went with putting the spear thoughout Doomsday heart like Excailber
I always thought the Batman/Superman relationship was Superman was there to stop Batman from killing bad guys, because it is a point of no return, it does not allow for a mistake. Heroes are supposed to be better than us, not wish fulfillment of the killing everyone we think have wronged us.
+Kirk Tingblad on point. There is very little warmth or compassion from this superman, qualities which endeared him to millions of fans for decades. I can't get behind a character like that. Same with Batman. The Nolan movies time and again emphasized why batman had a no kill policy- to the point where he doesn't even seek personal vengeance against the guy who killed his ex-gf... Now all that is in the gutter. :(
+Kirk Tingblad Super-villains like Zod and Joker should die. Way too dangerous to let live. The only reason they don't kill villains is because they'd run out of material for future comics lol.
+SilverSaturnstudios If you ever want to see people's nuts explode with indignity, simply make the most safe, unbelievably easy to understand theory about comic book characters or Star Wars. Hell, even Trekkies will read your take on the driving force in their life and and pause for a second, thoughtfully and remark,"Yeah, I can see how you might think that."
+Kirk Tingblad since I grew up on the DCAU I always thought it was the other way around, or rather that they kept each other in check. of course I have come to realize that the version of the batman from those shows is a lot more mature (I mean mature as in responsible and well adjusted not the 13 year old's angsty emo definition of mature) and well rounded then his portrayal in the comics.
+Sebastian Muller He changed his original surname of Drumpf to Trump. Apparently because it didn't befit a man of "power" and "status". The tag #MakeDonaldDrumpfAgain has gone viral in a bid to have him change it back, to have him portrayed as the kind of man he really is.
+Rvvxdd the movie was awesome in the rightful meaning. i loved it too. there were maybe some things i didn't quite understand thought. Like when the nuke exploded in space, superman was dried out like an old man. Why? superman is immune to everything except kryptonite. i also wanted so more superman's power display: more power punches, cold breath, super wind blowing, maybe a super flying power punch that would explode with a gigantic kinetic energy. oh and maybe yeah batman killing thugs was somehow strange, but i also love the idea of a more realistic batman who is ready to make the ultimate decisions to stop evil.
I saw this guy saying the exact same thing on Jeremyjahn's review. He's just another DC fanboy panicking that the movie is actually bad so he's rushing in to defend it with his blood.
he was good, but when I think of Luthor, i imagine this 6'4"ish guy who always wears expensive suits and is more menacing and serious the whole time but the actor made him seem like this insecure fidgety guy and i couldn't see him as a menacing character in the film
I'm honestly not sure if it's entirely his fault, I mean, I didn't like the character that much for the same reasons Chris states, but I'm wondering how much of that is on the script/character rather than the actor itself.
youre right - that stupid director probably had something to do with destroying the character.. or the studio... ding ding ding ding... fuck!!! and the dream sequences were awful and slow moving sequences.... desperate ideas..
+sail Do not believe the reviews c'mon. He just overviewed the review BY comparing it to comics. I've seen the movie and i fucking assure you it's an EPIC movie. The ending the starting the introductions the dialogues , everything is 10/10. This review got me like "Chris did you really watch the right movie?"
+Anirudh Menon I just don't get it how can people let Marvel movies pass by without complaining but comes DC with the "same" mistakes and the movie sucks, for me Chris is really bias! Not that the movie is amazing, but neither most of Marvel movies and he do loves them! =/

