Usually not a fan of decals but boy do those ever work nicely!
Original wheels looked awesome.
Great job with your Custom work on the Datsun 200SX Amazing Paintjob and very cool wheels and tires.
Rob you knocked it out of the park with this one great job
Looks very nice in white. 😎
Wheels fit very well for this kind of sporty Nissan.
Always liked older Nissans and Datsuns and these older metal on metal Hot Wheels cars are cool too.
The decals on the white is what makes this car. Its so cool. Come on 2000 likes!
Man, I really really love that casting. Nice work customizing this one Rob
I had a white hot wheels with details on the side. Same car with the gold wheels. Your restoration brought back a lot of memories. Nice job Rob! Another one for the swishy swish collection.
This was my favorite casting growing up! It started off yellow and ended up white...and then red.
The decals remind me if the nose art you see on World War 2 fighter planes...looks good to me...Scott
Fantastic! Really looks great 👍. Since owning my 300ZX, I've really developed an affection for Datsun/Nissan. Love the show.
The boy racer has come right to the surface on this one.
The wheels suit the styling of the car perfectly ................... Thumbs Up
It looks great. The original car looked weird with out the details. Once you painted it and added the details it actually looks like the real car. Nice job
Hi Rob,what a wicked model, the wheels suit the car 👌,the paint and transfers made it totally different.
That decal really suits the finished product, as do those wheels. :)
Another fine job, Rob. :)
the white really suits this great job
Oh yes, inspired choice of decals! Really like that
Memories of Cars Past! Well Done!!
Excellent job on the finished product!
Looks great! I sent you some pictures of the 200 SX that I attempted to restore on Facebook messenger. I think you guys get more variations of Greenlight wheels than we get here. Those wheels do look great on that car
Great decals and wheels! Super cool result.
Seriously love this one and awesome outcome! I have one of these and planning a more vintage jdm paint and wheels..great job on this 200 sx!
Love the shark decal, its a great white Datsun
Oh man, another of my childhood favorite die-cast cars. C'mon 2000 likes!
Love the flash back. It looks great 👍.
Looks amazing Rob, excellent work as always my friend.
Love the shark decal 200SX. It looks awesome in it
Wow, I really like the decals and the wheels!
old stories great..those where the days
nice and shiny again, love the wheels. they look just right and not overdone. ^^ a real street racer. ^^
Had to pause and grab my Datsun 200-SX lol it's the same color as this one started. Your finished product looks amazing as always. Going to be doing an unboxing vid soon, still have not opened the Mustang I bought from you.
Nice job 👍.I had that car when I was a little kid.
Great job! Nice color and detailing! Decals looks good to.
Nice one on the painted bumper mate! Sorry know I made a comment about that last one and on camera at least this one looks 100% better to be fair!
Take care
Wow, that looks great. I'm usually not a big fan of white cars, but it suits this one. Also nice decals. Great one Naughty Rob Toretto. 😉
🤣
Great job... Always love the tiger sharks
Very Nice Datsun 200SX Custom 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nice restoration and paint job 👍
Very cool 😎, looks like you just cracked it open . Great work as always.
Huge improvement. Way to go!
Ww2 fighter nose art, looks good 👍
There is a white variation of this, but yours looks much cooler!! Nice.
Matchbox Garage rules !!
I love the look of this car keep up the good work
great job on this car Rob
Nice work! It almost reminds me of a Hot Wheels Real Riders.
Love the way it turned out.
Fantastic job there.
Great job Rob 👍👍👍👍
Really looks sharp
Very nice one! I love these "boxy" cars :-)
this was amazing buddy!! looks awesome!! Happy New Year my good sir!
Bang up job! Those wheels are perfect!
Beautiful custom Rob!
Wow that looks amazing
Wheels are a perfect fit for that model. Car looks classy in white and as always just enough detail work, some people just go overboard. Can't wait to see what others you have chosen to do from the unboxing.
Really like that White paint job, not so much the shark teeth but those tires and wheels are primo!
Another amazing job.
Very nice job as usual Rob
As a fan of the original use of that decal, I approve of this custom very much. :)
I scrolled pretty far down and didn't see anyone mention this, so, just for fun: This casting resembles your old Silvia because it _is_ a Silvia--Nissan always gave their cars numbers for the North American market instead of their proper names in the Datsun days. (See also the Z cars, which were called "Fairlady Z" in Japan.) The 200SX was a US/Canada-spec Silvia S110, the model before the S12.
