I have been flying the Avanti S and i had just gotten the F15 last summer and am building up the courage to fly it. I knew going in that i would have to land this thing under power unlike my Avanti S which floats like a kite on landing so your information of 45/50% throttle with flaps and air brake is very helpful, thank you for that.
Don’t worry, the most common mistake people make in aeromodeling is exactly this one, I.e landing cutting off the throttle and gliding to the ground but is absolutely not the right way
From what i saw on your landing it doesn't look like it glides very well as i saw you land under power but my question to you was how much throttle did you have it for a safe landing?
@@ronr9430 It’s obvious that it not glides , is a jet , he isn’t supposed to glide, expecially on landing. Like the real jet you have to slow down using flaps and airbrake if the plane does have one, and descending with constant speed supported by the correct amount of throttle. In the case of this f15, it needs a lot of throttle to stay up with the flaps and airbrake opened , like 45/50% throttle

What are your thoughts on this as the next jet after a L-39 trainer?
If u already fly the l39 without problems I think you can fly this, but I don’t recommend it because is very underpowered and lazy on the aerobatics
@@RICKS_JETS_GARAGE Bummer - I kind of figured that from watching all the videos. I think I am going for the Freewing F-16 70mm.
@@FLYANDIor with the f16 90 mm, one of the most aerobatic freewing model