Personal thoughts. Marvel: More well-written heroes and villains than DC. DC: The well-written heroes, villains, and other characters they have are so well-written they're freaking awesome (heck, my personal favorite comic book characters - which includes movie, TV, and game renditions thereof - are from the DC universe). Marvel: Lighter tone allows for more humor and fun, which when done well keeps the audience smiling and laughing while still keeping them engaged (when done poorly just feels silly and immature). DC: Darker, grittier tone makes the stakes feel higher and the conflict more engaging, which when done well makes for a more compelling story (when done poorly is just depressing). Marvel: Really annoying fanboys. DC: Ditto. Conclusion: Both have their pros and cons, but at the end of the day both are awesome (which is more than I can say for the people who try to hold up one and devalue the other).
+Russia Putin Those are prettymuch joke ratings, they appear in movies in the ''So Bad they're Good'' cathegory such as Cool Cat and Birdemic. For the real reviews check the professional critics section.
colton moores its actually biased reviews, ive seen the movie myself it right around 8/10. Would be higher if they handled Superman a bit better early on in the movie. ive read about 40 reviews tday and they are absolutely about nothing. What they have written is bunch biased reviews from random people that are clearly hating and bring on couple of flaws like destruction metropolis and crap like that.
People who justify Batman's killing by saying he's older and doesn't care anymore or that Robin's death affected him are forgetting one fundamental characteristic of Batman. His will power. In the comics and other media, Batman goes through so much shit and is very close to crossing that line but he doesn't due to his immense power of will. This Batman does not have that will power. EDIT: Don't reply to me saying he killed before. If you click on view replies, you can see multiple people replying to me with the exact same shit thinking they're being original. If you are gonna reply to me to say he killed before, look at the replies to this comment for my counter argument.
+KeshK123 please read the dark knight returns comics. that comic was an inspiration for this movie. in that comic batman kinda looses his cool like in the movie. I think the fact that a hero like batman could resort to killing just proves that he is human after all and humans have limits and flaws............in dark knight returns *SPOILERS* batman snaps off jokers neck and kills him after breaking down...... and the joker is like "i broke you.... i win!!"....this is what i think is happening here..... batman is out of his mind and in the coming movies i think he will try to recover from it............
+Kunal Chaturvedi I've read the dark knight returns and I'm afraid you have it wrong. Batman snapped the Joker's neck but with restrained pressure to avoid killing him. Joker even mentions the Batman didn't have the nerve to completely finish him off so Joker then kills himself by twisting his neck even further. The whole point of that scene shows that Batman won't kill even though he comes very close to it. His conviction to his code is what makes him a larger than life character and truly a legend. Anyone else would break easily with what Bruce Wayne goes through but his iron will and determination prevents him from breaking.
KeshK123 i think zack snyder is trying to present us a team of flawed superheroes who will have to re-discover themselves or try to fix their ways in light of a common larger than them enemy (darkseid perhaps) like the way batman decided not to kill superman after realising the fact that if he did then he would be no more than the man who killed hi mother for superman and this was what alfred was trying to make him realise too. also to add to this i kind of feel like some injustice and flashpoint paradox things are about to happen so it might be that after all that batman realises that he has to get his shit together and so do the others.
+The Bible Reloaded Nah, BvS did well in setting up the Justice League world and thats the main problem with this movie. Like what Stuckmann said, BvS tried way too hard in setting up the JL world to the point where it felt like you're watching 2 incomplete movies.
+1945joshuaruiz What? Are you talking about Mark Hamill?? Are you telling one of the most experienced veteran & unforgettable Joker voice not to come back?? Where would you & your Joker be without him??
Logan Campbell it almost felt like one of the fights you would see on a Syfy movie, like Dinocroc vs Supergator or MegaShark vs Giant Octopus, only because of how short it was
for people complaining that 'Martha' was a safe-word, when Superman is screaming for Bruce to save his mother, Bruce snaps back and realizes that Superman is just like him. He's not an alien anymore. He's a kid from Kansas that is literally minutes away from losing his last surviving parent, who just happens to have the same name as Bruce's mother. When he tells Superman that he's going to save Martha, he promises that "she won't die tonight". This is Bruce's moment of redemption. He couldn't save his mother. But he's gonna save Clark's no matter what.
@@MrsNiaboo2000 nah that action choreography and the way it was shot was very impressive. You can even feel the impact of every punche he gives. Although I am a bigger Marvel fan my favourite movie being endgame, winter Soldier also had great action choreography but the scenes were shot with quick cuts that you don't even feel impact of it. Elevator scene cinematography was great though.
There is a scene in the movie where Alfred says that feeling powerless turns good men cruel which he kind of is talking about Batman’s fall and batman also says how the batman was a beautiful lie which means he does not believe in the morals of batman anymore
@@pointbreak125 wtf are you talking about batman is not always “incorruptible good” if he was then he would be boring. While I don’t really like bvs I like the ideas it sets up about batman. He’s been batman for 20 years and lost a lot of friends like robin because of his actions. He’s lost faith in himself at the beginning of the film and is losing his morals and why he became batman in the first place and at the end of the film he starts to redeem himself and become the batman he was always meant to be this journey is completed in the Snyder cut
1989's Batman was blowing people away and throwing them down buildings, and no one bats an eye. BvS's Batman shoots a car and everybody loses their mind.
I honestly really liked the fact that this Batman was willing to kill people. It makes him much more intimidating than he has ever been. Accurate or not, I like it.
+Sauron Merciful apparently Ben Affleck is directing a batman reboot at some point in the future- which is good news since he can actually direct! there is still hope! (tho i reckon suicide squad will only be only slightly better than batman v superman seeing as david ayer isnt exactly an auteur either)
it has pretty much the same flaw as age of ultron. no marvel r perfect. in my opinion most mcu movie r average popcorn movie. hopefully civil war will change that. hopefully its not a shoehorn like age of ultron. we have to wait n see. superhero movies r trying too hard to become bigger n bigger. both mcu n starting dccu.
Rob Steenson I watched both the theatrical cuts, and really, it adds to the story. It adds more motivation, more behind-the-scenes happenings, and it’s pace is far better than the theatrical. Now, if you hated the Martha moment and Batman killing and Doomsday, they’re still there. But the Ultimate Edition for BvS is better. Theatrical Cut is a 4/10 and Ultimate is a 7 - 8/10.
