The F14s in the movie are real, supplied by the US Navy. They did belong to the Jolly Rogers Squadron, the same Squadron that starred in the movie "The Final Countdown". Appearing here in Executive Decision was one of last official acts of the Jolly Rogers before they were disbanded upon retiring the F14.
My Dad worked as an air traffic controller and this is his favorite movie. He showed me it the first time in August 2001 and 5 weeks later 9/11 happened. Scary how visionary this movie was.
What an interesting job, I'd like to learn more about it, is so complex and interesting
Cappy (the injured bomb expert) was played by Jow Morton. Miles Dyson, inventor of Skynet, in Terminator 2, and Magic Scientist Henry Deacon in the TV show Eureka.
Thank you for reacting to this underrated suspense thriller. I enjoyed it. The game you were trying to think of is Operation...a childhood favorite of mine. Also at the end of the movie when Kirk Russell's character asks Halle Berry's character if she liked hockey and she replied that she likes baseball, there's an inside joke to that. At the time this movie was filmed, Halle Berry was married to baseball player David Justice. Stay safe. Buenos dias. 🤗
Ahhh I didn't know about Halle's husband! I knew the name of the game in spanish, thought it might be something different in english lol
The airline is named Oceanic. The same airline (same logo and everything) was used in the TV series Lost.
this is the most underrated film of all time
People were squirming in their seats during that final act. Great suspense.
That landing at the end of the movie is crazy
I wonder who will pay for all that lol
It's not radiation, but chemicals. The beepy thingy is an electronic nose, essentially, that smells the vapors from the explosives. I've worked with similar devices.
Ahh wow, how interesting!
Hey, I found another airplane-type movie for you, 1997's "Turbulence"--See what happens when psycho killer Ray LIotta takes over a plane--his performance is over-the-top and it was a big hit in the movies. I knew you'd love this one, too--keep up the good work, Senora Hermosa!
"Sicario" with Benicio dél Toro is another great movie. 🙂
I would rather not react to a movie that shows such a dark side of the Mexico - US border, specially with cartels and stuff like that, might watch it on my own time tho, thanks
awesome movie, great cast
11:05 Up to this time, I had watched Steven Seagal movies, I knew he would somehow survive. When this happened, my brain stopped working for a few moments.
Yeah! He was part of the never dying heroes of the 80s and 90s...
There's an interesting side story to this movie. According to John Leguizamo on the first day of shooting Steven Segal informed everyone that he was in charge of everything with no questions asked. Leguizamo thought Segal was kidding any he didn't take him seriously and just laughed but before John could finish laughing, he said Segal elbowed him directly in the chest knocking the wind out of him for apparently questioning his authority. To this day John often mentions that incident during interviews and jokes about how Segal runs very awkwardly in his movies. Reportedly Segal has or had a reputation for being a bully on set to other actors at times
Ohhh I can totally see that, he looks like he is like the kind of characters that he plays... just like I said in the movie "their way or not at all" not a fan lol
Wait a minute.....Steven Seagal could run !?!?
Always fascinating to listen to someone who knows what they're talking about! 👍😃
This is one of the best thrillers ever.
I did enjoyed it a lot!
Yes, I've seen this movie
Scored by Jerry Goldsmith, like that other aviation related movie, Air Force One.
If I retake the channel, you will get a reaction to that one :)
I was routed to your channel because of your Encanto reaction but I subscribed because of this reaction video. This is among my favorite movies from the 90s. Maybe a reaction to Air Force One, if you have not seen it yet. Very interested on checking out your other non-reaction videos
Welcome tequilero! Most of my movie reactions are aviation related (Air force one is on my list) but now and then will do other kind of movies, either cause I feel I have a special insight or special requests :) hope you enjoy the channel
I enjoyed this. Have never seen the movie but it looks good, and I appreciate your insights. I would vote 'yes' to Catch Me if You Can, loved the movie and even saw a live version on a tiny stage in Nashua NH. Very minimal sets, cast, but they pulled it off. Thanks so much for persevering to get this video done; I even liked your captions near the beginning. Buenas noches
Haha thanks, id a different struggle every time lol that play sounds fun. Check out the movie, it was a lot of fun, even if you now already know the end lol
Kurt Russell is (was? I don't know how it works with age limits and re-ratings) a real pilot, licensed for multiple aircraft.
I had no idea!
Another great reaction to a fun movie (Airplane with guns .the ending was similar)♥️
hahaha yes, I knew it the moment they showed him taking flying lessons lol
In case of kidnapping do nothing? Seems odd considering united 93 on 9/11 where they saved countless people by trying to take the plane back though it cost their lives. What's most interesting to me is that the actor playing the head terrorist in this movie also played a passenger in the 9/11 movie Diverted. Should react to that one as well. It is really good. Both of these movies are insanely underrated. Too bad about the first part but good reaction. It took you a while but yeah the animosity between them was because his friend got killed on a mission based on intelligence the other one provided about the nerve gas that wasn't there
In case of a hijacking where there are demands, not like 9/11 wher they wanted to use the plane itself as a weapon :) I was of course speaking about this kind of hijacking. I reacted as well to United 93, check it out ;)
@@TequilaPrincessMx cool. I will. But as a passenger how do you know the intent?
Talking with the flight attendants is a good start
Hi. So, in reality, the little fighter jet, the F-117 does not have a hatch on top to pass people thru. But, this is Hollywood and license to exaggerate. 😊
It's fun concept though, it would be super hard to achive but fun idea lol
@@TequilaPrincessMx And, we've always liked this movie and because Leguizamo is in it and we think he gave a great acting performance, but also because he got his start at stand-up comedy! Nice, right?! Shout out to all the other actors, especially Halle Berry. 😎👍
Its literally explained that it was modified so it could pass crew members to bombers in mid flight and had never been tested properly in the air except in a wind tunnel.
Adorei sicario!
Sicario? Eu não entendi
@@TequilaPrincessMx des
Desculpe , me enganei
Eu acho que voce leu o nombre Sicario en otro comentario :) disculpe mi portuñol kkk
The Air Marshall seemed pretty useless I thought
There are military planes that can refuel each other at high altitude, & so It might be possible, in the real world, nothing like this...flying wing is required to attach itself to other Aircraft, so who is to say?
Poor guy, it was 1 air marshal, underarmed, against too many terrorist...
@@TequilaPrincessMx Hs could have made himself known to the...SWAT team, earlier, & they could have worked together. if memory serves the stewardess had told him they were on board. before they took the plane
very true
I love u, u are so gorgeous and intelligent all in one package, wow
