Glad I came across this, I've been with werner now for 6 months, my mom just started with WE, basically they only teach 1 way to back and she was curious how to do a 45, so instead of trying to explain it my self I'm showing her this wonderful video
Well hello fellow Werner driver!! How cool you and your mom both started this new career (even if she went with WE ;-)). Happy our video was helpful!!! Thanks for watching! See you out there on the road!!
@@TheJoyofTrucking oh she'll be with werner soon enough. 6 months time her and I will be teaming. Be safe out there, and like wise I'll see you out there as well
Great job! Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I just got my Werner truck yesterday! "Bugsy" is a blue, older Kenworth like Kenny Riggs, and I couldn't be more thrilled! Hope to see you out on the road some day soon. Happy 2022!
Good job Tonja. Oh, and you too Kevin. I like all the explanation that goes along with the video. It's interesting to know what's going on in the truck driver's head when he's planning and backing his trailer into a spot. And also why he's bending over, looking at this and that, and the other detail. ( and by-the-way, I've done one of those "happy backing dances" more times than I can count).
You made it look easy, good job. Did you have to slide your tandems? If not, what/when do you have to slide your tandems all the way back during loading/unloading?
Thanks!! If you keep the tractor attached you don’t need to slide tandems. If you put it at a loading dock and detach tractor you should move tandems back. Some distribution centers ask you to move tandems back when dropping empties. Sometimes they have you do it at the gate. That makes it harder to maneuver.
Good video looking to get into trucking in 2022 at the age of 56 it's been something I always wanted to do thanks for the motivation 👍
Our pleasure!! Definitely a dream you can achieve!!! Let us know how it goes. :-))
Crazy skills there. Making it look easy. Have a good and safe weekend.
Thanks!! :-))
Unlimited pull-ups in the real world 😂
Yes!!! :-)))
Nice! Big blue symphony in motion! The big yellow trash can wasn't even an issue. . Slow and steady wins the race! Thanks for the demo!

Awesome!!! Congratulations!!!! Yes! Hope to meet you on the road or more likely, a terminal :-)) And Kenny looks forward to meeting Bugsy. 😁
Getting caught up on old videos. You've come a long way Kevin, great video
Thanks!!! We sure miss our Kenny Riggs. Sure you can relate. 😢

Thanks Wesley!!! Glad you enjoyed the format! And the dancing! Lol. You two can work on a choreographed dance. 🕺🏽🕺🏽
The turn radius on that KW is outstanding!

Lol!!! Rush! Where’s that beer?
@@TheJoyofTrucking offered to go out for a beer with him. But if he is in cdl training I think I will just offer dinner.

I’m looking into going through roadmaster to get my CDL and starting with Werner. I’m very excited to start a new career working and driving.

Good 👍.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Is it optional or mandatory to have your tandems all the way back when you park at a dock?
Depends on the shipper or receiver. Some require it. Some don’t.
@@TheJoyofTrucking thanks
Maybe it's just me but I found it when hes just talking the camera was not pointing in the direction we need it at the time He was talking
Nice.
Thanks! :-))
So the difference between a 45 degree backing and the 90 degree backing is the 45 u have more Space to work with and the 90 is less room to work with
Yes! Exactly!
nice shirt.
If ever feel you want to leave Crete Decker would be more than happy to have to
Why don't you get your cdl? My girlfriend got hers. I think it's more enjoyable if only slo drive so we can actually spend time together
Glad works for you guys. We’re not interested in team driving. I, Tanja, enjoy doing RUclips and other things.

I think its a serpentine back to the dock...
set up was wrong at the start .
alot of unnecessary turning going on. set up better less need back and forth
Constantly improving. 😃
NO G.O.A.L., TENDEMS NOT ALL WAY BACK
🤔
The tandems aren't all the way back so this is useless
🤔🤔🤔You’re still backing up…
@@TheJoyofTrucking yep I've been here for a week trying to get this truck in the spot lol 🤣
