same here, I tend to inflate mine tightly and keep the cover snug to create runoff. I may try a different approach this year, inflate to 50-60% and keep the water level higher with a cover on the skimmer inlet. I have an oval pool, so maybe 4 pillows in a + configuration
I got a new one this Year and it still deflated 😡 just about every year it deflates

My pillow went flat as well . Why no need to replace the pillow ?