What I love about the BvS Ultimate Edition, Is that there is a scene before Batman goes on the Killing spree that really makes up for that scene in my opinion. In this version the movie knows that Batman is going way too far in that scene by adding a short but fantastic scene before it where Alfred knows that Bruce is going over is head and is desperately trying to tell Bruce that and to snap out of it. A true homage to one of the comics and a very important scene in my opinion.
+Jake Tibbs yup, I've been saying he's overrated for years, he makes one good movie in 300, so that excuses him from every other terrible movie he's made?
+Jake Tibbs Just remember that this guy who made this disaster of a movie has outlined the entire dc slate and the arrogant prick has the nerve to name it the Snyderverse.I just threw up in my mouth.Because when you need to intelligently connect 20 movies together you hire a guy whose movies plots have more wholes than Spongebob...
This movie was so awful, the WHOLE thing felt forced to me. Nothing flowed, there were almost no redeeming qualities to the film. The only good part was Affleck's performance. I think that people who love the movie are just so excited to see Batman and Superman in a movie together, JMO.
+Detective Comics Fiend not quite, this tries to be so serious and yes succeeds now and then. Schumacher's Batman was just plain dumb that it didn't take itself seriously :D
+Detective Comics Fiend lmfao not even close, bvs could be better film but compare it to batman forever and batman and robin it is masterpiece, you said dumb shit right now lol
There was that scene where Alfred says "everything's changed" after Bruce says "we've always been criminals". Then it shows the robin suit. I took away pretty clearly that batman has lost a lot of friends and just doesn't give a fuck anymore.
He did give hints to his moral dilemma change Chris... When talking with Clark "Maybe we just have a bad history with freaks dressed as clowns..." When he was talking with Alfred... He said something like... "20 years in Gotham Alfred... You know and I know people don't change..." He is a Batman that has been through it all... 20 years of seeing the worst human beings possible, even you would have change of conscious, if what you were doing before didn't work... He is damaged, less trusting, he has lost almost everyone important to him..
I totally agree with you. I think the audience was asked to fill in a lot of blanks in this movie and Batman's moral code was one of them. I personally really enjoyed the movie and hope that the DC universe is successful.
Everyone was questioning whether Ben Affleck would be believable as Batman when they really should have been worried whether Zack Snyder is believable as a director.
I think people hate it just for hate it and i think some hate it and didn't see the movie at all. Marvel is not the one who invented the way to do superhero. ( Seriously, do you think, depression, stupid joke and good guys always win, good end is always ) I like BvS because it's different and not a cliché movie like Avengers.
I also think there is some psychological affects from his time as Batman and the arrival of Superman. 'Makes good men cruel', criminals being like weeds, etc. There is also the practicality of being Batman that doesn't kill in the DCCU world.
Bruce is old and has become angry from all the friends he lost (robin is dead as seen with his armor ) And all his employees as seen in the first 15 minutes of the film. Also the human traffickers would lead Bruce to not give a fuck anymore Ben affleck was the best thing about the film
All the criticisms were completely valid but all that aside I loved this movie. The visuals, the music, and the action did it for me. This movie had me tearing up a certain points as well as gave me goosebumps when the big 3 were taking on doomsday together. Would watch in theaters again!!
+Chris Oakland They recycled the music from man of steel a lot. At first I thought it was cool but then it got tedious and disappointing :/ I won't watch it again unless it's on tv but I'm glad they made the movie anyway
Here's what I don't get about the fanboys in the comments, Why are you guys being so hostile at Chris? Shouldn't you be more upset at the studio because you got a bad BvS movie?
Nah. They're still in the denial phase. It's easier to blame Chris for a shit opinion. If they blamed the studio, they'd have to admit that it's a bad movie, which is something they can't do. For some reason.
@@julian-p Because he only started killing when mos happened. And plus he didn't go around just killing it was more of a didn't care if they lived or not or reciprocating the exact amount of force the criminals give him. Any real batman fan would know held back most of the time BVs bats did not he didn't care anymore
+Ruben Romero I'm not exactly a Marvel fanboy. It is true that I prefer Marvel, but there are DC properties I love too. I like the first two Superman movies with Christopher Reeve, the Dark Knight Trilogy, and Tim Burton's two Batman films, but the quality of this film was just horrible.
+kanigiri hemchand I don't know, I really didn't get that idea from the scene. I mean, there's no way he could go head to head with Doomsday like Superman could, but he didn't run away either. He looked more like a boxer who knew how to dodge his opponent's punches and stay just out of reach while jumping in when he could and punching back.
@@zhengyingli as it is it feels like a compilation of trailers and odd scenes all duck-taped together. It was a waste of a good plot (explored in comics perfectly) and great casting and performances from Cavill and Affleck. Suicide Squad is a bad movie, but BvS doesn't even qualify.
I think Jesse Eisenberg could have pulled off being a decent Riddler or maybe even the Joker. But I believe he was awfully miscast for playing Lex Luther.
+Jeff Cares I feel like he was a wannabe Joker. The character in the movie may have been named Lex Luther, but it definitely felt like a mediocre Joker.
SO basically is an imperfect pretty looking movie but no where near the cluster that Fantasic 4 was? Okay as a DC guy I can accept that, is just the early RT rating made it sound like is worst than it really is.
I don't think someone could intentionally make a movie as bad as Fant4stic. You'd have to try really hard. That movie was worse than picking cactus needles out of your ass.
Did the fanboys crying over the reviews ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, these aren’t good movies that Zack Snyder is putting out? Man of Steel had better reviews. Because at least that movie had a clear focus: Superman and his development. This movie had question marks from the start with regards to that. Is it a Batman movie? Yes. Is it a Superman sequel? Yes. Is it a Justice League set-up? Yes. Throw in multiple other key characters. This movie would’ve had to be 4 hours to do it correctly. The time they took to make the movie matters little. It just so turns out, that at least some of the question marks going in reared their ugly heads in the end. Jeremy Jahns, a huge Batman and Superman fan, gave it a poor grade. Metacritic gave it a 46. Rotten tomatoes (which btw is just a consensus approval % from critics ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND WORLD, not just RT hired dogs), has it at 40% approval. WB owns Rotten Tomatoes, what is there to gain from them bashing it? Just wake up to reality: they were going about this wrong, it didn’t work out, and it could be much, much better.
+Yeshu'a Emanuel Braz HAHAHA wow.. what the fuck were they thinking... Brooooo Your moms name is MARTH my fucking moms name is martha too.. shit son add me on facebook....
Well, you forgot Tim Burton’s version didn’t have very high standards of morality. He was more an assassin who didn’t care about casualties, which explained why the police didn’t like him much. Nolan gave us back the real Batman concept of hating criminals so much that he would rather die before becoming one of them.

