    Former Montrealer, Habs fan 4ever. Been living in Seattle for 25 years. I have seen Shane Wright, in rookie camps, pre-season, NHL games. His ceiling is 3rd line. I keep on telling my friends here look who else receives exceptional status in the CHL. I predict he’ll play less than 200 NHL games. Habs dodged a bullet not drafting him in 2022.

      Totally agree and I ask you sir is his worst enemy himself? His ego, because I tell you when I watch his actions and his interviews honestly I am surprised anyone drafted him in the first round. Take care down there I hope everyone near and dear are all good.

    The fact that our team is already looking good and that our prospect pool is better than ever shows how bright the future of this team is. I'm way too pumped!

    So nice to see them build a solid core of super talented players. This is the most hopeful I've been about the Habs in the last 30 years.
    Happy Thanksgiving gentlemen great show as always.

    I haven't heard Grant McCagg this excited about the Habs.
    Grant has a great vision, he predicted a lot of positive aspects about quite a few Habs.

    Suzuki had a rough first couple games, losing pucks not creating much, but not worried, it’s a long season and like Grant says, he’s focusing on D side against the league’s best
    Laine hasn’t played hockey in some time, I don’t expect him to come in guns blazing, his timing will be off a bit, shooting and skating will need to catch up, could be a full calendar year or longer since he’s played a regular season game, but can’t wait to see him in lineup

    • @tylerlussier1896
      @tylerlussier1896 2 месяца назад

      Laine looked very good in the time he was on the ice in pre season… He had scoring chances in his first game looked dangerous and fast, This injury is not a serious injury he has had injuries before that were worse than this one…
      3-4 games when Laine gets back and he will start to look like himself.

    Barron has some value to teams, he has a floor of bottom pair, he hasnt hit his ceiling yet. He is still young, plays a desired position, Right D, can at least get a 2nd round pick I feel if not more for the right customer.

    I think keep Mailloux in Laval for 20 or so games. Let him work the Defense side of game this is his only weakness. He should be first call up. I think he will be better then Reinbacher.

    • @jimmyboy2165
      @jimmyboy2165 2 месяца назад

      I really do agree with you. But he has got to come up no matter how many games if someone gets hurt he has got to bebthe first one called up. If he is Givin a legit chance, then I do honestly believe his story will end with...... and the rest is history.

    I think the top 6 in 2025-2026 s going to be Matheson-Guhle to start Struble-Hutson and Xhekaj-Mailloux with Reinbacher/Engstrom as the 7th

  • @oasisbeyond
    @oasisbeyond 2 месяца назад +1

    Hutson is small and thats his disadvantage, he doesn't scare anyone. So he needs to use his advantages take the puck away, and get the puck out of the zone and create an offensive attack.

  • @timdasilva2806

    Where the F do you have to go to see the Laval Rocket lines?

  • @markhodge7
    @markhodge7 2 месяца назад

    Optimistically, a couple of years from a Cup run. Fowler, with a Monty back-up. Or Cayden back-up, with some sweet trade. This team has video game qualities of what is possible, even short term, meaning, a couple of years.

    Make no mistake,mailloux will be a top 4 by years end(nhl). He has size,speed,shot,grit,hands and can flat out score.future assistant captain type of player

  • @BrianK49
    @BrianK49 2 месяца назад +1

    Hutson has tremendous talent - unfortunately he does NOT have PKs shot - if only Hutson had a NHL shot - hopefully he can develop one!

    • @dav4303
      @dav4303 2 месяца назад

      Never has but creates space. Mailloux has Grit which we are lacking. Hutson can enter the zone with the space he creates nobody better on this team. Thought Newhook would with his speed but until Demi here we won’t go seamlessly into setting up PP

  • @oasisbeyond
    @oasisbeyond 2 месяца назад +1

    Mailloux is like Hainsey, l feel he will get traded. Needs to be on pp in Nhl to succeed, not a third pairing. So he needs to go where the defense is lacking big time. He's kinda like Souray, not the best d but big shot.

      Not more than Barron. Maillioux is ahead of him. Way more physical. Makes better reads. It just sucks the numbers game works against him. Barron needs more time in Laval and you can see it every game he plays. As soon as Struble is back Barron will be out as the 7th

      The great Recrutes family with Shayne and Grant....Humble and professional.... love ur show.... My take is we need one stable experienced right D to be in the mix like Rasmus Anderson ( and then trade Savard , Barron and bring Mailloux)...
      if needed.... put Guhle left.... while we wait for trades involving Barron Savard....

  • @jondion4535
    @jondion4535 2 месяца назад

    Mailloux will be much better than Reinbacher ever will. We should have drafted Michkov instead. We need scoring not more defensemen. We will regret that choice forever. Imagine Michkov and Demidov together. Reinbacher was already behind in his development before his injury. Now he will miss a much needed year of development. He was a bust imo even before the injury. No mgmt team is immune from bad decisions and this was a major mistake imo. I'm sure there will be some that disagree and will agree with every decision this mgmt team makes. But look at it objectively.

    You are lost thinking this team will be in the running only chance they do if goal tending stands on it head that said they have a good core but missing way to many pieces next year will be a movement year this year bottom 5 pic
