ROAR POV On Ride - Six Flags America, Maryland
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 ноя 2024
- Take a virtual ride on ROAR at the Six Flags America amusement park in Maryland, near Washington DC. This GCI-built roller coaster is one of the companies first, and some of the current shaping of Great Coasters International can be seen in many of the turns and hills. Ultra HD 4K POV, front row. #SixFlags #POV #RollerCoaster #SixFlagsAmerica #WashingtonDC
ROAR hits over 50mph and features an 85-foot drop from 95-feet in the air. The almost 3,500 feet of track still provides a quite smooth ride and, while some airtime hills aren't the strongest, it is a must-ride when at the Six Flags America theme park.

Six Flags America, ROAR on-ride front row POV. HD Video.
The thing that surprises me most is when he says, "That was a quick dispatch." Not a phrase I ever expect to hear at Six Flags America.
One of the most underrated rides I've ridden. Just ride in the front, and it's not too rough, and laterals in the second half are just crazy.
Good to know
"It's not bad at all"
*painfully screams*
😂😂😂
That “oh no” at the top of the Hill was all we needed to hear
Lol this ride isn’t bad it’s just a lot of drops and you feel like a bobble head cause it’s shake so much but after the first drop it’s fun
Well, there's also that "No, it's not bad at all" at 0:43 and "They fixed it" at 1:03... and they have. It still has one rough patch at around 0:55, but even that has been improved and isn't too bad for a wooden twister. I personally love this ride for what it is.
This is one of those few rides I feel runs best in the cold
Roar has a great layout but is a headache waiting to happen. They should RMC this immediately!!!
Sadly, it most likely will never happen
No it is an amazing rife
yeah i got a headache yesterday from it
If RMC would only RMC the rides everyone wants RMC’d:
Roar and grizzly
(Honestly that’s just my opinion that’s what I want RMC’D)
Anyone who wants Roar RMC'd can please kindly go to Discovery Kingdom and ride the one they already RMC'd. Please leave this one alone.
Now, if you wanna RMC the other Hurler at Carowinds, have at it.
This is amazing! The Beast at Kings Island has always been one of my favorite coasters! Thanks for this wonderful Foot Age of it
..... you mean roar right..
This guy just trolls on all my stuff all the time lmao
I thought it was Mean Streak
I thought it was T-Express
@@AmusementInsider This the same guy who commented on your I-305 video that he just rode it, and was heading over to Volcano and Shockwave next?
Just rode this today. I love roller coasters, but this one damn near gave me a heart attack. lol
My favorite coaster at sf America. Its fast, loud and rough
A full GCI re-tracking (maybe with some steel titan track for the rougher bits) and some newer GCI millennium flyer trains would do this coaster good. No RMC’ing necessary, especially if GCI Re-profiles a lot of it to make it smoother, faster, and have more sustained airtime. Totally doable, and probably at half the price of RMC.
Best wooden roller coaster evr
As time has gone on, I appreciate this coaster a bit more. I'd say GCI Titan Track over RMC iBox would be the better way to keep this running good.
I went on that ride for my first big roller coaster and let me tell you😂... it was so bumpy and I even passed out😭 “but it was fun at the same time”
A awesome coaster
I know I'm comparing steel to wood and am dating myself but not even Drachenfire threw me around as much as this did, and it got shut down, do not attempt unless you have a fistful of aspirin
Was fun when it opened for the first few years, than way way too rough, it use to be my home park.
My heart dropped on this ride today 😂
This ride could use some Titan Track
this ride was epic when it first opened. now it feels like being punched in the kidneys by prize fighter.
I came to this video to relive my childhood memories, this was my favorite coaster as a kid. Sounds like the wear and tear has left it more like The Wild One was when this opened.
The oldest operating GCI after wildcat closed
This was my first big coaster I ever road… also the only one 😅 not a big fan, but it was fun looking back.
Roar closing on may 28th 2027 farewell to Roar
Where’d you hear that?
Rode this with my sister a few months ago. Oh my god, it was awesome! Advice for anyone who wants to go on:
DONT wear glasses, Hold on tight, Have fun (ofc), and be warned, it thrashes you back and forth.
This ride hurts my legs so much but i love the layout.
This needs to be RMC rename it Rage
Headache: The Ride
What do you film with the quality is amazing
Just went on this today and it’s intense (at least to me) because I felt like the lever was gonna come off and I just held onto the grip for dear life while my head and spine ratted.
I went on this in freight fest in the dark and I was the only one in the row and sheesh this is very bumpy and it was so dark so I couldn't see what was coming next
also I was near the middle
This was the first wooden roller coaster I rode, having done so on October 7. It was a very fun ride, I must say. Lines were short that day, and so I even got to ride it a second time almost immediately after
DAMN! I guessed gold striker on your ig post!
To everyone saying RMC this, it happened at Discovery Kingdom, my home park. As good of an RMC as the Joker is, I still miss Roar as a woodie. It was, and is, one of my favorite wooden coasters I have ever ridden. RMC it if they want, but the wooden version was better, imho.
there's a reason nobody liked this comment
@@dangerdoge4113 actualy 5 people did
rmc waiting room
No not every wooden coaster on the planet has to be rmc'd or have GCI re track it
@@joshuakent8176 this one sure needs it, do you see how rusted those tracks are and the deterioration of the wood supports? How that’s still up to code blows my mind
@@dannymorgan7252 i think a gci hybrid retrack might get used
This thing needs to lose those heavy PTCs and get Millennium Flyer trains...that along with some retrack work + reprofiling some of the hills would make this a solid coaster.
@@joshuakent8176 We never said every wooden coaster on the planet needs to be rmcd.
The pacing on this thing is INSANE
Great POV! Could I please use this with credit in a review for Roar?
Yupyup
I can feel the jackhammering through the POV... ouch 🤕
I went on this last week it destroyed my back
ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH NO AT THE TOP OF THE HILL!
I can see myself riding this
1. I believe this is the only GCI coaster than still runs with PTC made trains.
2. Oddly enough, this coaster runs better in colder weather.
3. I'd like to see some kind of makeover (either an Iron Horse or Topper Track RMC conversion, Titan Track from GCI or whatever new thing Gravity Group is doing).
Yeah i can attest to early gcis running well in cold weather, as Wildcat at hershey park did
This coaster has a decent layout but it needs some help. Topper track would work great here, provided they can keep using the original PTC trains. Wildcat at Hershey never should have switched to Millennium Flyers.
This should be rmc’ed
Unpopular bet better opinion: No. No it shouldn't. But a GCI retrack would be nice.
Went on it yesterday and it was the most painful ride ive bee on. I’d ride it last so your head wont be hurting all day
I’d probably be that one person screaming at the top of their lungs when it’s just going up for the drop💀
As other people mentioned this ride is way too rough compared to how it was before. Maybe it’s getting old and need proper maintenance. My legs were hurting, and I had headache throughout my day after riding this. My favorite is firebird and super man!
Remember riding this the summer it opened five times same day. Couldn’t have been smoother, basically for the time felt like getting to ride an RMC. Then I rode it 5 years ago... kind of sad to see how rough it’s gotten.
Please can you pass me a folder with a hybrid coaster is that in nolimits 2 they do not come out. or the version of the game you have please
My first roller coaster ever back in 2011/2012, wow time flew 😂😂😂😂😂
Eager to give this a re-try I’ve heard a lot of people who’ve gotten really good rides on it recently maybe my opinion of this ride will change
I had an amazing ride on this in the front, I thought it was very smooth and had some great airtime and laterals
I was literally at Six Flags America yesterday but I don’t think I saw you
And this was my first CGI coaster
A+
One of most underrated GCIs
Velour Watts I rode it a few weeks ago. The roughness is what makes it so much fun. It's actually one of the more intense gci's I've ridden. It feels so out of control. (Remember I love rough woodies)
@@invertedthrills144 it's also the longest GCI in America
Coaster Roaster yeah it feels like a very long ride
It has no airtime
@@invertedthrills144 that’s what she said
This should get the new GCI Titan track
I went on this and it’s crazy fun
My first roller coaster, and i didnt scream surprisingly and i did this to try to prep myself for the Superman, i didnt do the superman tho sadly.
They used to have this same one at Discovery kingdom
Six Flags America being my home park can they please just do us one favor and turn this giant splitter into a RMC?!?!?
No
@@seaworldfan2421 Why it would satisfy so many people and it wouldn’t cost that much
@@The8BitNerd I love the old school gcis
@@seaworldfan2421 Well I can see that, but this is kinda like the Magic Mountain Viper situation. It has it’s fans, but the general public wants a change
@@The8BitNerd viper better stay
I Been On This EXACT Ride, I Could Not Feel My Legs After.
i went on this today it was fun
bro when i went on this i literally cried
Funny to me is the "Who makes this? I wanna say GCI but that's not right. I'll remember when I hear it."
No you won't, apparently.
(This was GCI's 2nd coaster I think, after Wildcat in Hersheypark.)
I haven’t rode this GCI since like 2005 😂
epic
Is there airtime on this gci?
There's some in the second half although laterals are more the focus
I remember going to this ride in 4th grade for my field trip I only got on because of my friends I never had tiers coming out of my eyes
Tiers- you should go get that checked out. It’s not normal for tiers to come out of your eyes.
Instead of that crap stand up they made, they should've spent the money RMCing this.
That "crap stand-up" used to be Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America, and has since been converted to a floorless and rebranded as Firebird. Well worth another ride, if you last rode it as Apocalypse.
Roar is the Same Ride At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Which got RMC’d from Roar to Joker 🃏.
Do you have a Jokers Jinx pov?
Yes it will come soon 😃
Wait there open now
RMC needs their hands on this coaster

