My heart almost couldn't withstand this cat intermission, between Fenix in the backpack and Sally's belly all stretched out in the sun, there was just too much adorable for me to handle. The tiny little micro palette is really cute, but not quite as cute as those two kitties.
The portable micro palette reminds me of a floss case 😂

Omg this is literally a pallet for watercolors? It's so small. It would really help me for my vacation. The only bad thing is that I can't find little pallets in the same shape and I can't really buy online for something with my credit card sooo now I'm sad😞
Pastel tins and small metal boxes make for interesting and fun, fun sized watercolor pallettes! You do need an external water cup though if you don’t want to use a waterbrush
You can use an Altoids tin or other mint tin!
The price isn't bad for one. I'm thinking of buying one.

WoW that looks so handy for painting like in the hospital, when waiting between appointments ! Wel yeah, when we’re aloud to wait again in the hospital :)
This micro one is more a thing for me, as I thought the normal portable palette was a bit big for me. 6 colors is more than enough when your out.
Oh yes please, show us some beautiful nature of the forest in Sweden. If you don’t want to paint outside, just from a picture you took on that walk?
I also loved this painting, messy watercolors are the perfect watercolor paintings :)

Fenix "helping" really made the video for me. It's so clear he just wants to be part of what you're doing and oh my god his little face is the cutest, those big eyes of his are adorable! I want to squish him and give him a smooch for being such a cute kitten. Love the picture, and I might have a look at getting that palette.

I have the original Portable Palette as well as the newer Micro. Love them both. I've never seen 2 of the micros connected like that. That's a great idea. I think you've convinced me to purchase a second one. Great video and adorable cat.

Your video is so inspiring! I loved the picture of the girl painting out in the forest. I've seen this palette on another channel but for some reason, you made it look more interesting and useful. I know the pain. It makes playing piano really difficult not being able to reach octaves easily. 🥺 my hands are always shorter than any of the other ladies’ hands!

such a pretty painting :D when i went to school (estet, bild & form) i had no clue how to use the watercolors, but now it's one of my favorite mediums even tho i can't paint anything, I'm more of an abstract person x)

I like the idea of plein air, I just never seem to get around to actually DOING it 😅 I did however bring my sketchbook and a fine liner out on our family woodsy adventure yesterday and managed to make some quick sketches!

I only remember painting outside once. You should definitely do a video where you paint outside.
Pretty nifty if you want a prefab. I love that they can interlock with each other.
I like to use an altoids tin for a travel pallets. I put magnets on the backs of half pans and stick them inside. I use a nintendo pouch meant for DS to carry it and brushes

This looks like a great product! I also live in a northern part of the world, so as soon as it’s sunny, I’m outside painting! Or try to be as much as possible ;)
So funny, i just bought the original portal painter to put some tube colors in and now i wish I had bought the micro 😅
Maybe ill get the micro and just move the pans i used.
I love your kitties. Mine are super helpful too. Mostly just one - she likes to push my things on the floor and chew my paper 😅 so much help
I just got one of these. Now they have new pans and you can have up to 16 colors. Also, there is a loop to put it on a lanyard. I didn’t even notice that until I watched a video review. I put a few colorful butterfly stickers on to fancy it up and I’m going to get a pretty ribbon to hang it around my neck to take it out and traveling.
Aw nothing beats a cat tester, one does have to test the quality of a drawing pencil. :) Such a cute mini palette, would love to get one. Love the illustration you did and watercolors are my second favorite art medium.

I haven’t really painted outside yet (just customizing a flamingo yard decoration on the porch and driveway). I would like to try it at some point as well as setting up my American Girl Samantha doll to paint outside like she does in Samantha Saves The Day.
This small one is so cuteeee and I would so get one if I ever get better at doing watercolors. Omg I love the picture ever thought of making them into printable color pages? I can always try and print them out on watercolor paper for practice. Also sally is me lol.
Love your piece as always. I've seen this palette a few times now and it seems tobe pretty nice. I just bought a set of travel brushes for my vacation next month. This would work great with that.
Kitties are adorable as always! You should look into the "cat backpack" btw. I think Jackson Galaxy makes them (or maybe is just affiliated, not sure). They're backpacks designed to carry your cats, they have a little window (air holes obviously!) and such so you can go hiking and stuff with your cat. They're on IG.

