much love man! thanks for watching! he's definitely an awesome guy, he became a great friend that morning.its awesome that it can happen like that, people bonding over the passion and love for cars is why I make these videos still. thanks again
I love his positive attitude. With this kind of health issue it would be easy to mope around feeling sorry for yourself but this guy gets on and does something positive with his life.
Bugs were built into gassers and altereds all the time back in the day. They were actually the most popular body style amongst the casual fans at the tracks.
Beautiful. I realy like that Your grandbabys got their hands on this. They will never ever forget. It would be so nice if one day the grandbabys could have some fun with this.
The music the scenery from the front window, made it seem like we are watching an old B movie from the 70's. Big props to the builder, it's a very nice car.
I met Pepsi Joe during Hot Rod Power Tour in 2021… Day 4 Gateway. Did an interview for Hyndzyte Engineering channel. His trailer matches!!! You’ll meet a lot of people in this hobby and he is one of the good ones. Thanks for sharing JOE!
This guy sure cherishes his friends. He looks at his car & thinks of Jim when he sees the fender, his Brother when he looks at the bumper... & here I am, can't even remember Jon's name when he's standing right on front of me.
thanks for the kind words man! Joe is an awesome guy, a good friend of mine,so I was happy to make his video series documenting his trip. I felt like I was there with everyone and now want to go myself! if you want show him some support check out his channel PepsiJoe's Adventures! thanks for watching buddy!
@@ALifeWithCars Your welcome and I will check his channel out and I plan on doing a quick video of what I shot of him. I always love a good story behind the cars and Joe's is a great one!
This is an amazing human being, knowing that he’s not right and still pushes on. Nothing but respect and admiration for you sir, very nice gasser in my book.
Cool car for a gasser.I've owned 5 different bugs over the years but nothing like that. You did a great job. Hope you keep going for many more years and good luck on the truck build.
Sick ride brother, I know that area well, my grandpa helped build and paint the metal piasa bird that is now at Southwestern High School and he helped paint the bird on the cliff
Back when I hung out at US30 Drag Strip in Indiana, there was an old Vespa 400 (I think) with a 427 Chevy that just kicked ass...this has a similar vibe...love it.
You are a badass Pepsi Joe. It's a pleasure from Autoco to deal with your positive energy my friend. Thank you for the stickers and poster. You're badass!
Right there with ya Pepsi Joe. Been a life long Pepsi man. Have a cousin that's been with Pepsi since 1983, started as a driver and is now a sales manager. Lil bug looks awesome and is a fun Lil ride. Hope things keep going well for you. Parkinsons sucks man but you seem to be doing well.
It's been two years since this video has been made I hope you get this compliment beautiful car dude awesome story behind it hope you're doing good God bless you
been a long time since I saw a bug with a deliberately raised nose! Kinda "anti-cal-look". I love it, looks like some of the 1/25 scale models I used to build as a kid!
Man fuck parkinson's..! It's just devistating to think that I couldn't hold a wrench. Or not be able to paint. God bless Pepsi Joe for being so strong and keeping a good attitude. Truly inspiring.!
Southeast gassers have to be period correct stuff done to the car there is another gasser club out of Kentucky that does not require all period correct parts on the car it's gaser mafia or something like that I forget the name now.
Very cool car! I give the builder all the props for building this thing given his physical limitations. Will definitely be looking for him this year on Dragweek. Hey, I was thinking that if he laid the radiator back slightly (like a ‘Vette) he could get a hood on it. Then just cut a bunch of holes in the hood to let air pass through. Just a thought...
Ive thought about that but doesn’t the lean take away from the coolant capacity. ? Plus there is not more than 3 inches between the water pump and fan I’d think it would hit before I obtained enough lean
Yeah joe! Good job, your famous now! Angry Herby is next? I’ve only been taking the Ls version out to shows the past few years, the big block bug has been sitting in the garage !

Exactly, since loads of VW gassers and altereds were built at the time. Not a “twist” or “one of a kind” by any measure.
