I just saw the other day that Ford made their auto more popular because the mt 82 manual sucks so much. I believe the camaro upgraded to a tremec transmission and the dodge uses both a tremec or a zf8. I love the coyote engine but honestly they kinda messed up here.
@@asvpxalex the new manuals? No probably not, the gearing is all messed up and 3rd gear les to blow up, the new camaro and challenger have gr at manuals though.
@@asvpxalex If you love to drive a manual over an auto then I would recomend getting the manual. Any transmission can fail if you push it hard. Even some 10 speed autos have had failures on the mustang when they were pushed hard. It is part of the pay to play rules. If you feel the transmission bind and not want to go into a gear, don't jam it in anyways, that is how you blow up the gear. Just back out of the throttle and let the RPMs come down while you leave it in neutral untill the load is off the transmission. Once the load is off it will go into the gear smoothly and you won't have bent your forks or grenade the gear. If you plan on tracking the car spend the money on a aftermarket transmission brace and that will keep the trans from binding under high load. If you are still worried about the getrag in the GT buy the Mach 1 it comes with a Tremic transmission. I have a 2019 Bullitt and love driving it. The transmission has not had any problems in the 34 Months of ownership.

I am currently driving my 3rd Mustang GT that I have owned, a 21’ GT PP1 6 speed in Oxford White with that Showstopper red interior. I have also had a Gen 6 Camaro SS and and C6 Z06, an 07’ in Lemans Blue. So I’ve owned a handful of American Modern V8’s. As I said, currently driving my 3rd GT. There is a reason why I keep coming back to it. The Camaro SS was a great car with more torque down low. The Z was an absolute monster with that LS7, 505 HP and only weighed 3100 lbs. a beast! However , for performace and day in day out drive ability with modern tech and convenience. The Stang beats the SS and the Z06. Not to mention, the S550 18’ forward with the Active Exhaust is the best sounding car under $100k that you can buy new today. Name a car that’s sounds better and revs this high for under $100k. You can’t. This is a legendary Mustang…
I have a 2016 convertible. The last thing I would want is the performance pack. The chassis is floppy enough with convertible. The stiffer springs would only stress the chassis and fatigue the steel over time, making it even floppier. The v6 has the softest springs so the chassis will be less fatigued. And it still is very composed around corners. It is a fun car. I drove the competition pack. With the stiffer springs, it was all over the place. The softer springs in the v6 actually is more composed and can take real world curves better because the suspension can get out of the way of the bumps.

It goes up to speed so quick that you can never really redline through all the gears without going too fast. That's great for track driving but kind makes you always feel like theres not enough road for fun on the street. Used to own a 6th gen civic si which was unfortunately somewhat slow but, because it was slow I could enjoy pretending like I was racecar driver, redlining to a screaming 8000+ rpm all the way to 5th gear while still under 120mph. Super fun. It was straight piped with a takimoto resonator. 99% of civics I have ever heard sound like dogshit but, I guess the resonator made a huge difference. Enjoyed the video, you are the most relaxed GT driver I've ever heard. Nice run down of everything. You kinda lost me when you chose comfort steering and then said it was numb. I mean it's comfort so yeah. Try sport! Much more fun.
I test drove a performance pack last week and was surprised by how good of a cruiser it is and also how bad of a sports car it is. Body movements are wallowy and mushy, during hard driving the car constantly teeters on understeer until it doesn't, then it threatens oversteer. The revs rise and fall slowly and the shifter feels like its ready to grenade at high RPM. But its so smooth and relaxing, very easy to drive and cruise around in.
I m going from owning a 2016 mustang v6 3.7L for almost 2 years and i loved it... Do you feel like the 10 speed is a giant difference in power almost like you need to re-learn how to drive because its too fast ??? Please reply, thank you! I subbed.
21:00 So change the steering setting and quit complaining about it. But seriously, going to ink the deal on a blue with white stripes 2020 gt convert with perf pack and live exhaust tomorrow. This vid was the turning point.
I understand his point about driving slow in cars. Sure a Hellcat is faster, but I'd rather have this where I can rev the engine with a manual and enjoy the experience without being on the constant edge of panic.
@@joshuamccormick5497 Yeah . I'd see no joy in driving something like that. I think the mustang has a good balance of out and out speed and livability.
@@weirdshibainu Agreed, I think any car over 500 hp is actually overkill for the street or interstate. In the words of Car and Driver, go slow, have fun.
The suspension is probably all over the place because it's a convertible of a car that has torsional rigidity of the body comparable to cars from 20 years ago in the coupe version, so cutting the roof off probably makes it as flimsy as a wet noodle, so they had to make the suspension soft and dampers kinda soft too.

