    Pretty handy! And 40Amps fully utilizes the NEMA 14-50 outlet 🎉

      Thanks for watching! Yeah I like this option. Decent price and good power if you don’t already have a NACS mobile connector

    Very cool! Thanks for demoing this. How many more miles per hour of charge is 40a vs 32a?

      @chargepozitive  28 дней назад

      240V x 32Amps = ~7.7kW which is about 26 mi/h of charge
      240V x 40Amps = ~9.6kW which gives 33 mi/h of charge
      (all depending on your ACTUAL driving habits/efficiency)
      My lifetime efficiency is a little higher around 3.66mi/kWh
      So IF your car can charge at 40 Amps (standard range Model 3/Y only do 32A) the extra 8 amps gives you quite a bit more per hour. BUT if you don't drive very much this doesn't matter much with OVERNIGHT charging but it does help out if you pop home for a couple hours to charge midday etc. Also NEMA 14-50 are widely available at many campgrounds throughout North America.

    but i can only take 32 amps : (

      Yeah standard range only does 32. Long range does 48 amps but would need a larger circuit than the NEMA 14-50. This is about the same price as other 32 amp chargers and can be pretty versatile for a regular cord
