@@derjoh1986 evo xs are heavy asf compared to the rest of the evo's, they weight around 3500lbs at stock, at most u can get to low 3000lbs and that's it (that requires ALOT OF STRIPPING of the car tho, usually only drag not track and drag)

Zr1 could use some driver weight reduction.
Jimmy Miotke it had a good 450 lbs in driver/passenger weight so yeah that doesn’t help. The wing cant possibly help at the top end either.

Everyone saying that the ZR1 is a track car are making excuses. The ‘19 put up a disappointing Nurburgring time that was beat by both Mercedes AMG and Porsche. There is something wrong with that car. Maybe it’s the programming, gearing, weight - something - but on paper, it should’ve smoked those cars. To say “it’s a track car” is no excuse. “Track” cars need low end torque to muscle out of the curves fast. I think the McLaren 720s would smoke the ZR1 on any track, any weather, any time - because McLaren got it right. There is something amiss in the engineering of the ZR1, and it needs to be addressed. Videos like this do not help the sales of the ZR1. Nobody in a car like that wants to be looked at as sub par or slow. I would be pissed if I bought one.

The zr1 in white looks so nice. I’m impressed by how well it looks in white vs that bright orange. As far as straight line performance it’s not all there. On the track now that’s different.

You people saying the ZR1! Is a joke really need help. For one it’s the ZTK package which has a thousand pounds of downforce, this isn’t the 214 mile an hour aero standard. Therefore the car is penalized for out right speed for track time. Secondly it’s something wrong with this particular car. There are videos of the ZR1 racing supercharged huracan to a tie. No problems in ZTK form look at the texas racing channel. Anyway all othe cars have far less aero so they cut through the air much easier and y’all celebrating what a joke
First of all, it only makes 950 lbs of downforce at its top speed which is 202 mph with the big wing. The viper ACR's top speed is 177mph with 1700 lbs of downforce. Think about how big of a difference that is and you will understand that this wing on the ZR1 is not really holding it back in a qtr mile race or short roll race.

bboydrae the zr1 seemed to do more runs then the other cars. It was most likely heat soaked and wasn't making as much power as it should've since it was over 100 degrees out
plus the supercharger is a POS
xStaman Eaton superchargers are really good actually, and they're cheaper then whipple which is why dodge, Chevy, and ford have switched over to them. It's just whipple has a better cooling system and doesn't get heat soaked as quickly. Yes, whipple also tends to make more power with tune. But Eatons also make a shit ton of power with tune

The down force is the main issue here. Not helpful in straight line esp at high speeds. Also using paddles and the heavy driver.

I remembered the last video wrong, I thought he didn't beat the 570s by that much but I just looked at it again. My evo x is in the shop getting the motor built and a FP Black turbo so these kinds of videos are super exciting but I'll still be like 200whp less than this guy

The Benz GTR 0-60 IS 3.5sec, quarter mile is 11.6 STOCK! ZR1 0-60 2.8sec, quarter mile is 10.3 STOCK! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE ZR1!😑 I think the ZR1 was running hot from racing back to back and lost power because of it.💯🤓

EVO´s are not designed to go straight - it makes me sad to see the concept of an street legal rally car destroyed by uprgades it was never built for. My Evo runs fast around corners - especially on wet tarmac gravel or even snow. Thats why its got its AYC differential. Doesnt need 1000 hp to be faster than every "supercar" ever will be on surfaces when u first of all need the DRIVER to be fast.

Props to the ZR1 owner for getting out there and continuing to try. Many would be cry babies after losing a couple times.
That Huracan used (Dragtimes) is probably a $200k car so market value of the two isn't that far apart.
And people need to learn to understand that using the paddles will lead to slower acceleration not quicker. The paddles are there as a sporty form of shifting, that's it.
Yup, as a Chevy guy I am a bit disappointed. But props to those other cars, they were awesome. Remember though, that's a bone stock ZR1. Higher stall with Drag Radials, and a better driver would have made a big difference off the line. Was also disappointed wen he asked the ZR1 driver for a few free revs at 12:25, those revs were week af....

Honestly the zr1 is impressive being it cost less new for new then an amg gtr and a huracan but for some reason it seems like it makes maybe 700hp.With 755 it should have walked away from the Huracan and the amg gtr from the roll races.Is that wing really holding it back that much? Idk that specific vette needs to be put on a dyno. There’s a video of a C7 ZR1 being completely even with a supercharged huracan on 3 different runs. That ZR1 is performing like a Z06

I really like the ZR1 but it seems to underperform. Same with the Ferrari 488, underperformers both of them. With its power rating and weight it should walk away from AMG GTR and Huracan, but it cant, and that is a shame.

That Mercedes is a fucking mean green racing machine.... but don't get me wrong, I'd take that Corvette any day of the week. So much more tuning ability and aftermarket options. Plus look at the other videos on the channel with the vette . There is just no comparison in the corvette exhaust sounds nor the feel of that insane American muscle torque and speed. Makes hair grow on your chest instantly, and I'm a jdm guy btw lol.
Corvette guy needs to try roll races with the trans in performance shift mode. Put car in track or sport hit the gas pedal to floor fast and release, the trans will drop 1 to 3 gears and be in performance shift mode. Let it shift on it's own once in this mode no paddles. It makes a huge difference.good luck.
