The way of no guilt of "doing nothing", of stopping and evaluating my life and listening to my heart. OMG...how do you do this, Kyle. So freed by your message. I've had a relationship, married for 35 years; it's a comedy of errors and an all's well that ends well. My friends and colleagues are cross-eyed with the humor of it all. Yep, growing and growing and changing every moment! lol
This seems highly simplistic to me. The true journey, the true happiness is internal. Almost no one will change the world or find ‘greatness’ in the external world. Actual happiness comes from embracing your true self and understanding that you, all of you, are beautiful beings exactly as you are. You don’t need to create a song or a car. You need to find love of self. You need to be ok with who you are. Michael Jackson wrote the music that he did because he was abused by his father and used as a tool for monetary purposes. He was blessed with musical ability and channeled his pain and anger into beautiful music. But he died because of it. He deformed his face because of it. He lost his self because of it. He had to live in his art, because it was the only place he found affirmation. It was the only place he was himself. Find that in your own life. As a friend, as a parent, as a person, as a beautiful human, just the way you are. The reason Kyle stands on that stage is because he knew what he wanted to do and did it and I commend him for it. Find who you are from inside. As he did. And be happy with wherever that takes you. And if that is a trailer park in the Midwest, then that is ok. Be happy with who you are. Greatness is internal not external. Be the best person you can be and never feel ashamed for who you are and what you have been through. You don’t need to do more. You just need to love yourself. Everything else will fall into place.
