I just accessed an ‘85 Elite 250 Honda (a TRUE) barn with just over 900 miles. Fully intact, parked in 1991 and that was it.

I have a 1984 Elite 125 and the same 1985 Elite 150 you have. Both run great and each has just over 6000 miles. The 1985 was partially disassembled with no carburetor and had been in the shed almost 10 years. The 125 is rideable already needing minor things. You have a great find there, I am still looking for a 1986 Elite 150 Deluxe to have all 3 models.

you took too much pride in your work.. you didn't really push it all the way in with lube the manifolds try out. make sure you adjust the valves too. yo ou should of kept the oem floats those china ones such i'm saying this because i've put 45000 miles on mine died with 62450 miles! i rebuilt my whole bike with je pistons that cost me $600! i'm an expert my piston spare is on ebay. your dieinig is due to not enough gas with that stupid filter take that off it was designed with out it. those bystartewrs are junk too ou don't need it. either nor the thermostat from china to get 62000 miles you need to run cold as ou can get it. they don't make the manifolds any more they have them but they are to big use super glue i had to push mine bike 5 miles due to the clutch blew up they get stick in there too and need greese i was buring belt every 3000 miles and back tires.
