Great review, thanks man !
It looks like Speedybee are taking a really practical approach to making their frames.
Staying with the classics and adding a few practical features.
I'd be quite curious to know how much of a difference the heatsink is doing.
Just got my frame today, I'm assembling it right now , I'm wondering how did you manage to attach the tpu bumper below the camera mount ? The screws which came with the frame are way to short ? I guess I gotta get like m3x8 or smth like that?
Hey man, I love your content and will now build one these but wanted to ask if you will be having a new 2023 new build video because I am waiting for that instead to build my future drone... please let me know and thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.
Wow nice build bro. Love to build this same frame. Can u post ur exact specs of this build and ur pids? Thanks
Hey can we get a blackbox view of the frequency and freq vs throttle before filtering? I’m thinking about buying one of these frames.
I just built a Master hd with the O3, Speedybee f7 v3 fc, T motor Velox 50a esc, Axis flight ae2207 1960 kv motors, 2 35v 1000uf low esr caps, 470uf smd tantalum cap on the 3.3v rail. When I get a chance to fly it I’ll let everyone know that liked this comment how the BB looks. For the price it was a good experience unboxing this frame. I’m not crazy about the front being so long, it’s a weird looking frame but I just want a frame for the O3 without props in view…I’m not expecting it to fly like my Apex or Quadmula siren split but who knows maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised, I really like how the stack is mounted I’m thinking it’s going to have very low noise pre filters, but if it was I think Speedybee would have mentioned it as a selling point.
@@mikemarucci913 how do you like the quadmula vs the apex?
@@flyingeyefpv I like them both, that said I think I like the Apex more BUT they both fly amazing. The Quadmula has a lighter locked in feeling, the Apex flys awesome on stock Betaflight 4.4 and has a heavy locked in feeling but still goes where you point it, the Quadmula did need some tweaks. I have been using the Apex for so long I think it’s more of a comfort thing. Both are awesome frames.
@@mikemarucci913 sounds like I cant go wrong, thanks for the reply!
Just ordered this frame earlier today. Just gotta wait for it for a few weeks before it arrives.
Noice, it'll be worth the wait!
nailed it......😎
Is the camera soft mounted on this frame and or do you get jitters when you fly? also whats the likelihood of the back end plastics snapping straight off from a slight crash?
I built this frame and absolutely love it. The handling is butter smooth (probably attributed to the soft mount for the flight controller. Question I cannot get smooth video on my O3 when using Rock Steady on this drone. I set my PWM freq to 48 kHz with no improvement. I'm fairly certain the mounting system is letting some vibes make their way into the camera at some resonant frequency. Have you been able to get Rock Steady to work effectively on this frame?
there is a video of some guy putting glue inside the casing of the o3 unit, it fixed the problem on lots of people. Check it out hope it helps.
Yo are you using a capacitor the xt60 keeps pushing down on my capacitor and I can’t close the top plate
Hey how fast does the drone go
Speed is going to depend on your build
This build reaches close to 100mph
What's some good motors to use with this frame? What's everyone using?
Hey im planing to build a FPV Drone with the Same frame and dji o3 and i was wondering If i could also use 1900kv Motors with the ethix Pb&j p3 props instead of 1700kv Motors. Since the difference is only 200kv
yup! That shouldnt be an issue
Like from Bangladesh❤❤
Thanks for the review. 9:06 Tell me please, twhich batteries you used during the flight, 4S or 6S and what capacity, as well as which propellers?
And you forgot to mention this frame weight a tone 😂
I was stunned when I got my frame - the quality has increased so much over the past years - incredible ...
160 grams. Too heavy
I like this frame! does it have any isolation for the camera? I see iFlight had to supply some isolation mounts because the solid mount was affecting the gyro in the camera..
Where did you place the radio receiver? I see the T antena on the back but not the actual receiver
On this drone I put the RX above the FC stack. This frame has lots of room 👍
cant wait mine arrives tomorrow
Has anyone installed a Walksnail avatar video system in this frame? will the length of the stock cable be enough?
How do you fit nd filter onto o3 camera? My original filters cant fit when camera is inside aluminum front part
I really would like to built a O3 Quad, but firstly, there are not that many o3 frames out there yet (do you know, if something specific comes out soon?) 2. what I dont like about that one is, that the Nose is way too long, would love to get all the impact in a crash to the arms (Vanystyle o3 would be a option, really like that compact design, even if its hard to built) but its not available in Europe. 3. Do you plan on buildign some Indoor Quads with the o3 as well? :) thank you so much for your content, huge fan since a long time (other RUclips Account before)
I bet since the arms are 5mm and not 6mm they will rip off in a bad crash. Had this happen a couple times with their last frame. 2 times it ripped the pads off their ESC. Not flying anything with arms less than 6mm.
PS if you do use 5mm arms and they get ripped off - is there a way of protecting your esc from getting damaged like with the pads ripping out?