I'm usually not out in the wild when drawing or painting, but I love sitting on our terrace in our real big garden 🥰 That portable painter seems like a real nifty tool, but I'm feeling most comfortable when I got like a classic 12 colour set-up like in those regular opaque watercolour boxes, so I'd probably get my 3D -printer to work and print some half pens with a seperati g piece down the middle, so I can cram those in ^^'
I would love to see outdoor painting.
They also sell regular travel brushed that come apart to make a mini brush I love them sm!!!

Id like to get one of the portable painters, they are so cute and very usable. Maybe I should order a water color sketchbook and get started I did just replace my del guard pencil so it's perfect timing.

I'd love to paint on the go, and I never knew such a cute palette existed?! Aren't you worried about storing your paint pans and them ending up cracked though? Oh, my cats do exactly the same as yours each time I grab a pencil ! Well, to be exact, one bites the pencil, and the other one prefers to rub herself to it cause she loves all kind of scratches (and has no teeth lol). Both techniques helps equally I would say
When you say "half paints", your accent makes it sound like you're saying "hot pants", a popular fashion item from the 80's, and that just made me giggle each time I heard it :)
She's actually saying "half pans" - the little trays that paints come in/you put paint in are called "pans".
@@Littlewings1211 Ohh, thank you, lol! Her accent is adorable but sometimes it can be hard to understand some of her words since this is an accent I don't hear too often :)

Came for the art but subbed for the cats.
I bring a sketch pad with me everywhere and I have been looking for a very small pallet to paint outside or well anywhere. I love painting outside so much but I don't know if this is just me but when I paint outside with the sun shining the white paper blinds me from shear whitenss of the paper reflecting from the sun
I was wondering if you have done (or would consider doing) so beginners watercolour/illustration/photorealism tutorials or mini courses? Having wanted to be more arty all my life I decided mid-30s to try and learn but it's very difficult. Any advice or examples from you would be awesome.
if you do painting field trips, it would be nice to have forest sounds audio with/instead of music :)

The smallest palette that I know is the pocket palette by art tool kit. It is literally the size and width of a business card holder !
perfect size to take plein air painting when you dont want to carry a lot of stuff
I don't like having water in the sides of the portable painter, I always have issues dealing with the dirty water in cafes and such, so I bring my little watertight jars anyway. That's why I didn't like the bigger portable, the sides are just wasted space for me. With the micro I can use it as mixing space and the 2 corners are perfect for my 2 jars.

My favourite micro palettes: etsy.me/37wioJR adapted to take 12 full pans (that is a purchase option and I also chose with magnets) and three Windsor & Newton half pans (they are smaller and I filed them even narrower to fit less snugly) and also etsy.me/2r1UiFw
Also you said somewhere that the Portable Painter Micro came with a water bottle but I can’t see it.
Its a deeper pan that she didn't attach in the painting process. While going over the parts she points it out as 'a bigger side that can be a extra paint pallet or a water dish'

She used the word jar. It’s just after the cat intermission. Definitely referred to the water tray.

I'd go outside more to work, but I live with other people who constantly yell at me about "making a mess on THEIR porch." So I mostly stay out of "their" way. :l

Although I love having people watching my content, rude comments like this are beyond annoying.
When you have a RUclips chanel you should be able to take comments and learn from them. The fact that I am a follower and love the content that helps supports and grows your chanel ,should not be annoying to you. I am a hair dresser and if I had that attitude to the people who keep me in business, I wouldn't have one. Instead of the comment you made you should look at how you can improve your speech and public speaking.
