I find the complexity of getting into the bitcoin suspect. Money even though it's value is imaginary I can walk into any store and interact with it. I can acquire it as simply as a straight forward online transaction of physically having the money put into my hand. Bitcoin is much more complicated to deal with, tried to look into it some time ago. As well the energy demands to generate those ledgers is growing increasingly hazardous to environmental concerns. End of the day I can't shake the feeling there is something of a scam there. Yes there is value so long as someone will exchange for it but we have that in the fiat cash as well. Gold at least maintains a value because it's not only useful as a medium of exchange but valued as a physical object for various uses, all the more so in a modern digital age where gold can be a very valued component to the sophisticated electronics.

It's not made of gold but there's gold used in the electricity components of the home, more silver than gold but still some gold, so there's a flaw in your logic. The only reason more gold isn't used is because it's so expensive at the moment and silver works fine for that scenario. His functional equivelant also went right over your head lol.
