@@TyranisCustoms I'm building karts, mini bikes, my pops made his own 3 wheel chopper from a 4 wheeler axel and a mini chopper frame, gas scooters, and a moped. We did mods and builds. Right now im taking a 5hp 126 robin out of my shreakin green machine and im installing 212 with a custom straight pipe, tav2, and an exhaust upgrade. Hoping to get this 40 sprocket running fine to do some test runs. If it goes fastish today then tomorrow I'm heading out to get an 8hp for it with a tav2. Upgrades come 1 by 1. I wanna throw everything into this kart and call it as it seems: "AMAZING!" how I wish i could be apart of tyranis customs irl. My life would be complete. My main wish before I pass is to be on a channel where they rebuild/restore old toys/machines oooooor ones that have fainted and must be braught back to life
Your torque converter is setup wrong!! It’s not your fault, the fault lies with who ever sold it to you. I bet your belt gets real hot, and probably doesn’t last long. Also I bet your engine struggles on top end. If you respond to this I will tell you what I know, and how to fix it! Just FYI
I think I know what you're gonna say haha. This is in fact how a 40 series is assembled stock. However in this orientation, as the driver and driven torque converters engage, the driver pushes the belt towards the engine and the driven pulls it away. This causes the belt to ride on a bit of an angle, causing excessive wear, friction, and everything else you mentioned. Comet documentation shows you should have the driven pulley with the flat side out (opposite of how we have it) so as driver and driven pulley engage, they are sliding the belt the same way and thus, better performance. If you do this you need to get a driven pulley spring of the reverse coil as you are currently running. And I've been procrastinating 😅
@@TyranisCustoms glad you know!!! You could also remove all the added washers, and reverse the clutch, it will mount either way .I have seen it done and it worked. Just make sure it lines up after reversing. Which ever way you go, it will make a HUGE difference.
Who was here before they became famous?! Loving the builds
I'm pinning this for when we blow up 🤜🏻💥🤛🏻