Batpunisher and Lex Riddler in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice...
Batpunisher sounds fucking badass
LOL
spoilers at the end of the movie batman and superman team up together
+Kim Mount They already spoiled that in one of the trailers.
I saw it though
This movie was like a really good batman movie trapped inside a mediocre superman movie
Haha that's the most accurate thing in this comment section
Yes
*really good batman movie trapped inside of an awful Superman movie and an awful Justice League setup movie
That's because it WAS a Batman movie with Superman in it. If you didn't realize that Superman was not the protagonist, you were not paying attention.
The ultimate edition is way better. Superman broke my heart in it, what he went through and in the end he said "this is my world, you're my world". I cried alot and this is coming from a guy who laughed when jack dawson died in titanic i screamed at rose to share her piece of wood xD.
How to make a Chris Stuckmann thumbnail:
1) Open Mouth
2) include characters or an official poster
3) ....uhhh... have good facial hair?
Haha
and pearly white teeth
No that's ERB

lol the vast majority of reviews are butchering this film, fucking called it
+George W Kush It may just have something to do with this movie sucking, but let's not jump to conclusions, shall we?
Ecthudan lmao
+George W Kush The vast majority of reviews? That's not really true. While most reviews are indeed negative, the positive reviews are there too, just a little behind the negative ones.
+Kenshin X George W Kush is just trolling
Me too
I think I watched a different movie cause this movie was great.
All I have to say is that people are just to critical these days. I bet if batman and superman were throwing around a lot of cheesy one-liner jokes, where no one died and everyone lived happily ever after, it would have satisfied you reviewers.
+uttblackboard well said!
amen
+uttblackboard you're an idiot
+Sotanath86q If you think someone is a idiot, it's best not to mention it. What good can you bring about by mentioning it?
They need fast fast fast 2 year old child plot. The force awakens was no different to what Chris describe a movie that could have gone somewhere but then drops its load with bs that is so fantastical it screams fan made rather than motion picture.
Amazing how in 5 years everyone went from “Zack Snyder sucks, he’s ruining the DCEU” to “Zack Snyder’s Justice League is gonna be amazing, we love Zack Snyder”
He improve from his mistakes and that's why (:

