Cut the lower hose to make removing the rad easier and just replace the hose. While at it, replace the clamps with screw type hose clamps set at the correct angle to tighten with a long screwdriver. And no the bumper doesnt need to be removed.
I am looking at a 2007 Altima project car. Rear crank seal (between engine and transaxle) leaking. Car really not worth too much. Not sure I wanna tackle this for a resale project. My garage is very small so little room between front of car and a wall. Maybe 6 feet. I am still tossing idea around. Lol. This at least shows me what room with rad out there is.
@@PhillipBailey Yep. I realize that. Not sure if it is accessible from the top or has to be dropped underneath. Either could be done by me. I just don't think it is worth my time. I miss the old days when you could pull a engine or trans out right in your driveway between a few beers or coffee. Lol.
Thanks a ton! Replacing the radiator on my 2008 Nissan Altima coupe! This was a huge help! Even have the leak in the same spot.
Glad it helped you.

Great work easier to remove condenser but less expensive if you don't
Love this!!
You don't have to remove the bumper to change the radiator, just remove the front grille only
is there any details how? thanks

Rad removal won't help with the rear engine seal in my opinion. You need to remove the transmission to access the rear main seal.

Did the radiator bracket clips slide right back on mine are not clicking even ordered new ones and they still don’t click
I dont recall having any issues with them sorry.
I unbolted the lines that go to the ac condenser, and now I do not have cold air, even though the Freon is holding, does any e know why?
So you let the refrigerant escape? How did you recharge it? Is the compressor clutch engaging? Pressure sensor on the condenser is plugged in?
You need to vacuum the system then recharge. otherwise you opened big invoice to change the AC clutch.
Do you have to evacuate the freon then recharge it ?
No I did not disturb the refrigerant
How did you get the bottom hoes off the radiator ?
Used a hose clamp tool to release the clamp and then twist and pry it off
Even radiators aren’t easy lol
On these Altima the RAD and CPS crank posi sensor are a Pain!!
To much work to replace a radiator.
