A note to the developers from a captain of supply boats in the Gulf of Mexico oil fields: The tires around the hull of the boat are the boat's "fenders". They allow a boat to contact the pier, bulkhead and other boats with some force without damaging the boat itself. Aside from that, except for "Flippy" which seems to be a fiberglass boat, most utility boats are made of steel. It takes more than a gentle tap to a wooden pier to damage the boat. Stick to realism and don't rely on arbitrary difficulty to make your simulation challenging. Also, these are the best looking boat wakes I've ever seen in any game. The separation of the bow wake from the stern wake is something probably only a professional sailor will notice, but I see it and *well done.* Drae. Turn your engine off or put it in neutral when you reel in your lines. In reality, you would rip half the fish off the line by dragging it through the water with any kind of speed. Try it. It may work better in the game to keep a forward momentum through the water, but at least try throttling back to idle speed.
I mean, boats tap the pier all the time, right? Literally, without any prior knowledge, common sense would dictate that measures against this are taken, even if an ideal is just to be more careful.
Why do you think tug boats have tyres on them? They are *only* shoving against 360,000 tons of tankers that I watch from my living room window lol. Oops, there goes another 200 point damage bubble above one 🤣
@@stumpusMaximus Well lets see, I ran three different tug boats on the Chesapeake Bay and all three had tires running around the rails. As a matter of fact, on many tugs, the "push knee" is made from cut up tire treads bolted to a steel frame. The tugs I ran pushed 6 hopper barges for quarry stone, about 370 tons each when loaded. I ran a supply vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. It also had tires wrapped all the way around the bullworks with a single push knee on the bow made from stacked 1/3 cut tires. It carried supplies out to the oil fields in the Gulf but could be used as a tug/push boat. Maybe you should do a Google image search for "tug boats". The tires you will see aren't there so the boat can run down the interstate highway.

@@rudycrompton3179He called out the shady practices that game developers do; the developers put out a DLC when the base game isn’t even remotely stable enough to have a DLC.. He explained you need to have a solid base game instead of trying to do DLC’s also the dlc he bought was in my opinion the most worthless dlc and an obvious cash grab All it did was allow you to drive a trash truck and not spend like 75$ in game to empty out your trash containers… Hope this helped !
One tip. Do not save on the fish farm with your boat docked next to it. I loaded my save, and it clipped the boat into the farm, destroying the boat and deleting a 950k boat from the map. I forgot to get the insurance. Big oof. Back to longlining for me. 4 2500 hook lines averages 1m so I can get it back, but still.
I worked as a longliner for 20 years now in Norway, and yes, the captain has to manouver the boat correctly for the line to stay in good work position.😅
FYI for those that haven't updated their game, they added an initial autopilot today. It's not the fast travel of the Fishing games, but will follow map waypoints. Long-range trips are a little more bearable now.
Once you add the fish food you can ‘wait’ in your boat cabin and then the fish will grow then you can sell them when they are above 6kg, just need to wait for 24 hours, same with the long lines you wait for 16 hours then reel them in and you get alot more fish
You still have your previous ship in the garage, you can swap between them and the big one should be able to hold the bigger fish feeds, as its made for transportation.
A boat like that should have a little television, either flatscreen or an ol' CRT in it so you can watch TV while letting the line soak. It'd maybe even benefit from a rugged waterproof laptop.
Now I'm probably wrong here but isn't that little dot in the middle of your screen a "crosshair"? So you're trying to hit the fish with the hook, rather than swinging on the fish while the crosshair is on the head instead of lining the hook up?
hey if you do a long trip delivery, there will be a delivery in that area to take back to rost as well so you are making money going to and from there.
i used to hate it when you took loans in these kind of games but now i realize that taking loans and struggling to pay them is part of the drae channel experience.
not sure Drae look up Tuna per pound or sword fish per pound, for instance a small tuna is around 40 pounds and between 5 to 8 dollars per pound. So i could see you make bank but yea the boat might not hold that amount.
I don’t care what you do as long as you have fun playing the game f everyone else who doesn’t like it they don’t matter

The fish are split in stacks of small, medium and large. Thats why you have up to three of each. Also it's almost 10 NOK to 1 USD, so 450k is actually just $48k or around 60 canadian.
Hooks on those lines are at minimum about a meter apart (it’s obviously a lot more in the game) but going by that logic-the lines by themselves would be 2.5 kilometers long with 2,500 hooks
I can't get to full throttle. For some reason it acts like I hit something invisible and it's stops me and makes me turn sharp left. Sp for long distance I have to travel 3/4 throttle. About 13 knots
Ya know..if you go a bit slower coming into the dock area..less likely you'll hit something. Also, would suggest going WAY slower when pulling in lines.
The super annoying part is when you get to the fish farm with the big bags, you have to hand unload them 50kgs at a time. Hoping that they’ll add a small crane to them as an upgrade or something soon so you can hover the big bag over the feed fill hole and empty it all in quickly

