yes Drae, the fish have 3 stacks because there is Small, Medium, and large size fish. it's why you can get 9 fish weighing 189kg, 12 for 141kg, and 85 for 2,900kg. Also, i've found the easiest way to hook the fish is to aim at the bottom of the pgysical hook, not the fish model, and the distance is what matters. since, only the actual metal hook part on your stick has the hitbox.. Tho, trying to click a few times *just* as their leaving the water seems to work the best for me, and spam clicking is fine, it doesn't seem like the full swing animation on the hook has to complete to actually hook the fish.

Ikr didnt really realize it much at the time but dude was litteraly the only thing i had to look forward to as a kid didnt even have power or water most nights. Just downloaded his vids while at school and watched when id get home. Kept me happy which has helped me become a happy adult

I used to supply the oil fields out from the Louisiana coast. Occasionally that meant running out of Morgan City and 20 miles of the Atchafalaya River. In late fall the fog rolls in nearly every morning and is sometimes so thick you can't see the bow of the boat from the pilot house. I'll skip the explainable reason for this condition, but it lasts from November into January all along the Gulf Coast. It's rare NOT to have morning fog. The amazing thing is when you get about a mile off shore, you actually drive through the fog bank wall. It literally goes from being thick as pea soup to no fog at all. If you look behind your boat you can see nothing but gray, while in front of you is clear blue skies. Navigating the river in this fog would be nearly impossible without a good radar.

@@AltonNelson-kr1qu Any chance we could get. White and Speckled Trout, Red Fish (Red Drum), Dolphin, Red Snapper, Rainbow Runner (Jackfish), King and Spanish Mackerel. The type of fish we caught depended on the depth of the platform from 25 ft to 250 ft.

I suggest giving the fishing spot that's up north a shot. I ran some 2500 lines and came back with $1m per line worth of fish.

There are some fun sound effects at the right times. Like when some weird bug launches something into the sky. It’s a little overdone in this video though

The fish farm is glitched. You must add fish and food and advance time without saving game. Once you save game with fish in the farm it breaks and they don't grow.
They grew, it just went from 2 kg to 8kg in one day, weird glitch
they fixed the glitch in the latest update. before that you have to add fish and food and advance time without saving and loading the game otherwise they won't grow at all

When reeling in the line, why doesn't Drae notice that you have to hock the fish before the head hits the surface. As long as the fish head is below the surface, you can hock it 😉
My best advice, slow down to 2.5knots and check your angle for pickup. It looks like angle is everything

Dre don’t forget you can auto pilot now and I know new game reviews can be stressful but watching your blood pressure go up is entertaining lol it makes for a good video
If your aiming slightly above the fish and to the left a bit while trying to gaf them on the boat you'll get them easy as. If you miss move back a bit and try the same aiming. Got 6 lines all perfect. Sometimes the first fish will glitch out just spam the hook and you have a chance to get it
note to the editor: less is more, be minimal with the sound fx and transitions otherwise it'll take the viewer out of the expirence and make them leave a comment

Oh no the cartoon sound effects are back
Every few months, Drae releases a video with wacky sounds added. My theory is that he goes on vacation and just hires an editor from Fiverr for a week or two 😂

he went on a vacation in between that house flipper episode and now, so unless he takes a vacation every week then i dont think so. and also the last update for this game was 7 days ago, so it has to be within that timeframe. and a channel with 2m subs and daily videos, im sure hes had an editor for a long time. i know even like 500k sub channels, like aliensrock, that post daily and have hired a couple editors.
Could you imagine how that mackerel would smell after being out that long. Love all you content my friend, some of the best on youtube. Much love and support in every thing you do.

I guess no one has told him the hatchery's are broke. Every time you save they go back to "1". Just fast forward time a few days and don't save
People have many times he just never seems to read comments, I’ve seen it mentioned at least 4 times
Also the nofliippy has got to be super broken. You had like 15 or 20 tons of fish in 20 foot long boat....lol
I'm pretty sure the hatchery is glitched. If you load a save, you have to, so it in 1 go they grow pretty quick, I think

So I've learned now, the way- currently- to fish is to get close to the first line buoy, cut your throttle and drift close enough to snag it and begin pulling it in with the boat in neutral. Way way easier to grab the fish, just as the hook is coming out of the water. It's definitely going to be patched/fixed later, though, as my first trip in a Flippy, using four 1000-hook lines, and dropping each of them only once, brought in 2 million NOK of fish. One trip and I can buy the Tier 2 fishing and Tier 1 service boats, and upgrades.
I was so excited to see this game didn't go away, look forward to more.

@drae Someone commented last video the fish farm breaks and doesn’t grow after you crash the game or something like that. You may need to reset it somehow.
There is no major port to the south, but there is one to the far north. I actually really like that port over Rost. I might be misspelling it, but it’s Vaeroy

Fun fact: the letter ø is pronounced kinda like the eu in the French word bleu or just a very nasal ooh
So basically the letter Ö just with a dash through the O rather than two dots above it for us germans

The tower at about 16 minutes is a water tower.
Drae . I pull up to the boy and if you hit x it kills the engine so the line stays normal out the side lol

Definitely feels like you overdid it on the sound effects in this one. Using them to highlight something silly is happening is fine, but here they've been applied to the most mundane things.

Holy shit, the boats actually sit in the water now. I hated how before how the boats only sat like a foot in the water, half the time the damn prop was popping out of the water.
Edit: Never mind he just showed the outside view, can still fully see the props from the rear wake...sigh...
The tower on the island ther is a water tower. No fresh water naturally so need to be stored som wher.

Hey Drae, I know you are trying new things, but I personally think that some of these sound effects are over the top. A game bug like a flying ship due to physics deserves some effect imo but not you being surprised fish have died or a door opening in the normal game intended fashion. Something that plops into existence deserves a plop sound too. Please reconsider the use of sound effects. Some feel very over the top. I will watch the videos anyway cause you are just entertaining 😊

I would be stationary while hauling, that's what I've done and been very successful
So what I'm noticing from your gameplay and mine is that you have to look at the lowest part of the line before the water and as soon as their head comes out of the water you hook them. The one at 6:45 you had the speed of the boat too fast so it was making the line go way out. Hope it helps and if that doesn't help I am sorry.
I'm gonna be another person saying no more of these sound effects please.. they're annoying, distracting, and actively take away from the quality of the video, *especially* when they're overly used. (like when you were putting the fish food in the hatchery at 12:00.) They make the videos they're in feel like the videos are made for elementary school kids.
I love watching your videos and have been watching for years and years, but I might have to stop if this keeps up. It's just too annoying for me.

From what I can tell by the video you don't have to hit the fish head cause the boat just stores the fish anyway, if you dont "catch" them. I think you are wasting your time 😅