What's the lifespan of the wood?
People say Boss is a good coaster when this looks almost as good as it and the crap on it, I do not understand
i dont need to tell you who the "wooaahh!" guy is
He sounds like that rude douchebag from Theme Park Review, Robb Alvey lol
@@davidng2336 I said he “sounds like” him. And Rob Alvey is a top tier douchebag
@@davidng2336 I’m pretty sure one thing that defines someone’s professionalism and kindness is how they treat people or his/her fans.
I will show you Alvey’s rudeness in one interaction I had with him. So, one guy was trolling or telling him he was “annoying” or something. He reasonably replied to the troll like “I don’t really care, I can do what I want”. That makes sense. I came in and replied to him saying something like “don’t feed the troll, he’s just trying to annoy you. Don’t waste your time with the troll”. He responded with “thank you, but I really don’t care for your help, go away”. I mean, wtf is his problem? I was trying to be kind but... it’s Robb Alvey.

Fun fact: my first roller coaster was this
I went on that ride rlly bumpy
The ride hurts like ur shaking so much in this ride
you coasters are better than six flags over texas

Me and my friends got on this ride and most of the passed out😂
I will always say it... The WRONG Roar got RMC'd!!!
This ride was very bumpy the first time I went on it
The thumbnail almost makes it look like Roar got re-tracked. Sigh, maybe next year. 😕
Probably never cause six flags Hates this park
It did get retracked