I have my Titan frame which I've been using for over a year now. Just went 6s and lower KV motors and I'm in love with FPV again.
Ha epic! Literally just had mine turn up in the mail 10 minutes ago here in Australia 🤙
Awesome frame love mine i am however concerned bout 03 unit mounting. Cool set up however the 4 screws that go thru bottom plate to the air unit could be longer feels secure however if quad takes the rite impact reckon it may eject. Longer coaxial cable should come stock in these build kits too.
Is props or camera mount in view? Not sure if the footage is from air unit or GoPro. Dvr would have been nice to see for flight properties
I mentioned this a couple times in the video, props are not in camera view on the HD version.
Flight footage is from the O3
That's a gorgeous looking frame! Excellent review! 👍👍👍
Hi, what GPS size needed to fit bracket ?
Hey man, I'm new to FPV and I'm kinda looking for some advice. I bought a DJI FPV drone, but I've been too scared to run it full manual for very long because they aren't very user serviceable when I inevitably wreck it.
Since I have the goggles and controller, would you recommend building out a drone like this, or should I just buy a small cheap analog RTF kit like the tinyhawk?
Im in the same situation as you but with the dji avata. Ive already flown the avata in manual for a while and if you praticed enough in the simulator it is much easier than you think. I would just build or buy a dji o3 drone like the one in the video, so you can use your googles and controller and start flying. If you break smth these are pretty easy to fix and you will need these skills anyway going forward.
👍👍👍
I like the frame. Which motors, FC, ESC are you using? I also have one noob question. How do you know which radio do you need?
I was using an iFlight Succex-d F7 Twin-G stack and xing 2207 1800kv motors 🤘 That flight was stock BF 4.3 settings.
The radio you use will depend on what protocol you want to use. Most radios have a bay in the back of the controller to use any module you want. I have an ethix mambo with a crossfire module in the back.
@@TRONCATFPV One more question. Do you know how far up can you tilt the camera? I'll be using dji o3 unit.
Is easy to replace the cable??
What stack do you use ?
Been debating on frames while waiting for my v2 to ship. This looks like a winner
I crashed my turn into a lake😅😭
This frame looks good. Awesome content, quick question is the Master HD frame also compatible with the Caddx vista or Air unit ?
yup it should!
@@TRONCATFPV awesome I look forward to building this quad and will definitely purchase through your affiliate link . I have purchased Speedybee's F405 stack and was pleasantly surprised on how good it performed. Thanks Troncat.....PS: I still us the floss 😊
My 11-year-old built the latest budget FPV drone from you video, which flew perfectly for 2 days. When he upgraded the betaflight firmware to 4.4 the drone on initial take-off go to full power on its own and then shut down at appx 4 feet. We erased 4.4 and re-installed 4.3 however the same issue persists. None of our troubleshooting has resolved the issue please give your thoughts. Thank you
make sure your board is oriented correctly and motors are spinning the correct direction.
@@TRONCATFPV thank you we really appreciate your advice and will LYk
Thank you for the info it worked perfectly.
Also don’t load backup or CLI file from version before on 4.4. This is the expected behaviour.
Damn that frame is dope af
Awesome looking frame!
Awesome mate👍
So sick
Merci pour la review
Can it use with avata nd filters?
Having the same question here also so can nd filter be installed on this setup?
isn't the O3 camera 20mm?
It is, I misspoke. Good catch!
Great review
I wanna get into fpv but am still saving up for an air 2s so one day I’ll get into fpv but I think it’s better for me to first get a normal low speed drone under perfect control 😅
Air 2s is my go-to for aerial photography.
Great drone to learn on especially if you've never flown a drone before. DJI drones are extremely user friendly. Solid choice!
@@TRONCATFPV I’m now using am mavic mini and it’s THE best drone I’ve ever had
But now that I wanna get more professional with drones I wanna upgrade
I have enough time to perfect my flying skills on my mini because saving up will take a while
But that wait is totally worth it to me because that’s gonna be a great drone to fly I think
it's not that much to get into FPV - just start cheap and go from there.
@@NOT_ANOTHER_FPV the problem is I’m have a VERY small budget so saving up for stuff takes pretty long and noun saving up for an Dji air 2s and that isn’t cheap
would the 5 mm thick arm durable enough?
It’s considered a tank for 5”. Yes a little heavy but more durable than 4mm and less.
@@kibbycabbit nazgul is 6mm. So I would hope this frame eventually go with 6mm.
@@IamG3X Wow, I wasn't aware about that!
What other frame does have xt60 fixed?
The only other frame that I have that has it is Betafpv's pavo30 pro
most iflights have it
Where I can buy the coaxial cable?
the coaxial cable is available through speedybee's site
Was it a DJI brand? Curious.
@@kibbycabbit only for previous version of the air unit I think
DJi O3 for this shit doesn't fit because the camera wires are too short
On the V1 frame you need an extended coaxial cable, on the new V2 you don't.
@@TRONCATFPV You already know my opinion on V1 :)
