My brothers 97 Audi A4 had been up here in Northern Vermont it’s whole life and was rust free, my Subaru had 130k miles (Vermont it’s whole life as well) and my brothers Audi had 200k miles. My father in laws 08 Impreza has more rust then my 07 Speed6, and Mazda’s are also notorious for rusting out. Let’s face the simple fact, that Subaru uses cheap steal and there bodies are poorly assembled, the paint and primer jobs are terrible, just like every other mainstream Japanese car brand. They are rust buckets. Don’t believe me? Come visit Vermont where more Subaru’s are sold per capita then any other state, and see the rust driving down the road
To me the Evo 8 and the STI are very similar in the winter. I've been lucky to have a interesting set of cars over the years. I always drive the toys once or twice in the winter just to get it out of my system. Then they stay garage queens until I sell em. But the lady bought me a clutch for my 06 STI since its stuck & so she can use the garage 😂
@@shawnupole9316 ok I can be more technical if you like. Evo engine is attach to the tranny then to transfer case moving front fronts then shaft connect to rear diff. That why it's more moving parts. Subby from what I seen only had engine connected to tranny is moving front wheel with shaft connecting to rear diff. Correct me if I'm wrong but that is less moving parts right. I got a evo x and I hate its drivetrain since I have to change out both fluids tranny, tcase and rear diff and also AYC fluid.
My Christmas present was my Toyota sienna AWD minivan‘s transmission went out on me while having fun. too much fun LOL they don’t come with a transmission cooler. so I fried my transmission!

Find a nice open place. Stay in first and play with the throttle. If you seem to be sliding out of control in a direction you don't want to try pushing the clutch in and pulling the e-brake. 👌👍