Hope the dev improve the fish farm food delivery, when u use the 500KG u need to put the fish food in by 50KG each time. 4x500KG=40x walk back and fro to input the fish food in the fish farm.
Technically yes. It's made by the same people who many both fishing Bering strait and fishing north Atlantic, the big differences is 1. Ships at sea is made in unreal engine 5, where as the others are made in unreal engine 4, and 2. Ships at sea is introducing other jobs outside of just fishing
As far as I can tell the fish you're missing is because you're hitting them with the wood not the actual metal pokey bit It looks to me like you have to hit them in the head with that bit specifically, not just in general. maybe just try standing a step or two farther back than you normally do, it seems like the ones you do get are when they are farther away
I think this will be a good game some day but that day is not yet. This game should never have gone to Early access with the state it is in. It feels like they have only been working on it a few weeks. This needs more time before it will be playable.

DRAE, if you look at the cleats on the dock after you dock your boat, you can reel the boat in closer to you
omg, that's going to make loading the 500kg fish food bag so much easier.
2500 hook line are 1.5 kilometers long cod and halibet at beginning game are the highest price. Drop your line as soon as you hit the fish habitat.
Drae getting massive loans is an all time classic
And screw up ewerything and broke game...
We still need to have some gambling addiction of that crazy fisherman 🤣
i really love it when drae plays fishing boat game, not to forget the virtual sea sickness lol

I'm glad that I found drae a long time ago he's just in my daily routine now thanks drae for making my days better ❤❤

Exactly, his problem is he talks so much about NOTHING, he misses 75% of how to run the game...😠
I enjoy watching you play that game. Go on
Thanks for enjoying our game!
I love this game I'd love to watch longer videos if it would be possible with the frustration of glitches and crashing
yay! drae is playing loan simulator again
The 2500 hook line is 2.5km long. Also there is a fish habitat just east of vedoya that pulls alot of pollock haddock and catfish
A lot
Loving this game, wish you'd post more, anxious to play

With your boat being that damaged it would make sense it would take in some water and start to sink.
As a Norwegian i love this
im excited to see Drae drive the medium to large boats
Lol the time you got that longline in at powerboat speed, you were in the dock pulling the last one in 😅
Looking forward to watching Draw learn how much work is involved with the "passive income" from fish farms.
You can pull the boat in closer to the dock is you look where the rope attaches
upgrading boats first is the best way to go . you will have to make 14 trips a day on day 6-8 on fish farm with small boat.
Great series.
Drea should make a 3 second video of him clicking the “install” button on the propeller it would get millions of views
Thier is no limit for now on that boat I've been playing it and made a couple of millions in a trip on that boat it was fun
this one was great excited for the next one
Would love to see a drae fishing vlog!!
i used to hate it when you took loans in these kind of games but now i realize that taking loans and struggling to pay them is part of the drae channel experience.
step back a little bit from the side of the boat to hook the fish makes it way easier and stop the boat when you hook on to the line
not sure Drae look up Tuna per pound or sword fish per pound, for instance a small tuna is around 40 pounds and between 5 to 8 dollars per pound. So i could see you make bank but yea the boat might not hold that amount.

More of this game please!!!
Interested to see how this goes. MIght need to do some fishing to afford the bigger cargo boat
This is a great series. I hope one day my videos are as good as these.
@drae you have to hit them right befor they break through the suface of the water
Hooks on those lines are at minimum about a meter apart (it’s obviously a lot more in the game) but going by that logic-the lines by themselves would be 2.5 kilometers long with 2,500 hooks
My guess is that in the games they’re about 3-4 meters apart so it’d be 7.5-10 kilometers
You have to aim for the Hook when the Fish comes up that works way better.... Thanks for the cool vids
why not stop the boat while reeling the line in??
49th Like.. earliest I have been so far, keep the content up man!
9:50 maan drae is moving waaay to fast in. His boat
Another banger. As per the usual.

“There wit is” 😂😂😂
Use neutral when hauling in lines
When upgrading your engine, be sure to upgrade your throttle as well.
It might help to hook the fish if the boat isnt doing 55mph?
Take the boat out of gear to haul the lines
if i ever get the chance...im never going fishin with Drae
Hey Drae you ever gonna hop back in to Green Hell and check on Speedy
Drae: I actually used to be a fisherman…
and i can see why you are no longer a fisherman 😂
u can fit for per run 10x 50kg fish food your ship 4+4+2
I can't get to full throttle. For some reason it acts like I hit something invisible and it's stops me and makes me turn sharp left. Sp for long distance I have to travel 3/4 throttle. About 13 knots

yes, the fishing boats have infinite capacity at this time
It seems I can also get seasick watching a video. Good times.

Those big bags turn into the 50kg bags so you can load it on the smaller boat

Can you use fishing rods in this game???
What happend to mon bazou it’s been so long since you played it and I want to see more
"I'm a fisherman and an Aquarist. I love fish" The fish may disagree while he's out ripping lips.
K430,500 is about $84,000 CAD or $61,000 USD so that was a pretty lucrative haul glitches aside