I just know I will likely regret it if I purchase the Accord, despite all of its positive attributes.
Probably already bought the mustang I hope but just buy what you really want.
which car did you buy?
This car drives amazing
great reviews, you review em all, especially the more underrated cars that tend to be overlooked by the mainstream reviewers. can you include the songs that you play during the bose sound test? cheers
Oh my GOD I just love that color and seat accented red and black
Enjoyed the video, you are the most relaxed GT driver I've ever heard. Nice run down of everything. You kinda lost me when you chose comfort steering and then said it was numb. I mean it's comfort so yeah. Try sport! Much more fun.
I’m todally getting this car
I test drove a performance pack last week and was surprised by how good of a cruiser it is and also how bad of a sports car it is. Body movements are wallowy and mushy, during hard driving the car constantly teeters on understeer until it doesn't, then it threatens oversteer. The revs rise and fall slowly and the shifter feels like its ready to grenade at high RPM. But its so smooth and relaxing, very easy to drive and cruise around in.
You probably had one with the magnaride suspension. Put it in Sport mode and the suspension will tighten up. The rev behavior will change as well.
@@DanielBlaney The car was wallowy in any setting. Driving the performance pack back to back with a 1LE feels like two very different classes of cars.
I m going from owning a 2016 mustang v6 3.7L for almost 2 years and i loved it... Do you feel like the 10 speed is a giant difference in power almost like you need to re-learn how to drive because its too fast ??? Please reply, thank you! I subbed.
@A C As I said in the first sentence it was a performance pack, equivalently priced to a 1Le.
The Mustang has always been my favorite muscle car, but I can’t stand how they completely cheap out on the convertible tops year after year.
I hope they make it a hard top soon..
This car is a blast to drive
Exterior color says Yaaaaawn, interior colors says BANG BANG! 🤷🏽♂️🤣👍🏽🥂
Man it sounds good, it’s sad the mustang gt convertible is only available with the auto in australia but at least theres a manual fastback
21:00 So change the steering setting and quit complaining about it. But seriously, going to ink the deal on a blue with white stripes 2020 gt convert with perf pack and live exhaust tomorrow. This vid was the turning point.
I love how the screen in having just a casual seizure.
You het alot for your money with the mustang gt almost 500 horsepower amazing!!
I'd have to go with the Bullitt version if I'd get a 5.0 Mustang
The new mach 1 is pretty sick.
The only mustang driver not to crash
Iv never been a Ford guy....but i must have this car!!!
Ive never driven a convertible but boy does that look sexy
I understand his point about driving slow in cars. Sure a Hellcat is faster, but I'd rather have this where I can rev the engine with a manual and enjoy the experience without being on the constant edge of panic.
Doug DeMuro drove a guy’s 6 speed Hellcat and damn near crashed it shifting into 3rd or 4th gear lol those cars are stupid powerful
@@joshuamccormick5497 Yeah . I'd see no joy in driving something like that. I think the mustang has a good balance of out and out speed and livability.
@@weirdshibainu Agreed, I think any car over 500 hp is actually overkill for the street or interstate. In the words of Car and Driver, go slow, have fun.
this is the bast 5.0 interior OPTION I ever seen
I just bought a 2020 Mustang GT coup with the manual and the PP1 in Twister orange with the black accent stripe. The MSRP was close to 50K
Yep, they're also quite a bit heavier than the coupes
Great video man I’m 16 and I would LOVE IT if you did a regular Dodge Challenger RT or RT shaker not the scat pack if you could that would be amazing thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼
If your looking to buy an RT, DO IT. :) Super fun car and plenty of power.
Camaro comes with HUD and sunroof but visibility holds me always back; drove a 2014 model and man i felt like hiding in a bunker. These new rounded hoods is not my thing now; i like more the bullish style from MJ 2011-2014. On rain you can see fumes coming out of the vents from the hood ...tht´s soooo coool !!!!
Man I'm learning all kind of words. 😊
I love your amazing driving
Mustang Ecoboost Performance Package is still my favorite ultimate cruiser. It's fun, stiff, lighter front end to whip around, and you can actually shift through gears without getting a felony. The GT is just way overkill you cant even use it