I thought I was the only one that felt that way too! Lol
I agree.

I'm waiting for Chris stuckman vs Jeremy jahns movie. I hear angry joe makes a cameo

+jack90054 I was thinking doomsday tbh
It figures. DC just can't make movies like Marvel. It already has a 37% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. DC should stick to the animated movies, where they are far superior to Marvel, in my opinion.

Ben Affleck did do a good job of portraying Batman
Insane*
Get outta here lol
@@earlgrey2130 no u.
Affleck portrayed an old batman who's been through hell and he did it perfectly. Also he understood the character very well as he was able to convey batman's redemption arc perfectly. His expression, tone and words went through perfect changes by the end of the movie establishing that he had become THE batman we love. Unless ofcourse we watch the trash movie called justice league
Yup
@@DivvayKhatri nah he sucks ass

Ummmmm, Watchmen?
Watchmen is the only exception. It's not a GREAT movie but it is most certainly his best.
+TWBMilkshakes watchmen is the only snyder movie with great movie
+Malcolm Alden I hate Hack Snyder, but Dawn of the Dead was good.
Sorry Chris, but how can I trust critics who gave:
75% for Age of Ultron.
+Shawn Júnior Why'd you bother watching his review, if you don;t trust critics?
+Shawn Júnior This is rotten tomatoes right?
It's not "persecution", he just makes shit movies. Sorry to break it to you

