Thanks for posting. I know I need a new seat as I find the stock seat on my 2022 a bit hard but more problematic, slopes forward so always sliding in to the frunk. Going to a custom upholsterer might be a good place to go.
I've been really impressed so far, not ridden enough to know if its worked 100%, but the experience has shown me that if this doesn't work, going back and getting them to redo the whole seat is definitely the way forward. They would be able to put harder foam at the front and softger to the rear as well as shape the seat better to remove the issue you face. Though just having the gel insert definitely stops the movement forward you describe...it is kind of like being locked in place or having a much stickier seat cover.
Did an update video on this, it made a difference, but not enough, I ended up changing the 2019 bikes seat for a shad one, for the 2021 it extended the time before your got uncomfortable, but only to about 2 hours or so. I would suggest changing the foam and adding a gel pad or getting a different seat entirely.
It’s not so much the height the changes (it’s only about 3 to 5 mm different. It’s more that it’s wider so pushes your legs further apart. I’m about 30” inside leg and found it fine..but have a look at my update video before moving forward with this option.

Hi did you find seat hight was changed as i have a lowing seat on v strom 1050 xt and only have a 29 inch inside leg
