I had an experience similar to this one. I was a pizza delivery driver way back in the early 1990s. The shop I used to work for usually closed at 11 PM, but the owner tried extending the hours on Fri and Sat to 4 AM. Usually, those shifts were not bad, but one night my boss decided to let one of his friends take incoming orders on the phone. Well, instead of stopping at 3:30 AM like she was supposed to, she kept taking orders right up until 4 AM and it was busy for that last 30 min! So, like Brewstew, we had a f***-ton of pizza to deliver and I was the only driver left on duty at that point. I cannot remember when my last delivery went out, but by the time I got back, cleaned up the store and punched out, it was past 6 AM!
The best experience is not having watched brewstew for like 5 months, then rediscovering his channel and re-binging all of his videos.

I had a similar experience as a Pizza Hut employee. Worst night for me was when our brand new manager didn’t do any prep so we literally ran out of pizza dough at 5pm on a Friday. We were legit just making pizzas out of the breadsticks.

I will never forget working Mother’s Day 2018 in a restaurant; it is the only time I’ve ever come close to crying on shift. We had done a special brunch all morning (like it was an asian place so I had no idea idea why we were doing brunch of all things), and we jumped straight into dinner with zero time to prep. I literally went through every single ingredient in my prep drawer and had to prep stuff on the fly while the waiters had to relay how the customers were mad at us for taking so long. Two employees got into a fight during the shift and my boss had to yell at them to shut the hell up; one later quit. The only thing I had left after the carnage was a small container of chopped green onions, and that was it. It was rough.
I love his comparisons. I was tempted to lick every pepperoni like a goddamn postage stamp. And then the licking sounds had me rolling
I was sick and this video really made my day, thank you.

Hey Brewstew, just wanted to say (as it’s long overdue) but your videos honestly helped me through my WORST ever part of my life. I worked for a retail company for 5 years, 3 as management and it was absolutely horrible, I don’t know why I didn’t leave, guess I feared I’d never find another job. Lost my uncle to suicide and aunt to cancer during the last year of me being there and the only thing that got me through it somewhat was your videos, especially the Airsoft one. People say RUclipsrs are not important but you honestly are. I’m much better now and work in a much better place and I’m much happier but it started with your content. Thank you for all the laughs over the years I’ll never forget it ❤️

I bet a lot of people had pretty much the same experience, Tyler. Back when I was 19, I finished a crappy night of work in food service and walked out to my car to find myself interrupting an ongoing break-in. Guys didn't finish taking out my stereo, but ran off with all the CDs I had in the car. I just kinda sat in the driver's seat thinking about how I pretty much had my entire day's pay stolen because I bothered to show up to work. I haven't had someone break into my car again, but since that night, I won't keep anything in my car that might be appealing to steal.
Having worked in a restaurant... This was GOLD!

Love your content brewstew! My worst day at work was also quite hectic. I work at my local zoo selling tickets at the front gate. One day during spring break, I decided to come in to help on wednesday, despite it being the only day of the week I didn't have class or work. That day, these lines to buy tickets were beyond insane. I had a hard time believing that this many individual people actually exist, and that the majority of them had to be NPCs. One lady in line demanded that I sell her a season membership, despite me telling her several times that memberships are only sold at a special window on the other side of the entrance. But the real bad part came at the end of the day. The zoo does a "Code Adam" when a child goes missing, meaning that employees must close all the gates to the zoo so the kid can't escape. Since it was near the end of the day, there was a huge crowd of people trying to leave the zoo. I had to stay and guard the gates while my coworkers helped the police and parents look for the lost kid. These people were beyond angry and started screaming at me to let them leave the zoo despite me telling them multiple times that its a company policy put in place to protect the missing child. Thankfully the kid was found relatively quickly, because if it took any longer, I would've most likely been injured by the crowd. Thankfully my job doesn't usually get this hectic, but I must ask that if you are ever in a public place when a Code Adam is called, please understand that it is a law put in place to ensure child safety, and to please not yell at or attempt to injure the employees who are required to enforce it.
Just wondering why is it called a "code adam"? Is it named after someone or is it just a placeholder / generic yet specific name for convenience?
@@GayKermit-._-. I looked it up and unfortunately adam was a real child who was killed after getting lost in public. They named it code adam in his memory to hope that nothing like that ever happens again.
I work at a clinic and our code for missing kids is code amber
we got one about a month ago and same as your policy we had staff at all entrances/exits on all floors and we can’t let people in or out
there were a handful of patients who were mad because we were making them late for their appointments and even though we were reassuring them that they will still be seen by the dr we are just following policy they were still upset
the police did find the girl, she was across the street at a school parking lot, idk how she ended up there