Good job I wouldn’t mind it myself 👍🏻
That's an unusual one Rob. It almost looks like a Matchbox. Not like HW to copy them, usually the other way round.😁
awesome job rob
OK you're mature, but are you still naughty??? Never grow old!
Sometimes 😉
Great project!
Well done Rob! I had one of these cars in my Hot Wheels collection as well. Lovely job on the restoration and wheel choice. Certainly a favorite.
Good job Rob excelent
Great car ,nice job 👍
Thats pretty cool
Nice work keep it up 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
Beautiful job, as usual!
I'm not surprised that you would be happy to keep that Rob, it looks great.
Very cool
The white paint and wheels suit this car, Rob. The decals are crazy! Brilliant!
The sunny gtr was a fast little car and it was held in high esteem and then they released the uno turbo and the rest was history as they say ✌✌✌
The 200 SX badge I think was for the States but I sure over here this was called a Silvia.
In the u.s it’s the 240sx with the two litre rb20det engine over here it’s the ce18det and Silvia is the Japanese brand name like the fair lady brand . I owned a s13 200sx and raced a s12 silvia .
@@tarlebrown6338 fyi the rb20det doesn't exist with that model....
Nice!
Overall great job. Just not fond of the decal. But still, great job.
im not datsun collector but this great car
Beautiful car, great wheels, very nice job except for the decals... 😟
These cars are fast on orange track, stock and in good condition of course...lol
The before car Looks like one of the cars from the mobile home park near me. 😁😄😄 they can't afford repairs.
I had one of these when i was a kid and missed the hood!!!!
I like the color and wheel swap. Not a fan of the decal choice.
100%
Lovely result, Rob. One small point, and it's Mattel's fault, not yours, as it's there from the start ; I've just dug mine out, and it's the same - the fit of the windscreen is atrocious - the transparency is about 1mm too narrow, leaving a triangular gap either side. But it was designed as a toy, let us not forget that.
Have you ever had a Matchbox 1971 Nissan Skyline GT? They released one a few years back, and, although you couldn't open the bonnet, there was engine detail under there. In fact, there were two variants: they could only be told apart by looking at the driver's seat. If it had harness detail on it, then there was a turbo lump under the bonnet. If no harness, it was a normal engine. Both are worth looking for - it's a really beautiful model.
I’ve had a couple of these, a white one and 2 gold ones, and on the gold ones, the fit was bad for the windshield.
Yeah the window is a poor fit
@@MatchboxGarage I’ve never noticed that on other models, except a Greenlight vehicle I have where the side windows popped out. Their quality control isn’t too good at times, and I’ve had to superglue pieces like bumpers back onto the vehicle.
Cool 😎 Rob. Nice job. Good one to hold on too for yourself. Side note - how many do you actually give
Away in the end?
I think I have given away about 6 or so
If you come you to the United States you'll find a whole bunch of cool cars There is a guy that has a Nissan Gtr 32 with a Corvette Engine
What is the link where you got the green light wheels
I use modelmatic.uk
Hey wait a second did you say S12 silvia ok then i know that hot wheels did in fact made the casting for 86 or 87 year release so it looks like you may have to find one for your collection and nice job on this one anyway i got to go bye now.
Have you ever thought of running a bead of super glue around the base of your wire wheels to extend the life of them?
It stiffeneds the wires and becomes too aggressive
Darned if you don't, danged if you do...lol
The issue with with using the cheap wire wheels is two fold. It takes more time with them, means using the Drexel longer shortening its overall life, and I'm sure the sale of accessories funds development of new and better tools. Copies are not always a bargain they seem to be.
I have that hot wheel car and the decals look awful. Your car looks so much better.
I managed to successfully rescue a white one from my brother's friend, who was a spoilt little attention seeking vandal, that would occasionally smash up his own toys, rather than donate them or swap them.
Some 37yrs later I will admit I managed to distract him enough, so he didn't notice I pinched it from his pile of "condemned" cars about to go under a claw hammer 🔨. "Forgive Me Father, for I have stolen, but I was trying to save an innocent toy from slaughter"
Sadly, I've misplaced it and haven't seen the car since the later 1980s & maybe I just lost it.....
Well done but I would have saved the Hot Ones Wheels.
Love the build!!
But I admit I'm not a fan of the wheel decals. Too pronounced and they lack the finesse of the rest of the work. Just my opinion though.
Fantastic 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
ugly decal... ugly wheels... good job...
Nice!
