I love old Honda scooters, I just hate the fact that there is no under seat storage. Sort of defeats the idea of owning a scooter which are great for short errand trips.

Nice work, you know your stuff I'm on the fence about getting one of these for a little under 2000 I feel like its too much its only got 125 miles on it but still
I did the same exact thing as you . Clean out the carb - add in a new fuel line . And it still wouldn’t start until I put a little bit of starter fluid in . It ran the whole day - I turned it on and off multiple times but the next morning on a cold start it wouldn’t turn on . Any thoughts ?
As much as I hate to say it, you will probably have to pull the carb again. A couple of possibilities...1) Double check the choke circuit and idle jet are clean. Depending on how long the unit sat, crud sitting in the fuel tank, fuel lines, or anywhere else starts to loosen and will gum up those circuits. I have had to clean carbs 2,3 and 4 times. Each time they have started and run and drove for miles, parked them and they wouldn't restart the next day. 2) Your auto choke may not be working properly, that will cause flooding and non starting. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
@@10footcustoms93 hahah yeah im on clean number 3 but ill give it another go. ive been told that it could be my auto choke. im new to this stuff so forgive me if this next question sounds stupid but in the scenario where i just clean my carb again - and try to start it without starter fluid - if it were just to crank again could that be due to the auto choke?
@ali if the scoot will not start while cold start cranking, but will immediately start with starter fluid, it is 100% fuel related. Did you by chance check your fuel tap for flow? It is vacuum operated.
In never hurts to check. On the super low mileage stuff I find myself working on, they normally don't require it. Nice thing on these I believe the intake and exhaust clearances are the same 0.05 mm or 0.002 in.
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Pretty standard process, every spring here in Ohio, even with fuel stabilizers added in the Fall. The idle jet orifices are so tiny.

For $2k there are a few other 125's I'd look at before a Honda Elite, just because Elites can be a pain to work on.
Under 2k?? You got stupid people paying more for electric bikes. This is a way better toy that will last forever.

If you do not have a fuel filter in the line, add one and change it often.

sorry the valve clearance
