Man, people out there talking about "Swatch ruining a brand" & "how some other RUclipsrs will think this watch is trash..". Dude, to each their own, if you love it, get it, if you don't, stay away from it. Frankie obviously likes this watch, so who's anyone to tell him his wrong about it. I personally won't buy it, but I see the appeal and understand why a lot of people would love to own one. Stay healthy and positive out there!
Yeah, such a toxic mentality. Why the hate, it’s just a watch, let people have fun and enjoy their hobby. No need for gatekeeping and this negativity. Real watch lovers appreciate watches in all shapes and forms. If you don’t like it, don’t buy one, easy.
Went to the shop to see these in person and was pretty disappointed. The simple design of the Fifty Fathoms does not look good in Bioceramic. The chunky case and shiny bezel make it look like an oversized child's watch. And I'm actually a happy owner of 4 MoonSwatches, so it's not like I'm biased against the material.
Really stunning, the Antarctic is the best one IMO. Too bad the movement can't be serviced, and it's basically a plastic watch, while Blancpain is actually committed to protecting the Oceans.
Agreed it’s stunning! Yeah the movement aspect sucks, but this is really more of a consumer product than an actual watch, which is how I’m thinking about it (like any piece of tech we spend money on).
No swatch was ever serviceable. That’s nothing new. And all moonswatches sold until today are not even one truckload of plastic - 29grams for the moosnwatch, let’s assume 2 million sold, makes 58 ton, less than 1/3rd is plastic, so that’s 19 tons of plastic waste. England alone produces 1 million tons of waste a day, the world uses 1 million plastic bottles a minute. It really makes no difference. Plus some part of this watch is actually made from recycled fishing nets so it might end up net negative for the oceans. Since most of these watches will end up in either a landfill or burned at the very end of their life. So the oceans might actually benefit from less plastic…
@@frankiewatch I think that the green would match your olive complexion much better than my pasty white skin tones. the antarctic one matches my grey hair. haha
@@aravindvenkateswaran5294 Interestingly it does feature Sapphire on the caseback. But the front glass is not, no Swatch is as far as I know. $400 is what I paid for leather strap for my Vacheron Constantin - without buckle, just the leather. Same for a rubber strap from AP or double that and you can buy the ceramic buckle for a Blancpain nato strap. So I don't think that price is crazy for an entire fun to wear watch. I am wearing a G-Shock GMB2100D-1A today - that costs $550 $150more than the Scuba Fifty Fathoms. But what really counts is how many fun you get out of your watches - it's the only measure. I can happily wear a GMW-B5000-TVB or my SkyDweller. Wear what you like and don't poopoo on other peoples choices. We are all watch lovers after all. No matter how big the budgets is
I have a Ceramic Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe but certainly will add one or two of these watches too. They cost half of a Blancpains NATO strap with ceramic hardware. 😂
@@RELiKtheStudio who says so? I had many swatch watches in the last 20 years and they all seem last longer than I want them to. 🤣 Sistem51 also ticking fine after more than 2 years.
Simply a hype watch plastic piece of shit for those who can't afford the real thing. It's also for those who aren't willing to put in their own homework and research to find an actual watch worth having for far less than $400.
Disagree, I have a real one, still like this for what it is - a fun watch for the pool or other everyday wear. Sure you can buy other things, but shouldn't;t we buy what makes us happy? I can wear a G-Shock or one of my expensive watches - I do have watches from $10 to over $20k. No matter how much "research" you do. It's not the specs alone but how the watch makes you feel. Held actual watch this morning. Feels REALLY cheap, and REALLY nasty. The mineral glass feels like it won't last long. And the colours. Looks like it's been designed by a colour blind deckchair designer. For me, it's a "no"! But you may love it.
This is such a shortsighted comment 😂 you do realize that sales of the Omega Moonswatch went UP after the Moonswatch hype right? More common people not in the watch world are aware of Blancpain now than they ever have before and I’d say it’s a good thing. This coming from a watch expert who deals with multi million dollar watches from F.P Journe, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Rolex and more. Stop this elitist mindset already it’s exhausting 🤣🤣🤣
@@frankiewatchElitist mindset? Swatch is just expensive crap. For the same price you already would get real quality elsewhere.. I would rather buy a Chinese copy. Much better quality - much lower price.

How’s the queue?
It’s done! All sold out, but despite the 3.5 hour wait was a great time and made some new watch enthusiast friends on the way! 😅
Cool..your country is very fortunate to have release today. Here at the Philippines, not yet available at swatch store
And in Estonia there is not a single Scotch boutique😭😭😭😭😭
