The harmonica and the piano made sense, but I was sad when George didn't do something funny when he saw John with the sitar.
And the Banjo, the instrument he first learned. Also, in a 1970 interview with Rolling Stone, he said if he was given a tuba, he would find a way to make music with it, so that also made sense.
And Lennon played saxophone on a few songs, like Helter Skelter.
