I loved this video! I very much love everything the Amish do. They are so talented in craftsmanship it really does put the average person in awe. Thanks for taking us along this adventure.
We have different definitions of craftsmanship depending upon what we have been exposed to as we grow up and how we are taught by others and also what we experience when we come into contact with other ways of doing things. It is what we learn and what we glean from experience as to what works and what does not that influences our level of craftsmanship. The Amish definitely have gleaned a lot of experience over the centuries as to what constitutes craftsmanship. And they are not alone.

Thanks for your Strong 💪 Efforts in Documenting this very involved process. It’s Safe to say that most people have NO Clue this is how the Amish Build. Thx!👍
Wow ! I guess weddings come in threes. Well getting them all out of the way at once. Will be here to watch your videos when you get a minute. 🤣😃. Have fun. 👍👍
I used to do tours through Amish country near Augusta, Wi. They had a harness and leather shop like the saw mill where all of the machines were run by one motor.
So kool, i had them saw the lumber that i did the inside of my house with "poplarwood" actually. It's like 3/4 of an inch x up to 12 foot long, I did board and batten on my walls. Everyone seems to like it. I do It's maintenance free... Cool video... Thanks for sharing 😊
Josh sent me over from his videos and he said you were pretty good looking, he's right. Watching you take us to your shed repos or anywhere else you choose to video will be fun. The Amish shed builders is a good one to start. Thanks so much. I'm subscribing now
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to video this . Living near Lancaster PA., Im always interested in how thing are done by the Amish and also old school craftsmen.
Beast of Burden: Super cool Draft Horses are very strong, I don't know if these are of Irish descent or not? They pulled that building like it was nothing. I have seen them pull up tree stumps and they are worth their weight in gold if you need them...
Those are not mules they are work horses. I am not sure of the breed, though. Oh, I did not realize you were talking about the thing that hooked onto the buildings that the horses pulled!!!! They are sure well trained.
It’s Obvious we’re Spoiled with ALL the Equipment we have. The Amish Method fully shows Why their Method and their Finished Products are Highly Respected.
I would not say that we are spoiled, in the sense that all through time, ever since we started to walk up on our hind legs, we have been always thinking of how we could do a job better and faster. It is not so much the physical end of things, granted people in the past because they did not have the technology, or the developed machinery did things with more physical labor did not know any different and of course they were accustomed to the physical labor. Even the Amish with their beliefs in not using machinery have to make concessions to the economics of the situation regarding production and cutting production costs. In some cases as we can see it may be more reasonable both in time and simplicity to continue to use simple tools and equipment rather than get complicated trying to reinvent the wheel so to speak. As always us human beings are constantly challenging ourselves to build a better mousetrap and it is how we are wired like it or not. Regardless of the methods the interest in making a quality product that will stand up to the test of time is what counts.
Man those would make great tiny homes.. Nothing Like Fresh Cut Lumber!! Love to work there!! Do they not put shoes on there horses? Man they did not look so good..
I'd buy a Amish product any day over this other junk at box stores. I a carpenter by trade. So I do my own building. Crooked building was cool!!! Just found you and subbed of course. Thanks.
Engines are considered modern machinery by Amish. I thought they rejected technology but Mennonites are ok with it. Might as well ditch the buggies and drive trucks.
Someone needs to donate some boots and didn't they never heard of health and safety that was stop the job straight away in the UK there's no boots😅 but they're doing good work I'll give you that
It's kind of strange how they break some rules here and then go strict there. I'm trying to get it. The saw being run by a petrol motor seemed kind of silly to me, and still uses an engine anyway. What exactly are they avoiding by doing it that way? But they do get a little more self sufficiency, less dependence on the world and its supply chains when they jerry-rig things themselves, even if they are still using technology. That's why I'm trying to get it, I'm not writing it off. And the product they make is beautiful. But sometimes I can't help but think it seems a lot more against "the rules" to be using all these engines than it might be to wear a simple pair of shoes that they could make themselves. Or to use all the tech they do, but then won't use a power drill, they must hammer all the nails in. Anyway, it's cool, and I like that they exist.
You can find these cabins at ohiovalleysheds.com. Free delivery within 50 miles.

I could not believe that guy was barefoot.
Some guys wear steel toe boots. Some guys go barefoot.
Those are not mules they are work horses. I am not sure of the breed, though. Oh, I did not realize you were talking about the thing that hooked onto the buildings that the horses pulled!!!! They are sure well trained.
I've only seen the Pennsylvania Amish riding in the buggies pulled by a horse.

@@overthehill1958 I agree with you.

I'm chubby. I've never seen chubby Amish.I see why.
About 60% of their process utilizes modern tools. Why not use drills and pneumatic nail guns?
Interesting thanks.
That's all pretty neet, but I'm betting after you got out of sight they brought out the modern machines
Man those would make great tiny homes.. Nothing Like Fresh Cut Lumber!! Love to work there!! Do they not put shoes on there horses? Man they did not look so good..

Looks like that Ottawa saw could easily break your arm if you're not familiar with it.
NEAT❤
Amazing skills! So they only use mechanical technology and nothing electrical!
all the machines to cut the wood but use horses to move stuff around...can of hippacrital
6:53 safety first ..
👍
keep on trying to up loading

They must have tough feet😮
Just wonder if they use motors for powering shop how come not Vehicles ????? Thanks for the tour 👍👍👍🫡
Ottawa is Canada's capital.

I have a lot of the same question you have about this. A lot of the rules don’t make a lot of sense to me either!
Hey, leave the cat alone. hahaha......We're still saying that and it's 13 years later. :)
Whats the prices on these buildings? And they are in Ohio right? Thanks
Well the bare feet kind of get me -- I'm sure there are no pedicures involved... probably growing some amazing calluses..
Why does that guy not have splinters in his feet, all that wood!!!!!😬
Good that hey don't have OSHA safety inspectors there.
Also what's with the bare feet?
That guy has to get stain on them toes!
How many splinters does that man get in his feet!?!
What's with the gasoline engine powered tools. I thought the Amish were opposed to this technology.
Maybe they are Mennonite? I didn't think Amish used gas engines?
In that environment with no socks no shoes .. gotta kno what you doing
Is it pretty typical for the amish to work barefoot? If so, is there a reason?
I thought they didn’t use technology or machines
ok i thought they did not use power of any kind
i dont think you can fit the horses on the dodge
Seems so silly why bother. Just use a chain saw, much faster. A fuel tank is a fuel tank
great work, but he sure needs some boots on....going to lose a toe