+Joao Thomazini WOW CAPS LOCK IS SO USEFUL
+Joao Thomazini not gonna call you a fanboy, but you should understand that some people don't want to be disappointed so they watch reviews to make their expectations closer to what the movie's going to be.
+Joao Thomazini these people are hard to please. suddenly these youtube reviewers are the expert the we listen to. I refuse to be affected by these turds.
I'd rather like to see if a movie is shit before I go see it.
There is a scene where Alfred says he's going too far.
Whi te
Like he missed a turn?
Alfred clearly said when men feel powerless good men become cruel!
Batman also mentions that his necessary lethal force was because most "good" people betrayed him and how they turned bad.
Section XP23 uhhh, yeah... So can't Superman... If he has enough power to fly it there... Just throw it with super strength?
+SilverSaturnstudios well batman does kill the joker eventually
+Kirk Tingblad since I grew up on the DCAU I always thought it was the other way around, or rather that they kept each other in check. of course I have come to realize that the version of the batman from those shows is a lot more mature (I mean mature as in responsible and well adjusted not the 13 year old's angsty emo definition of mature) and well rounded then his portrayal in the comics.
Batman wasn't a bad ass, he was a "Bat ass"

+Rvvxdd exactly what im doing tomorrow, it can't be 31% bad. I actually liked MoS so this will likely be a treat for me
+Rvvxdd the movie was awesome in the rightful meaning. i loved it too. there were maybe some things i didn't quite understand thought.

+Hrvo182 Fanboy are fucking idiots; no, not DC fanboys, fanboys in general
Tomas Canevaro Watch Chris' reviews on SW, Marvel, DC and other comic book movies, the comments below the videos will further strengthen your point.
Very good analyst I love both DC and Marvel
+Eric Naylor I agree with that guy ^ .... well sort of ;)

FATFLECK THE WORSE BATMAN WITH ADAM WEST
People who justify Batman's killing by saying he's older and doesn't care anymore or that Robin's death affected him are forgetting one fundamental characteristic of Batman. His will power. In the comics and other media, Batman goes through so much shit and is very close to crossing that line but he doesn't due to his immense power of will. This Batman does not have that will power.
EDIT: Don't reply to me saying he killed before. If you click on view replies, you can see multiple people replying to me with the exact same shit thinking they're being original. If you are gonna reply to me to say he killed before, look at the replies to this comment for my counter argument.
Exactly
KeshK123 i think zack snyder is trying to present us a team of flawed superheroes who will have to re-discover themselves or try to fix their ways in light of a common larger than them enemy (darkseid perhaps) like the way batman decided not to kill superman after realising the fact that if he did then he would be no more than the man who killed hi mother for superman and this was what alfred was trying to make him realise too. also to add to this i kind of feel like some injustice and flashpoint paradox things are about to happen so it might be that after all that batman realises that he has to get his shit together and so do the others.
and ya now that u mention it , i think i remembered it wrong :p . but why not consider that possibility for a new take on batman
The only opinion that counts right here....

It's was just a guess but I know it was short.

Ben's Batman...saving Martha scene was the best Batman fight to be put on film

Elevator scene cinematography was great though.
Nia R. Best fight scene ever. Don’t even try to bring up Captain America, Daredevil, or Arrow fights because I will laugh
Nathan Cady Great fight scene but shithole of a movie, so it’s tainted. I’d rather have a good movie than a shitty one with good choreography
There is a scene in the movie where Alfred says that feeling powerless turns good men cruel which he kind of is talking about Batman’s fall and batman also says how the batman was a beautiful lie which means he does not believe in the morals of batman anymore
Then why is he batman? He's the incorruptible good. Snyder's version of Batman sucks.

