This comment hit me hard. I was depressed and burnt out for a year and one day I randomly discovered Brewstew. It was the first time I started laughing in like 6 months. I wasn't watching any shows or movies. I told my ex and begged her to watch it so many times. Then a drunk driver rear ended the bus and we didnt get to go home for like 45min after transferring us all to a fresh bus.
I never thought the _Bill Nye_ theme song could work so well as stripper music, but Colby proved me wrong. Man, the days before ADHD meds became normal were wild.

Even if the teacher did something like encourage it, you still decide whether or not you dance on top of your desk. The only time I can see a teacher being responsible for a student getting hurt is if they smack the kid or leave them unsupervised with dangerous equipment, which would only apply to young children.

I taught him how to operate the blinds in the window...a decade later he shows up at the bakery I worked at. He wanted to buy a cake but only half. I sawed a frozen cake in half and sold it to him. Holy shit it was. The u diagnosed ADD came in 3 common flavors: "contained by parental corporal punishment", "well meaning but tooooooo active", and no self control because no parental guidance like Colby.
Lot of us just got ass whoopins ... I didn't even know what ADD was until I was diagnosed with it at 18 years old I was sent to a military school and they made all of us test for certain things and I found out I had ADD ... I didn't use medication because at that point there was no real point
Remember back in the late 80s 90s even the early 00s. Special Ed class? in my grammar school they were on the 3rd floor. Everyone knew if you were on the 3rd floor you were damaged goods. They weren't like kids with autism or down syndrome or anything of that. They were simply the kids that had a few loose screws,ADD ADHD and just plain bad. I remember one field trip we went to go see a Disney play on ice and the special ed kids kept throwing snap pops and launching paper clips with rubber bands at the actors and my whole school got thrown out the theater and we didn't get another field trip untill highschool

The teacher pleaded the rest of the class multiple times to not give him attention when he acts up. Unfortunately the rest of the class included multiple bastards so they wouldn't help the teacher in any way. It was an awful time pretty much for everyone.
Ironically when we went to school, we got in fights and they turned out better... Who woulda guessed a little discipline worked? Even if your parents didn't, your peers did it. And no not bullying... That's it's own issue... but sometimes the class clown had to learn.

I was a troublemaker from kindergarten up until about third or fourth grade, but my perspective shifted drastically when I went through something (rhymes with "main answer") between my fourth and fifth grade years. I soon transformed into a studious student who would make an effort to treat everyone with respect.

Exact same story for me except I WAS the worst kid in the class. In grade 2 my teacher didn’t really care and let us do whatever we wanted and so I never listened and I always did crazy shit like that. Eventually it got to a point where the teacher just let us sit at her desk and play games on her computer with headphones on. Fast forward 7 years when I started in grade 9 a couple of old friends from that class I didn’t know well talked to me about it and honestly I kind of forgot all about grade 2 until they reminded me.
In 4th grade this kid Keith was the Colby but the one day he flipped out in the computer lab, the teacher tried calming his ass down and he slapped her hand and told her "GET YOUR DIRTY HANDS OFF ME!" Pretty soon principal shows up and tries reasoning with him then Keith put his hands over his ears and yelled "LEAVE ME ALONE!!" well we all about split our sides laughing when principal Kennington hoisted Keith over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and hauled him to the office. Before they exited tho Keith wrapped both hands around the door jam and goes "NO I WANT TO GO TO COMPUTERS NO, NOOOO!!!" 😂 in this high pitched voice it was epic the school cop carrying Colby off like luggage reminded me of that
I can relate. Kid in my 2nd grade class would pester everyone, misbehave. Few times he would even take a dump and smear his shit all over the bathroom walls. Cut to freshman, and he is pretty nice to everyone.

To be fair...I WAS the Colby of my 2nd grade class. Now that I'm 31, I'm still grossly immature, but at least I don't do crazy stuff like that in public anymore. We all learn and grow over time. My immaturity is I still laugh at fart jokes😂
The whole video was hilarious but I completely lost it with the dance sequence. The animation was so smooth and Bill Nye theme was the cherry on top of this hilarious sundae.

Exact same story for me except I WAS the worst kid in the class. In grade 2 my teacher didn’t really care and let us do whatever we wanted and so I never listened and I always did crazy shit like that. Eventually it got to a point where the teacher just let us sit at her desk and play games on her computer with headphones on.
Fast forward 7 years when I started in grade 9 a couple of old friends from that class I didn’t know well talked to me about it and honestly I kind of forgot all about grade 2 until they reminded me.

In 4th grade this kid Keith was the Colby but the one day he flipped out in the computer lab, the teacher tried calming his ass down and he slapped her hand and told her "GET YOUR DIRTY HANDS OFF ME!" Pretty soon principal shows up and tries reasoning with him then Keith put his hands over his ears and yelled "LEAVE ME ALONE!!" well we all about split our sides laughing when principal Kennington hoisted Keith over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and hauled him to the office. Before they exited tho Keith wrapped both hands around the door jam and goes "NO I WANT TO GO TO COMPUTERS NO, NOOOO!!!" 😂 in this high pitched voice it was epic the school cop carrying Colby off like luggage reminded me of that

I can relate. Kid in my 2nd grade class would pester everyone, misbehave. Few times he would even take a dump and smear his shit all over the bathroom walls. Cut to freshman, and he is pretty nice to everyone.
