For anyone considering the 7000 Series, you can not go wrong. Have had it in a 2008 v8 4Runner since March 2020, three firmware updates to date from Sony. Just clean software, runs great with android auto. Seamless Spotify integration. AntiGlare screen is clutch, if you need an amp, it has more than enough juice to power kickers in the doors. Kit looks great.

Great video. It's so hard to get a great looking aftermarket HU on this trucks. I had a double din in my challenger and looked almost OEM, but here the look it's not for me. I really want to get a pioneer or Sony, but I might take my chances with Dasaita just for looks

Do you still get the functionality of the buttons on your steering wheel? Also can you talk on the phone through your system for handsfree calling?
Yep, all steering wheel controls are retained and you can make and receive phone calls through the system!
Does this work with SiriusXm (built in setup) vs having to use an app? Also does this have Fm/AM

I’m actually now waiting for TGP to bundle the new Sony xav-8500 model as that has more features I am interested in.
Does it push more power to the speakers? I know you said the bass is better, but is it louder/better overall?
If you have a non-JBL amplified system you will push more power with our bundle versus your factory system. If you have a JBL amplified vehicle, your power will continue to push from your factory JBL amplifier.
Awesome! I am wondering if I could still use the Toyota factory map and GPS function on Sony head unit?
Thanks for your comment! The factory GPS will not be retained with this bundle, but you’ll have access to Apple Maps, Waze and Google Maps via Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Is this compatible with the OEMPlus upgrade with subwoofer?
Yep, it sure is. We’ve had many customers in the field install it no problem with the OEM+ gear.
Does this work with the stock back up camera in my 17 sr5
Yep, it sure does!
What happens with the "party mode" button after these head unit switches?
If the system is still factory the party mode button should function as it does now.
@@TrailGridPro so if you swap out the factory head unit for your Sony system the party mode still functions the same way as like a massive eq bump and sending more power to the rear speakers?
@@S0UNDC1TY Yep, the party mode button transfers power from the back seat door speakers to the tailgate when pressed. I have seen it on rare occasions where the party mode is just always enabled when paired with our systems - but in most cases it functions as normal.

Do you have to reroute the microphone?

Can you wire a amp to this head unit?
Absolutely!
Knowing Sony, a solid Japanese company, compared to these other head units such as T9 which may be Chinese and others, how would you compare yours in operation and function?
So, that's an amazing question. I've never used the T9 or Dasaita head units, so I can't honestly compare them to the Sony, but I can tell you that Sony's products are equally as great as the amount they care about the "customers experience" with their products - and about the "small businesses well-being" offering their products. Sony has been an absolute amazing partner and they back that up for small businesses like us and customers like you with a no-questions asked 3-year warranty on the Sony 7000 head unit, along with many other of their head unit products. It's clear they've been making amazing products for years, so trust really isn't a concern, but they go above and beyond in all the areas that are important to small businesses and customers (like you and me) that we always want - but sometimes don't get.