+Steven Borley Haaaaa.... you just dont want to admit the movie wasnt very good.
The directors cut aka the ultimate edition is a far superior film
I haven't seen it. Is it really that much different?
Rob Steenson I watched both the theatrical cuts, and really, it adds to the story. It adds more motivation, more behind-the-scenes happenings, and it’s pace is far better than the theatrical. Now, if you hated the Martha moment and Batman killing and Doomsday, they’re still there. But the Ultimate Edition for BvS is better. Theatrical Cut is a 4/10 and Ultimate is a 7 - 8/10.
Rob Steenson yeah a lot. The story is much more drawn out and understandable. That cut is what made me like the movie
Deadpool > BvS
Once again Marvel beats DC!!!
+Klein Fletchers Except for animated movies and video games
+Klein Fletchers nope deadpool is fox.
+AAA still a marvel character
+Klein Fletchers That's Actually Fox. Lol. but yea.
+AAA It's still a Marvel character...
Martha
HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shut the fuck up
😂😂😂
*save martha*
MARTHA INTENSIFIES!
Another cretin that obviously did not understand the scene.
#Save Martha!
OMG, the hatred of this line was strong with some fans.
I just realized that being stuckmanized is actually a thing... all I want to do is watch Chris Stuckman videos now lol
This movie gets you excited for Captain America: Civil War.
Thats how mediocre this movie was
Zack Snyder is the problem. He's a hack and doesn't deserve such high-profile work.
Yup! And like I have been saying for a while now; if WB doesn't remove him from directing the Justice League film, then they don't care anymore.
***** just wait, after justice league bombs they'll stop. then reboot it with a good director next time hopefully.
***** that's what they're trying to do, copy marvel. but they got zack snyder to do it for some reason.
This movie was so awful, the WHOLE thing felt forced to me. Nothing flowed, there were almost no redeeming qualities to the film. The only good part was Affleck's performance. I think that people who love the movie are just so excited to see Batman and Superman in a movie together, JMO.
+CaptainPhil96 I would say theater, mostly for how the action looks.
Man of Steal - C
Batman v Superman - C-
Suicide Squad - D
Wonder Woman - A-
Justice League - D+
Aquaman - B
Shazam - A
Did Zack Snyder just pull a Joel Schumacher?
yep
+Detective Comics Fiend not quite, this tries to be so serious and yes succeeds now and then. Schumacher's Batman was just plain dumb that it didn't take itself seriously :D
not even close
+Detective Comics Fiend no. he just gave batman a unique character arc. The batman we all know will be back don't you worry your pwetty widdle head.
When an animated BvS movie is better then the live action one.....
+Pls Stop leafy fan
They should’ve casted someone like Mark Strong for Lex Luthor
facts, I literally said that to myself during the movie.
He did give hints to his moral dilemma change Chris...
When talking with Clark
"Maybe we just have a bad history with freaks dressed as clowns..."
When he was talking with Alfred... He said something like...
"20 years in Gotham Alfred... You know and I know people don't change..."
He is a Batman that has been through it all...
+Tal Moore After MOS I thought they would learn and not use him again....argh!
+Mark Reed now we have to bear with him through Justice League :/
This movie was fucking terrible.
youre mistaken
+Bruce #HankBlock Nope. Most disappointing film since phantom menace
+Bruce #HankBlock about a great many things
I think people hate it just for hate it and i think some hate it and didn't see the movie at all. Marvel is not the one who invented the way to do superhero.
( Seriously, do you think, depression, stupid joke and good guys always win, good end is always )
I like BvS because it's different and not a cliché movie like Avengers.
*superhero movie.
*always good movie ?
They DID hint that Batman is on the verge of losing it. Alfred DID talk to him about it.
nothing wrong with batman killing. he's older. doesn't care anymore.
he's not the dark knight he's a vigilante now
Agreed. Teaching the young thugs a lesson in respect ;)
what kind of an excuse is that?
I also think there is some psychological affects from his time as Batman and the arrival of Superman. 'Makes good men cruel', criminals being like weeds, etc. There is also the practicality of being Batman that doesn't kill in the DCCU world.
Problem is the movie never explains or conveys this or any other reason batman would kill, it's clearly failed in that department.
Bruce is old and has become angry from all the friends he lost (robin is dead as seen with his armor )
And all his employees as seen in the first 15 minutes of the film.
Also the human traffickers would lead Bruce to not give a fuck anymore
Ben affleck was the best thing about the film
