Thanks bro! That was exactly my point! This is the first time so many have even heard of this brand, and I think it’s an amazing thing. Thanks for watching! 😃
Clearly another marketing strategy to get people interested in the luxury versions of these watches. It’s just sad how much they cost for the quality you get. This is maybe a $100 watch that they are charging $400 for.
I don't know normal sistem 51 swatches range from $160-300, and this one has a bunch of extra things like crystals and rotating bezel so it may be priced slightly higher than a typical swatch but not really and easily justifiable in its price increase...
50 fathoms is on my mind in recent years. And this thing is what i want. Hope this really can submerge and the movement is serviceable or at least replaceable at reasonable price.
$400 and its made of plastic, non serviceable, and nearly double the price of other swatches with the same movement. I wanted to like this but this isn't worth it in my opinion
You keep saying 'Blancpain'. That is NOT a Blancpain in any way. None of the processes were conducted by or at the manufacture. Aside from the appearance of the brand and model name and a smattering of the patrimonial design language, this is entirely the domain of Swatch. Get real.
I agree with this being a genius marketing stunt, but I’m still puzzled why people are willing to spend 400 dollars for the delivered quality (I don’t expect this to be significantly better than the MoonSwatch). For that money you could get a great watch with great materials and finish elsewhere…
It actually is great marketing and will undoubtedly make the real watch more popular. I personally wouldnt wear a plastic watch but who cares? This makes watch collecting more approachable and will open more doors for people getting into the hobby.
I just got mine 5 days ago. The drift is under 5 seconds (keep it face up when not in use) so far and the reserve is 90 hours. Love the color, love the lume. I'm super happy with this one, Frankie.
Living in a world and time when people are praising a company for its marketing instead any actual contribution to watchmaking. People like you keep companies complacent in making overpriced plastic re-issues, nothing original from a design or mechanical aspect.
Agreed bro! And yes for me green is the most striking color combo, although I will admit the white Antarctic is probably the most stunning of them all! I’ll probably wear on the NATO for the first few weeks, but eventually plan to throw this on a tropic rubber strap, which I’m sure will look great! 😃 Thanks for watching!
Nice… someone that understands the point of this watch… trying to search RUclips about this watch and all you get are videos of watch snobs saying “you should buy this instead, but do what u want with your money”
I agree to the marketing aspect you mentioned. The Blankpain and Omega colabs were great ideas. Im sure its made swatch a truck load of cash. The green in hand looks better than the green in print I think. Strange that the date complication is not common on all of them. What sort of strap would you replace the nato strap with? A black rubber strap is probably the obvious choice.
I’m already thinking about a zodiac tropic strap to match with this one Brad! It’s going to look amazing! And glad you agree this is truly marketing genius 101 right here! Will share soon! Thanks for watching!
Hehe thanks bro! It was definitely a crazy but fun Saturday picking up this watch! But it seems to have done very well for my small watch channel so I’m happy! 😃
I love the blancpain reverse moving pictures and would never have been able to justify spending blancpain money when there are other watches in a lower price band that I could justify more. Now, I will have one, albeit a spin off, still a piece of wonderful, well though out craftmanship!
I can't believe the watch is unserviceable. Hopefully it lasts a few years before it dies. I wonder how hard it would be for Swatch to allow you to open the case back and keep the watch working indefinitely, like every other mechanical watch.
I thought the back was removable, but the system 51 is not serviceable, but my understanding is Swatch has made it so you can just drop in a new movement when needed, but I could be wrong.
Someone on RUclips said it was hermetically sealed but hopefully they were wrong. It certainly looks like it has a case back that is meant to be unscrewed but there's a possibility that is just aesthetic?@@simply_psi
@@nsq_0000 I did...I bought a Swatch made from bioceramic a couple of years ago and was not impressed. It was a pretty shade of green though but I don't remember the model number or name. Especially because I cant service the system 51 movement.

You compare the action of this plastic bezel to a Blancpain, you are out of your mind.🤢 On the back is not only a animal it is a individual snail of the 🌊 ocean which is presented on the watch. It is a swimming watch not a diving watch if you jump into the water you have already more pressure on the watch👎 By the way it would be nice if you talk about a Blancpain to mention that it was the first brand with a dive watch long before trash Rolex presented the submarina 😮
I have held an actual watch this morning. It looks and feels REALLY cheap and REALLY nasty. It's a cynical exploitation of naïve people. It's plastic, with no real waterproofing. I would suggest that there is absolutely no risk of being mugged for this watch. They might chase after you, to give it back?
I am just waiting for the Rolex and Timex crossover - the RolexemiT which will be a quartz plastic take on the Deepsea. Be killer watch for 2k and probably easier to get than an actual Rolex…
Poor Blancpain. There is now a plastic piece of rubbish with their name on it. What a pity. A hard-earned reputation and the world's first real diver. So pointless and in terrible taste. If I was considering buying a real 50 fathoms now, i would definitely think twice.

Same shit different name on the dial. This trashy creation by Swatch only degrade the name of the brand and to pay $400.00 for this trash made out of plastic with a movement that can't be serviced is crazy, but I guess there are plenty of people out there who doesn't care about money; 5 years from now that piece of garbage will end up where it belongs, the trash can.

300ft watcher resistance, so goes about as deep as an Oris Diver’s 65 😅, yeah maybe it’s not ISO certified, but I totally would have no problem diving with this one 🤣🤣🤣
i like it alot , but each colour is just so wrong - they give me the ick each one. even when i try to like one enough to think about a buy but just cant do it they need to go back a get someone who know his colour mixing and is not from IKEA
You really need to see these in person to appreciate them. And I’m not even saying the Indian Ocean is the best, it’s definitely Antarctic (White). Thanks for watching! 😃
Congrats. I agree, Blancpain has never been on so many people's lips before. This colab is fun
Thanks bro! That was exactly my point! This is the first time so many have even heard of this brand, and I think it’s an amazing thing. Thanks for watching! 😃
If you want a plastic toy, fine, otherwise spend your money on a Seiko or Citizen ISO rated dive watch. Even a Casio Duro would be a better buy.

It is serviceable. These guys are assuming it’s not based on other watches that have them sealed in the watch.
Thanks for sharing man, but the price, damn, I just got a Samurai for less, damn.
This is great for Blanpain, all things considered. That bezel action is fun.
I wasn't so sure about this watch when I first heard about it but now that I have seen it, I'm really liking it.

Needs a long term review… hopefully it won’t have the same quality issues as the MoonSwatch
I won't never buy one for the reasons we know, but I can understand your enthusiasm...Enjoy your Swatch.
Well done. Love the green the best. Would be better on a black rubber band. Brilliant marketing benefiting two brands.

gz and I agree what you said. Nice marketing move. Was also true for the MoonSwatch for Omega. Now the Gen Z know what Omega is and now BlancPain ;)

Well done great watch 👍👍

The plastic on an HM Aeron is what I'd associate with top-quality plastic, not on this toy watch.

Blancpain may be on people’s lips now, but they still cannot afford one.
