You have so many great skillets. I've watched the whole playlist, some of them 2 or 3 times lol. That #10 Griswold is on my "I Want It" list. I have a #10 "ERIE" 2nd series. I think I have 10 vintage iron skillets and 11 modern skillets and just a couple other pieces.
Here I am again admiring your collection. Most people don't realize what high end cast iron they are looking at. What I wanted to tell ya is those corn stick pans are mislabeled, they are really brownie pans. If you'll add nuts it looks like dog poop. Oil and preheat the pan then add the brownie mix, they'll be crusty on all sides. Ya really haven't had brownies till you've had cast iron brownies. Good luck collecting. PS I got my first high base Griswold American waffle iron last Friday. I had low bases but not a high. I found a large slant logo Griswold #4 in Tellico Tn. this spring. As I was saying before Griswold/Erie are more scarce in SE Tn. but occasionally a blind hog finds an acorn.
Fantastic collection. I live in SE Tennessee and seldom see a Wagner or Griswold product. I find more BSR and 3 notch Lodge than anything else. They both cook fine but I would like to have more Wagner and Griswold in by collection.
I am kind of at the crossroads here. I see the great lakes iron as well as the southern iron. My dad was kind of a Griswold snob so he didn't buy much of the "no names" as he called them. I however really like the southern iron. Especially the BSR and Martin stove and range. They really have unique qualities about them. Thanks for watching.
I use a combination of equal parts grapeseed and avocado oils with about 25% beeswax. I've used products like crisbee and buzzywax and they work fine but I found it was easy and more economical to make my own.
Yes, they are rare. My dad got one of the Griswolds at a estate sale for $100. My brother got the other one for $26. The Wagner was bought cheap as well. We are lucky to have them. Thanks for watching.
lmao Starts with "these are pieces I keep in the kitchen for everyday use" 10 Griswold, 9 Griswold, 9 Erie, another 9 Griswold, another 10 Wagner. Stopped at that point. This guy hasn't used any of these skillets...maybe found a good deal or most likely inherited and has no clue.
@jimmyfreeze3782 Yes, you got me. I do have a lot of pieces, so obviously, I can't use them all every day, and as I stated in my other videos, they are my late father's collection. So congratulations on being right again. However, the part about never using them and doesn't have a clue? I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, but you're clearly very intelligent, so you should already know the old adage about opinions. Have a nice day, and thank you for not watching.
