Honestly the fact that most of them build a channel and get millions of people to watch them and stay loyal by themselves is something mainstream media could never do. Especially with the frequency youtubers have to put out content and they have no advertising it's not like new channels have ads running for months to build hype. RUclips channels grow and become popular because the person or persons work hard and make connections with an audience and fellow youtubers. Plus online you have hundreds of millions of people you have to compete with for views where as tv and movies are only competing with others in the same timeslot or the other movies that are in theaters at the same time. So yes it's nice to see that networks and movie studios recognize that they need to take Internet personalities seriously Jack is doing interviews which is a dream come true for him and Lilly Singh is now a late night host on NBC and her show is set to premiere in September.

RUclips is a way to get who you are and your brand out there and became "famous" what i mean is that mainstream media is just now starting to treat youtubers as equals. They aren't fully there yet, there is still a long way to go but just having a youtuber do a promotional interview for big upcoming movies is a huge step. It says that at least movie studios realize that they can reach millions more people by utilizing every resource they have which includes reaching out to RUclipsrs and saying hey do you want to interview these people, do you know want to come in and do a promotion you know stuff like that. They're starting to realize that they are a legitimate and successful form of entertainment and reaching people.
