The linked recombinator guide has guidelines for identifying both of these types, but as far as I know there's no comprehensive list. For non-native mods, you can manually cross-reference the affix pools between Str, Dex, and Int bases. That's what I did for this shield.

The system itself is easy: you merge two things and get a mix of mods from both. What makes it hard is trying to min max it.
