The last huge planet wide flood was roughly 12,000 years ago, so if the theory is true, we're getting close to the next cycle. We have a small pond with a waterfall in our backyard, and when we get heavy rains, my wife worries about the overflow onto our patio. After seeing this devastation, I told her that she doesn't ever have to fret again about overflow. Perspective is everything.
I hate it that it did the damage it has in Boone, all the great restaurants and other businesses were flooded. That's a wonderful community and I hope it gets back to normal soon for them.

All of these disasters will need money to clean up. How are we going to find the money? The state won’t be able to afford this and if storms and floods like this keep happening even the Feds will run out of money. All of the Federal tax cuts will need to be repealed or allowed to expired. Foreign aid costs us millions to 1-2 billions but big corporate tax cuts cost us trillions.

Hey I built the molds for that parable toilet. I also know a 178 pound man can fit inside the holding tank as small as it is.
