OH MY GOD. I've been hoping for decades to one day see footage from the Steel Wheels sessions. you made my dream come true. I went to bed at 3:00 am because I couldn't stop until the end. I hope it will be on youtube forever. Thank you my friend. It's wonderful.😍🥁🎶🎸
Wow!! What a find!!! Actual footage of The Rolling Stones recording Rock And A Hard Place and Mixed Emotions from the Steel Wheels album. I stayed up until 3:30am to see this whole thing because I’m not sure how long it will stay up. Hopefully, lots of other big time Stones fans will get to see this. The first 36 minutes are just them having drinks with significant others and other people working on the album. You can skip that, but I strongly recommend watching the rest. You will feel like you are in the studio with them.
Got to help build the stage in Jacksonville Florida. It took two twelve hour shifts one week to complete. They treated us like royalty. They fed us every night. They had two tractor trailer with kitchens in them. Then they had a huge circus tent where we would eat. It was a very enjoyable experience. Then we got to watch the show for free.
So much patience to do one song my god😊they are so profficional all off them so intressting to see 😮now i understand it take time to do songs for one record..❤❤❤❤😂❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Es tremendo como Jagger le ordena la versión rústica y emotiva de Mixed Emotions a Richards creando la parte más emocional de la canción...You are not the only oneeee! Puro complemento.
Mr Watts was always a gentleman, his way of playing, his elegant bearing and his friendship with Mr Richards, I believe that you were the link between the Stones... I miss you, see you in eternity Mr Watts ✌️☮️✌️
This was such a great pleasure to view so many years later.I ghostwrote 4 songs for Stones April 1987,gave ideas for 2 more. Mixed Emotion,I'm out of tears,Love is Strong,You got me rockin'now...other 2 between a rock...pause...and a hard place,Don't Stop...just because that was my last words to them to never stop.Sent on tape.
Really interesting, and of course they're just like the rest of us humans ,whether its your church mates, biker gang mates,we all interact basically the same. Thanks for the upload.
Charlie plays better here in studio, than live later on tour when he was bit stiff. You can sense some tension between Mick and Keith though they write together well. Keith is bit high, slightly fuelled. I have never before seen him using talk powder on guitar neck, and i have watched around half million Stones videos. Keith also uses british english here occasionally, which he very rarely does. Stones write in the studio, like they have always done. Recorded fresh. Some bands rehearse songs well and ready to go before the studio, but that's not how Stones work.
I love when they go to enlist the Jojuka musicians innthe official making of album film. In a way Steel Wheels is a coming full circle with Brian album.
Mick is so full of it he has the greatest rocknroll band in the world and is holding them up asking for chord changes and counting down trying to be the band leader but the band just looks at him like "shut up and and sing"
This was the BEST!!! The album that made me a life long fan. I was 8 years old now 42 and still LOVE THEM💙🖤🤍
I’d rather have Charlie Watts with just a snare drum than any other drummer with a full kit.
Charlie never overplayed like many "lead" drummers and did what the song needed.
For sure.
Best drummer ever
That´s the fantastic and unique swing by Charlie and Bill that unfortunately is gone now.
Glad to see the production process of the classic Mixed Emotions. Keith rules!

Mee to I went to bed at 3:00 I couldn't stop until the end. 😂
If I recall, they were rehearsing for this tour in Washington, CT at a now defunct finishing school.
Keith you have the most magnificent voice and laugh!❤

found a demagnetized VHS on the balcony and decided to post it

O MELHOR Disco dos Rolling Stones in Studio is Stell Wells!!
Was at the shea stadium concert . With living color as the first band.
The Rolling Stones having dinner together LOL!! Really rare footage ;)
fascinating footage!...the last LP (Steel Wheels) with Wyman/Watts rock-solid rhythm section..... Never been bettered!
Saw the Steel Wheels Tour in Foxboro Mass. Stadium1989, with my wife and sons...cool...
Que bueno! Una excelente experiencia.
That dinner was more interesting than the rest of the video
Great document thanks for posting! Cool to see how Mixed Emotions came together and the Jagger/Richards creative process. And Charlie, what a rock.

Are you joking?!
What a rhythm section ! 👍👍
Charlie Watts so solid on rock and a hard place studio session!!!!
Lot off work to make so good music❤❤❤they work hard in 62 years🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Thats right, kids. In the 70s and 80s everyone smoked everywhere.
Love Charlies drums❤😢R.I.P.❤❤❤

The Stones create the songs directly in the studio
Amazing footage! The album that started it all for me at 14 years old 🥰🥰
I was 11. Good memories!
Awesome to see charlie come up with the ME drum intro literally 10 seconds before the final take lmao
love the Stones rough mixes.. they always sound better to my ears than the finished disc !
Real good record Steel Wheel🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
This is amazing! Wow.
Buenisimo esto man!
Los amo, Stones! Pablo de Argentina ❤🇦🇷
Les stones au naturel
Ouais. C'est une vraie pépite ce document.

Traducirlo...... Bondila
Jagger softly dancing… Interesting.
Gracias por subirlo loco! ya suscripto!
Viejo, esto es reliquia.
“ANYTHING that moves rushes to you Bill!” I love Charlie hahaha
Charlie & Bill … One of the finest rhythm sections you can ask for .
This video acts like it was so long ago it wasn't maybe to you?
Incredible video !
Rolling Stones the best in the world ❤👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Recruiting session? Interesting!
the Rolling Stones 👍👏✨🎸👏🔥👍

Rubbish.
Micks the leader But it Keith's band 😅
@@jeremywhakarau2403 That`s not your opinion, you read it in a book or interview. In fact we know nothing about the inner band.
@@philfrank9226 there words from god
Mick: “Give me some of that white powder will you please..?”😂
LOL
Good
Vamo los Stonne los Stone los stone vamos los stonee
1:23:15 is Mick playing Micawber?
Yes, and Keith plays Malcom.
1:15:26
Maravilha!.
Una joyita
17:10 It's all about winning hey Bill? Congratulation, you just insulted 20% of the reason you are here. Lucky it wasn't Mick you were talking to.
Jagger is a great guitar player don't you get a twisted. You don't hang around with guys like that and not know what the f*** you doing
Mick's been making the music and Keith's been along for the ride for almost 50 years.
Saw this tour
