I own a 2020 chevrolet 2500HD LTZ Z71. I love it. Th first time I floor the pedal going into the freeway from the ramp. I almost lost control...no traction. Big difference from my 2018 Denali 1500.

It’s very progressive of GM to hire a blind designer for their new Silverado. If only the rest of us didn’t have to see it either.

I love the look, interior does what it needs too...Ford no way I would ever buy....looked at the ram but it looks horrible with front end....interior has to be sufficient not awe inspiring...capability, reliability and resale....the new Silverado killed it in looks dept and whoever is making the payments is only one that matters....I almost bought RAM but couldn't deal with the exterior....also the bed is big deal for me and Chevy beats all in volume and layout...the RAMs bed looked like shortbox....super shallow...... RAM would have been cheaper as well. But couldn't do it.....more torque in Chevy gas as well
I agree I don't know what the world ceremony was thinking about what they put this "design" to their heavy duty trucks. By far the ugliest Chevrolet truck ever put out.

Automakers are flat out gouging people on these things.
But you can't blame them if people are dumb enough to pay these insane prices.
Diesel engine and transmission 10k plus right there. 4x2 vs 4x4 few grand more. Single cab vs double or crew cab. My 2018 HD ltz trim was 72k had everything on it, and I bought it for 58k with 4 recalls already and counting. Go GM! 😏🙄😒😒😊

There is no way that the difference in models is anywhere remotely near $37,000 in cost to GM.
I bet you they marked up that $37K at least 100%. Probably closer to 150%.

@@McRocket lol it's a sweet truck but yes, too many recalls on all these new cars. I think they are too smart for their own good. Too much tech and losing sight on real world quality. The engine and transmission are beast. Rest, meh
@@McRocket also put in consideration of leather seats with heated and ventilated functions, sunroof,advanced camera features, infotainment unit, GPS, carpet, bed liner, ect. The option list is thicc for these trucks. But when you think about it I rather spend the money on one of these trucks, then spend the same amount on a crossover. Pick up trucks are amazing these days. What other automobile where you can tow a bobcat, have a tool box in the back, have a pallet of sod in the bed, drop your kids and wife off at grandma house comfortably all at the same time making money? I know one thing you cant do that in a Porsche Macan.

GM has to cut costs and corners elsewhere besides just build quality, right?

They are misleading by saying it is an Allison Transmission. It is an "Allison branded" transmission. Alison does not make that 10-speed transmission. Word around the block is that transmission is trash.

Roger Dodger I’m 6 feet tall and I was looking at one at the auto show the other day thinking I’m not tall enough to drive this damn thing, I can barely see over the hood!

If you look under the back of brand new Fords, you will find lift blocks on the leaf springs from the factory

I didn’t like the look at first it’s growing on me, either way so glad they decided to take a risk and not just make it all square and 1980’s looking like the last gen. The high country looks the best with painted bumpers.

I'm loving the new looks of these Chevy HD's especially in LTZ and High Country but also the Custom looks mean in the right color in person.

The front end is ugly but yet functional, it doubles as an anti theft feature. It reminds me of the horror story book from the movie Page Master.. Plus you don’t have to worry about deer running out in front of that grill.

Admitting Li I am not a giant truck fan but I have to say that the front end of this thing is hideous. My cousin has a newer Silverado with the electronic's tail gate that stopped working about a year ago and GM still doesn't have the replacement parts so I'm thinking that this new one is not gonna be much better. GM builds elecktronicks krapp that doesn't seem to last very long. I work SA car wholesaler and get annoyed when I have discussions with people who tell me how great their Chevrolet trucks have always been especially since they have to go back to the 1990s lol. I tried to explain to them that a $20000 Silverado for 1991 is far different then a $70000 Silverado of today. The biggest difference is that the 30 year old Silverado will still be seen on the road 5 or 10 years from now but the new when is questionable.
May be a great truck, but I can’t see past those ridiculous mirrors.

They are huge yes but just got done driving a 2500hd and a ram 2500 us both distance driving snd could see past the larger Chevy mirror much better then the small ram ones due to shape

That's funny. For some crazy reason, over 1000/day isn't enough to keep up with sales. We are running 24hrs 6-7 days a week to keep up. Our demographic loves it. This is a big industrial truck, disguised as a pickup. Not a froo-froo mall crawler.

Front end is sooo large because they put a extra large radiator in front to keep temps in normal ranges when towing heavy loads up and down mountains. No more over heating when climbing
“Butterface” comes to mind. Nice rear, nice sides but yikes!

Already recalls on 2020 Silverados for Electrical system shorting..... Stay far away from GM Stick with Ford or Toyota for Reliabilty folks.
An over priced work horse, the Duramax diesel,is the perfect alternative to ford,s power stroke, and Cummins superb inline diesels.
Remember when pickup Trucks had nice looking designs and easy to use controls? I miss so days. Seriously the front of this truck, what were they think??

Be nice to see the difference in turning radius and ride quality compared to the competition, GM HD trucks have a tighter turning radius because of the independent front suspension. Would also like to see the payload numbers

I guess that I'm the only one here who really likes the front end of these and I'm a Ford person. Oh, at first I was like 'WTH' but after seeing them up close on the road, I can see myself driving one (although I probably never will). I will concede that Chevy put out a polarizing appearance with this truck but I like it better than the RAM HD, but the Ford Superduty wins the looks contest for sure.
If the Griswolds had a truck this would be it.

Honestly, I like the redesigned GM trucks styling more than the new Ram's. Ram went too soft for me.
But I can see how it would turn off a lot of people, and not surprised it finished its first year with 0% sales gains
At least the diesel is fast! Ram was up 18% in its first year of its redesign. Gained a lot of market share last year
And the interior was left in the dust by the Ram. Once you get in a Ram, you won't make it to a GM dealer
This truck is about 3/4 of the way to being a big rig. Just replace the bed with a 5th wheel. Plus, I think it needs more grille. MORE GRILLE!