All the criticisms were completely valid but all that aside I loved this movie. The visuals, the music, and the action did it for me. This movie had me tearing up a certain points as well as gave me goosebumps when the big 3 were taking on doomsday together. Would watch in theaters again!!
I'm not a fan of this movie, but I love your take on it.
+Chris Oakland They recycled the music from man of steel a lot. At first I thought it was cool but then it got tedious and disappointing :/ I won't watch it again unless it's on tv but I'm glad they made the movie anyway
+Chris Oakland
I didn't even cry one bit.
However I did shred a tear on the Batman Nolan films
+Chris Oakland i would watch it again, but then i have to suffer by watching all the sleepy slow parts until i see batman and superman fight
Here's what I don't get about the fanboys in the comments,
Why are you guys being so hostile at Chris? Shouldn't you be more upset at the studio because you got a bad BvS movie?
+Brock Butler I see more hostile Marvel fanboys then DC
Nah. They're still in the denial phase. It's easier to blame Chris for a shit opinion. If they blamed the studio, they'd have to admit that it's a bad movie, which is something they can't do. For some reason.
spade2187 Welcome to the second phase: anger.
So Batman is ok with killing tons of innocent civilians but has a problem with Superman killing a few people including a couple of Batman's friends?
Batman only started killing because of what happened in MOS my man listen to Alfred
@@igbotimehopper64yearsago46 if he decided to kill, then why the joker still alive in suicide squad? his reason to kill isnt right
@@julian-p Because he only started killing when mos happened. And plus he didn't go around just killing it was more of a didn't care if they lived or not or reciprocating the exact amount of force the criminals give him. Any real batman fan would know held back most of the time BVs bats did not he didn't care anymore
@@julian-p the ss is arrested before mos
What a fukin joke of a movie. I just got home from seeing it and i'm shocked.....
RIP DC within the cinematic contest
+Aiden L Thank you, sir. I hated this myself. The DC Cinematic Universe deserves an early death. I actually cursed the DCCU in my review on IMDB.
Sorry, but I don't give a damn. I saw this, hated it, and I will not change my view, thank you very much.
+peegeman he's a marvel fanboy.
Ruben Romero i hope you can see the irony within this statement.
*Watching Batman trying to fight Doomsday was the most hilarious scene I've ever watched Batman in.*
yes, he was running away from doomsday lol
+SteelRazorBlade // AdamSRB he has never used his batclaw so fast to get out the way lmao
+grayfoxfive May be but lot of people smiled in the theatre during that scene which gave me this thought
What would you have done if you were batman. Funny right yeah very funny. Run bitch run.
TELL THAT TO ZOD'S SNAPPED NECK!!!
LMAO.
+Ariedne Hutter I like Chris Stuckmann's reviews, but that script was not good.
+Ariedne Hutter I don't get the joke...
+Ariedne Hutter Well fuck you too.
+Neonite ネオン comment winner : top in class , you sir are a skilled madman :)
BvS is just not a movie, it's just a bunch of trailers
What do you mean?
+Jeff White Yeah, maybe he played Lex Luther. Unfortunately, the one he should have played was Lex Luthor.
+Jeff White I feel the same way.
SO basically is an imperfect pretty looking movie but no where near the cluster that Fantasic 4 was? Okay as a DC guy I can accept that, is just the early RT rating made it sound like is worst than it really is.
Oops
+Michael Osei Does it really matter? All the fantastic four movies are awful
+Super Rabbit Damage control
I don't think someone could intentionally make a movie as bad as Fant4stic. You'd have to try really hard. That movie was worse than picking cactus needles out of your ass.
+Super Rabbit Well, he gave this movie C+. So it will be count as Rotten review on RT.
The number of fanboys Phantom Menacing in the comments IS OVER 9,000!
9000! There's no way that can be right!
Why does Chris always look like he’s just been adopted in his thumbnails
Lol
Its the soylent
Zack Snyder ladies and gentlemen, the 12-year-old trapped in a man's body who also somehow gets millions of dollars to play with.
People hate what they don't understand - Martha Kent
:)
+Hassan Khan MARTHA?! WHY ARE YOU SAYING THAT NAME?!!!??!!! WHY?!?!?!!!!
+Yeshu'a Emanuel Braz 😂 haha
Yeshu'a Emanuel Braz ^_^
+Yeshu'a Emanuel Braz HAHAHA wow.. what the fuck were they thinking... Brooooo Your moms name is MARTH my fucking moms name is martha too.. shit son add me on facebook....
Well, you forgot Tim Burton’s version didn’t have very high standards of morality. He was more an assassin who didn’t care about casualties, which explained why the police didn’t like him much. Nolan gave us back the real Batman concept of hating criminals so much that he would rather die before becoming one of them.
